@@ne9835 It 100% is. Your nervous system literally shuts down when your body gets too cold. To try and preserve what it can, your body will shut various parts of your body down. Freezing in water is painless and you'll be complete unconscious while drowning.

I can understand that he wanted justice for his daughter. But he just killed innocent people, including police officers.

It's natural... That is the shape vengeance takes, and no one will convince one that it is wrong to sacrifice obstacles along the way of revenge... And revenge is sometimes justice... We can make the distinction between justice and revenge from the comfort of our homes because we're not the ones whose daughter has been raped and murdered, so we do not experience the same reality... For someone who lost their child to such evils, it becomes natural to burn an entire city down in order to exact their version of justice...
I'm not saying it's right, but it is simply built into all of us... A more primal natural tendency lurks within, and man is only at the mercy of good fortune to act like they know what justice means... All we need is a little push, a little trigger.

You're forgetting that Miguel killed 3 other police officers and other prisoners that had nothing to do with his daughter’s death
I think up until that point Martin may not have been completely sure Nano committed the crime, because he so adamantly proclaimed his innocence. But once he knew, he helped him out in the end 👍🏼

Exactly. When they shook hands and went about their ways I was like "Don't you wanna group up and try to start a campfire before freezing to death?" But I guess the cold never bothered them anyways.

Most deaths in freezing water are not from hypothermia or frostbite but rather from shock. If you survive the first 2 minutes, you're already doing better than most.

Martin's actor plays a lot of roles as a cop in Spanish films, but there is a running joke, he wouldn't be able to join the force because he doesn't reach the minimum height officially required to.

These horror and thriller films always have this one basic plot issue... A car or a truck can still run on flat tire(s). Especially special armoured vehicles that are often on run-flat tires. I am so used to seeing "television" videos showing police cameras saving or arresting someone, people who have been recorded doing something incredible, others not so much etc... that when I read the title of this video, at first I thought that someone had recorded a policeman abandoning a van full of people in a frozen lake, I was shocked. Then I saw the name of the channel and I breathed calmly, but god, for a moment my heart stopped
This movie is from my country and I haven't even seen it, that's the level of stupidity on my part

I think he learned that rules must bend sometimes. That's the point. However, if you are in cold water in cold environement, you need IMMEDIATE warmth or you die within minutes. They say freezing cold so it can't be more than 20 maybe 30 out. It could be 10 below. If it's 10 below, you have a few minutes. You'd need to strip naked and have your body pressed witha warm dry naked human under warm covers. Or a fire. a big fire. Your adrenaline can only take you so far.
... Thats the whole entire point of the movie... He changed his mind, no longer believing following the rules was always necessarily the right choice. Same reason he tortured the guy at the end to find where he buried the body.
realistically, Martin also has no means to keep the prisoner from escaping, regardless of him saving Martin's life.

THEN he shud've let the father have his revenge instead Martin stopped him. And took it upon himself to find the whereabouts of the body buried (like a cop bound by rules). Anyway, cant read too much into such a character which is assaulted by logic and illogic simultaneously.

That Nano had admitted a major crime right in front of a policeman by making front of the attacker. All it would take later was a mafia style interrogation to later get the body's location. Bullying and lying about it.

I understand why he wanted to know where the daughter is and to take revenge, but that does not justify to kill innocent others, the cops and inmates have family too. How can he seek a proper burial by killing others. The plot is flawed..
(Edit: well the plot is as is and is fine. I wanted to take the dad's side, but his actions don't allow me to, maybe that is the flaw ... but only personally for me)

I can't remember exactly the full movie, but I think they father used a rifle to shot the 3 cops and the van windows, and then used the shotgun that was inside his car trunk. So its correct, one rifle, one shotgun.

Except for the fact that Miguel murdered three police officers who had nothing to do with his daughter's death. While he isn't as monstrous as Nano or El Chino, he's definitely one of them now.

This spanish movie is slightly based upon a real crime, not the attack to the van, but what happend to the daughter of the police officer.

This is a monumentally bad idea. People already have problems with how often the police get it wrong and most suspects in a lineup/are accused walk because they were mistakenly identified. Your solution is to let people go after whoever they think did something?
