+Taimir Gore Yeah I remember reading on his official Facebook page last year. Not able to find it anymore, but he basically said that he was heartbroken.
Please do more milo interviews. Also, it would be really amazing if you do a podcast with Illogic, he has very few interviews and he is honestly one of the greatest rapper/poets of all time, just listen to celestial clockwork. please please please
Hearing this after months of listening to So The Flies Don't Come and after months of listening to Milo in general it's just wonderful, kind of weird but very relatable. I kinda feel like good just knowing about his existence and his thoughts in and out of his music; I don't want to say it but it's like a follow up to kind of artist, someone I want to be like in the sense of his decisions and his power of will, just saying.
It would have been nice if you asked him how the novel White Noise by Don Delillo inspired toothpaste suburb. There were a lot of references and lyrics that came from that novel verbatim. Plus I thought the record worked contextually with the novel. He also named it after a line from another Delillo novel. Ok enough ramming that question down your throat haha this was a great conversation regardless.
You were talking about Jay Electronica and not being tethered to a location, and irony is, Jay Electronica really mythologizes that part of his personal narrative: he moved around a lot specifically for the dream of making it elsewhere, in the vein of 'getting out of Connecticut'. Check out Departure: I'm on I-10 East bound to Manhattan NYC. Yes, sir, that's rap land A one way ticket, a trunk of clothes I spent my last 25 cent on Pac-Man Mister bus driver set me free; Just take me to New York and let me be I think it's a strong part of Hip-Hop to 'get out of the hood'. In Departure too, the whole song is about a tragic situation that Jay Electronica as a young man couldn't avoid getting into. You could of course say that milo's choice to stay at home is unlike that (like Anthony does), but maybe milo just found his own mythological narrative of getting out of struggles, centered around exploring 'homeness' rather than 'the elsewhere'.
+sowasvoneinfallslos Deutsche unter Anthonys Videos hätte ich eigentlich nicht erwartet. Andererseits gibt es in Deutschland einfach kein vergleichbaren Kanal. Zumindest was die Thematik Musik an geht.
I can feel the sexual tension in this interview
Anthony & Milo should do weekly podcast. Double glazing podcast. Because glasses
It would instantly become my favorite podcast.

Much Respect to Milo for knowing LA underground history & paying respect to the OGs. I cannot wait to hear his new record!
When Anthony asked him about Kenny Segal's production, I really wanted him to answer with "Well Kenny Segal's drums sound like he's dropping desks..."

That thing at the end was hideous, I don't know if it's an ironic joke or something, but it feels out of place in a busy music nerd's podcast.
