I started a 3rd playthrough 2 days ago because i thought something was missing , maybe i didn't do enough , or maybe i need to do more exploring
The tree king is the only one on this list I didn’t know about. I love that this game still has stuff to find so many years later.

I found another tree person by accident one day. He’s a little northwest of Manteca Falls near the place where you find the Legendary Tatanka Bison. I was just riding aimlessly one day trying to fill the compendium and there was some dude up in a tree. Cool stuff.

It’s crazy. The game was released 4 years ago and people still find new stuff every day. Undoubtedly one of the best games of all time
Number 9. is actually an alchemist not a moonshiner, there's an article about him trying to turn tin into gold in one of the newspapers, also it's called alchemists house on the map.

I've played this game off and on (currently on) since it released. I still find new things. Someday I still hope to catch the Legendary Bullhead Catfish, in which I shall find the skeleton of Gavin

how have I never come across Poor Joe? The spot up there near was my go-to spot for hunting moose, I don't know how often I rode up there. Can't believe I never met the guy!
If you perch next to the monk for a while, about half hour or so.. an alternative dialog opens up where he asks you something and you get the option to answer or stay silent...
I know all of these thanks to The Strange Man. But it’s great to see others like yourself doing these as well. Can’t get enough Red Dead. Deepest game ever made.

For #7, the Devil Hermit, it's possible to jump up there using the opening to the right - but it's very difficult to do. Sadly there's nothing new/cool to find up there but I wanted to share the fact that it's possible.
im pretty sure listening to his voice the way he holds his hand up to his mouth i think he's a nod to Dr Evil.
Is you get drunk in the cave for secret #7 ('The Devil Hermit') and pass out, you'll wake up out of bounds and can explore freely.
Its quite something that this game is 4 years old and a TH-camr is finding value in spending time doing videos like this. To be clear, there are a bunch of interesting little secrets on this game that I have never seen, and I have played through RDR2 a bunch of times and I still find options/dialog/encounters that I've never seen before. The game is such a treasure trove of little interesting details in the open world, better than anything else I've ever experienced (which includes the Witcher 3, Skyrim, and GTA 5)
i just found the antler knife a couple days ago for the first time too, and had no idea about the tree king until now. i’ve been playing since release.
The giant skeleton seems to be a reference to the figure of the legendary Paul Bunyan, who was a huge lumberjack. He is accompanied by Babe the Blue Ox. A bovine skeleton can also be found there. According to the story Paul Bunyan was killed during a brawl by a blow to the back of his head with a mallet, which corresponds to the broken skull of the skeleton. His favorite weapon was a club.
never knew about the monk I've got to 98% completion and I've not once seen him thats so awesome

Most times you ride by he isn't there. I have to camp nearby to get him to spawn.
Fun Fact: If any of you thought the Antler Knife "secret" seems familiar, it's because it's a direct homage to the film The Revenant.
Only difference is Hugh Glass didn't survive this time 😅
I thought it was a tribute to Legends of the Fall, Brad Pitt's character had an antler knife in that movie and fought a bear to the death with it in his final scene in that movie.

I have replayed RDR2 3 times. I won’t spoil anything. But I cried each time. This game is so beautiful and is the first red dead redemption game I’ve played I adore it so much and it’s honestly changed my life and outlook on it

Never been hit by lighting. Done mutiple playthroughs Came across the monk on my 5th playthrough also came across a rustling side mission with uncle and many more things. This and witcher 3 have given me some of the best ecploration and discovery.
Also pro tip for the moonshine in strawberry, you can rob the register and steal any items on display for a tiny honor loss but no wanted status. So if you need supplies, do the moonshine first then raid the store

Me too! I was wandering round, looking for the rock carvings and killing o driscolls/raiders/whoever has the balls to threaten me and I came across those remains.

I think the cave devil is the same cave you can go to a certain wall, get drunk, and wake up outside the map. I successfully did that once and it was neat to explore the no no zones and take pictures on the border lines of one area and another. You can even pose next to dangerous animals because they are not active.
Yes, if you take a left after the rope bridge, go to the end and pass out.

In my most recent play through I visited the camp more often and noticed there’s way more side robberies with the gang than I realized rustling cattle with uncle, coaches with Micah and Bill, Lenny has a coach robbery too in Shady Belle but the payout and info is pretty much a dud lol, still love ya LENNYYY

The first playthrough I employed fast travel. On my second playthrough, I didn't use it once and took all sorts of detours. I loved the game already, but the game really shouldn't have the option to fast travel. You discover so much more and allows you to organically discovering these secrets.
I would only fast travel if I had a skin I’d been looking for forever. As you know, the quickest way to wind up hip deep in shit creek is to have one or more difficult to locate perfect pelts on your horse. Lol

The fact for 8, the big skeleton, I forgot where I've seen it but there was a theory that the skeleton is if Paul Bunyan. There is an ox skeleton nearby somewhere if I remember correctly
