      The swipe feature has also been an option at a third-party app on android for years. And yet other companies also hade it way before apple or google or Samsung. Why people keep saying o it's stolen from here or from there blah blah blah is stupid. The fact that both platforms take good things from each other is good for everyone in the end.

      @@THEGAMINGHELP101 Apple is usually the one to make it popular. They're never the first, but they always end up popularizing it. They did it with the mouse, phones with touchscreens, face id (by making it way better than samsung's crud), and now the swipe up interface.

      Gotta say the 'stealth' buttons, ie. The three faint lines at the bottom of the screen is the best way to get around my phone I've had yet, cant imagine swipe gestures would give me more control vs accidental touches

      @Md Pepper Unless you are the admin it may be intentionally disabled. Gsuite allows you to enable/disable available apps to users on the account. If you are the admin make sure access is enabled.

      I'm on the legacy Free tier. I have reset my siblings passwords and screen locks more times than I would like to admit. I will never upgrade to a paid tier unless I get the full Google Account functionality.

    Wifi passwords sharing is there since a long time in custom skinned android like MIUI.

      iOS did that arguably better. If you’re connected to a network, and another iOS device is trying to connect, it’ll send a pop up to the host’s device and they can choose whether to let them in or deny it. no scanning or sharing passwords required.

    For the new Swipe gesture they could have just kept the 2nav option (which is from pie) the same, meaning they should have kept the swipe to switch through ALL open apps, it's more useful anyway than just being anle to switch to the last open app.

    Overall, I do like my new 10 phone. Love the dark mode. I HATED gestures. Tried to like it for 2 weeks. Not happening. I switched back to the good old buttons on the bottom. I'm super happy with it now 😊

    I've got an Elephone P9000. A decent phone, but the thing is that it only has a single button (touch based, not mechanical-clicky one) and if you press it once, it goes back, press it twice it goes to home screen and if you hold it it opens recent apps. I think that is really nice and easy to use.

    So like, I can do pretty much everything mentioned ab appearance with Nova and the appropriate theme. Nova is unstoppable the level of customization you can do, not just darker themes and the drop down allows easy audio output change

      @@louis.bodota Fast Share will have no problem due to older hardware. It is being pushed via Google Play Services and will transfer files via WiFi.
      So pretty much every android device with working Play Services will get Fast Share when Google pushes the updates.
      Unlike Android Beam which was dependent on hardware and was painfully slow and limited in functionality

    Conclusion: Android is not really advanced, but the phone makers taking advantage of the Android's open source are the ones that are advanced. Google is officially releasing dark mode in the same year as Apple is (for smartphones I mean), but other companies had it for more than a year.

      yeah but before now have there been any apps that respected a xiaomi dark mode? nope. even on ios a couple of apps like the microsoft suite has dark mode, and historically ios devs are much faster at adopting new features.
      so yes, android vendors may have “had” dark mode, its basically restricted to a couple of the system apps, and i dont know anyone whos in the settings app for that long

    Regarding to the bluetooth audio thing, Samsung already have it in their SmartThings app. When we're connected to more than one bluetooth audio device, we can change it by swiping down the notification bar and it's under the brightness setting.

    Thank you for covering the new accessibility options. High time tech reviewers/creators start pointing those out. I was so happy to see how much Google paid attention to that with this release, and equally thrilled when you guys covered it. It'd be cool to see related reviews/opinions when they're available for other hardware etc. Then again, I suppose that depends on manufacturers supplying information about all that to be reviewed. :)

    IMHO the Oneui swipe gestures where you swipe up from the bottom middle to go home, swipe up from the bottom left to go to the app switcher, and swipe up from the bottom right as a back button is better than the iOS gestures

    HTC U12 has an awesome and easy to use screen recorder. Besides the 3 navigation buttons you add some more like screenshot, screen recorder etc...and you just swipe right on the navigation bar to access the next set of buttons. Simple and easy to use.😁

      Ikr i'm still on android 8 on my samsung while my brother got update for android 9......5 months ago on samsung galaxy note while google launched about half a year ago

      @@cgmoreda It really does, as an Android developer, when selecting the target Android version for a new app your notified as a percentage how many devices would support your app with that target version, even if you target Android 8 Oreo you'll only be reaching ~6% of Android devices

    the gesture is basically like MIUI one lol.
    Miui as a lot of features that android a just have, like share a WiFi password via qr code

    Just bought mi9 last week. And found out that one feature linus talked about was already in miui10, that wifi qr password sharing thing. the gesture almost the same except swiping for cycling recent apps, had something similar but different. You swipe from the right/left in the middle screen area and hold it for a second for instant switching to previous app.
    I hope this device would get more of those features you said in the future

    Kinda funny how Samsung has been easy to accomplish the dark mode, screen recorder, and even desktop mode before Google.

      Dark mode has been a thing for the last 5 years nothing new, heck you can do it with every substratum supported rom on your Samsung device. What's new is you can force darkmode in every app, system wide. Samsung never did have anything remotely like this without rooting.

      The notification bar right now on stock android is what you could find in the Samsung S2 and S3, I'd say the s4's notification shade and "quick settings" was better than even stock android 9 😂

      And if you install Samsung's one hand gestures app you can configure gestures to be the same or better than the Android 10 ones.
      I swipe from the side to the left for back button, to the left and up for switching to the most recent app, and to the left and down for opening recent apps menu, in addition to the stock bottom gestures.
      And you can configure it to do other things as well like turning on your flash light!
