So on my car it was permanently on so instead of connecting to the battery I connected it to the hot side of my headlight and used a amplifier for more power on the led it works just as well.😊
Will the light bar block air going into radiator, or it won’t affect it? Thinking about putting lights inside like that but not sure if the lights will block air from hitting radiator, thanks for the feedback
Hi, maybe you can help me. I’m trying to add a sound off headlight flasher to Mazda 3 2010 hatchback 2nd generation. Could you explain to me what is the positive wire on the back of a high beam. I have a blue wire and black with a yellow stripe. Also I connected the headlight flasher and the beams just stay on permanently even with the car turned off. Thanks
Similar issue here, but trying to figure out to work with the four-on-mod where lows and high beams both work when the highs are turned on. GM triggers the lights with grounds. If just wanting a light bar to come on with the high beams, the trigger can come from the low beam ‘ground’ to a RELAY. When highs are turned on the low beam ‘ground’ will go back to its normal (positive +) state and this trigger the led. If just use the ‘ground’ to trigger the light it comes on when the vehicle is off too.
Is there a reason my bar lights are flashing when I shut my key off now? Only thing I done different was I tapped into jumper box labeled (+) instead of tapping into actual fuse box.
I have halo lights inside my headlights and I want them to work with my high beams and low beams, right now I have them connected to my low beams and every time I turn on my highbeams the halos lights turn off will this method work for my current situation?
Hopefully you can help me out what if i have 2 Medium Spot Lights i want to connect would i need to do this twice ? And the ground has to go to the battery or can i put it against a metal frame (hole) thank you
@@PowerstrokeBoiz well if you want to have the light bar wired to the high beams for country road driving where their aren’t any cops but for in town or more public roads you don’t want it on your high beam switch, that might be what he wants it for
Is everything still holding up fine up to this point? Planning on doing this next week when my bar arrives but I want to make sure the draw of the light bar isn't going to affect my high beam circuit
@@PowerstrokeBoiz hey man. Quick question if you don't mind. I hooked my bar up today just like you showed in the video, but the problem I'm having is that the light constantly stays on, even with the headlights off and the ignition switched off. Any idea what I might've done wrong?
@ seanogfn1407 and hidden_killz5102 The system has as relay the high beans uses. If he had used a separate switch in the cab, then he would need a new relay.
Ground to the highbeam to ground of the light bar and positive of the light bar to the battery. Fuse included. When I hook my battery up the light bar comes on! Why!
@@PowerstrokeBoiz I figured out another way. Working good so far. Hooked the light bar up to the hi beam wiring with a fuse added in the positive. Hasn’t given me an issue so far.
Light Bar just stays on the whole time doesn’t work with your headlights like it was suppose to… save yourself the time and Wire it to a two way which. This video is a terrible how to video doesn’t even work DONT WASTE YOUR TIME LIKE I DID.!!!
A bad way to wire extra lights, u should always use a relay, or there is a big chance of burning the column switch contacts, very expensive to replace whole column switch and the bother too. U got away lucky so far, but some day you WILL turn lights on and lose everything. because of a missing 5 euro relay.
@@PowerstrokeBoiz if I were to use a relay, instead of using a switch could I wire it to the headlights? So basically the headlights act as the switch for the circuit
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!
This method works with GM VEHICLES ONLY! GM headlights turn on via ground, not positive like most cars!
I believe Toyota also on negative side
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this comment. I want to do this on my Gladiator but was wondering WTF is he using the ground wire for the trigger.
THANK YOU! Been searching all forums with no luck!
No problem! 😎
Game changing! Thanks! For the haters its a geo, dont care if there is a better more advanced way. It works.

Would this same method work out if I wanted the light bar to come on with the fog lights instead ?
Thats what i did, i wires it straight to the fog light relay
I would just go to a plug in for the fog lights and get a splitter, one to fog light and one to light bar
sooooo, lets assume that someone has a fuse that is for both high AND low beams. then what?
you can wire it to your beams find the ground and high beam power and hook up to those
can you answer something, can i wire positive to my highbeam, run ground to somewhere on car then use a relay from the positive back to the battery?
Wouldn't that overload the vehicle relay and fuses? Shouldn't there be a separate relay to power the light bar?
Works great BUT when my headlights shut off the light bar stays on any help on that one? 2001 Chevy 2500 hd

Tht little surface area being covered isn’t going to hurt anything

So ground of the highbeam to ground of the light bar, and positive of the light bar to battery. Correct l?
Yes

Use a 4 Pin relay. Using the ground wire( Pin 85 ) from the light bar, use it to simply ground a relay powering your other device
How did you mount the light bars I’ve been looking for videos of this model truck for behind the grill light bar can’t find any
Just make custom brackets I built myself
Very helpful 👍
So what that means, it will work when high beams only are on, am I right? Also the link is not working anymore :/
Yes
Would it be possible to put a switch into the circuit to turn the lightbar off while on high beam
At that point just wire them to a switch from the start 😅
