Her giggling with Greg over laminator is one of the best moment in the series, but then again, also when her bowl of guacamole got smashed by Rhod who won the episode - sorry, Kerry.
I adore Kerry. She is definitely in my top 5 contestants of all time. I thought they had an interesting chat on this pod about balancing the right types of people to be on the show. It's why I think the very popular idea of a 'loser of losers' series would never work; guys you need boshers like Kerry to do a great job to contrast the less good people. It just doesn't work if everyone sucks.
Then again, the champion of champions thing worked, didn't it? And the beautiful thing is that even the worst contestants absolutely smashed a task every now and then, and it was never by going Route 1. I guess that is why the LOL idea is so popular...
I think the Patatas task hinted that the cat should be treated carefully by personifying it with a name. I don't think they left out how this task would be scored, it just wasn't purely stated.
@@renthicya I get your point but that's not even close to being comparable or used as a relevant example. The name or word 'Taskmaster' has never been used in such close proximity to people like the ones you're referring to. Now if that mini, moustached wearing dictator had been given the nickname Taskmaster, it would be a different case. :-)
@@renthicya That has nothing to do with intellectual property law, so it's a complete red herring. Also, referring to the fucking Nazi party as one with simply a "bad reputation" is an incredibly dishonest thing to say.

Jess to me would be a can of gourmet fizzy drink that you accidentally drop while eating the other tapas, and then when you open the can, it turns into liquid fireworks.
I just saw Jo Brand magnificent laminator/horse row of guesses and it was fantastic. It reminded me of kerry godliman, fantastic guest, and the coincidence (not really as they know the prize ahead of time) with the trophy from her making an appearance at the beginning.
If the next podcast was put up at the same time as this on other podcast sites why has it not been put up on here? I also want to finish this series on the podcast before the new show proper s11 starts :')
The background does some weird magic eye stuff if you let it. If it's intentional I can't make out what it is, but I know it's not Josh Widdicombe's terrible Happy Easter magic eye.
For the prize task from this episode I would have gone either a cool blue flavored Gatorade or a copy of the movie perfect blue, which is in most ways, the perfect blue
I feel like the tapas-titles went a bit wrong there, i think Jessica is the baked goats cheese with herbs and honey, just a layered delight, and Phil sort of forced himself in to the position of the stuffed olives? ;-)
It’s honestly almost embarrassing just how excited I got when Ed referenced drag queens’ tucking in a quick, little, aside comment. (As well as Kerry seemingly understanding exactly what he was talking about.) To possess any information on drag queens tucking generally implies a pretty decent amount of knowledge on the art form, which usually goes hand-in-hand with appreciating it. And who doesn’t love to hear people you’re a fan of imply that they, quite possibly at least, are fans of something else that you really enjoy. Yes, as I already pointed out (At least somewhat, anyway.) , I’m a weirdo/dumb ass. LOL
Just a shame she doesn't have her trophy anymore ... if Taskmaster lore states when Katy stole it. CoC2 will be intresting if they want to continue continuity. Imagine if Katy returned for a few brief seconds to return the trophy.
I dont know what it is with Kerry but her kind of humor just does not work on me. Only contestant i got really annoyed by ever which was sad since the rest of the cast for her series is my absolute favorite :P
It really is a shame this guy is the podcaster. He's so try-hard. Full of niche references trying to be relatable to anyone, but its a thin veneer on top of narcissistic values. 🤢🤮
Time for a new host. Ed is getting repetitive and he's asking all the wrong questions, because he wants to be included in everything. Also Greg has said he was really tired of him sucking up to him.
My guess is that these were already prerecorded some time ago (except for the intros maybe) so they'll have to put these out one way or another Or maybe Ed's on a contract for the "season 1" of the podcast
@@alanacastillo90 Nope Richard Osman has already been on. last thursday to finish off the series they put kerry and osman on the same day. (spotifiy itunes ect) TH-cam just hasn't uploaded that episode yet. for the season 11 opener, Ed has Richard Herring back

That guacamole already turned grey, so it wasn't made very well.

Rather than have Loser of Losers, I'd rather the mad people. Sally Philips comes to mind. Put Rhod, James, Romesh and Aisling to complete it.
Kerry is so good! Funny, chatty, obviously a fan! Perfect guest! *yes I have a massive crush on her*

Kerry was an absolute delight!
I think this is my favourite podcast episode to date. SO great to have a contestant and a true fan. Love Kerry!
This was a really fun episode of the podcast. Kerry should be on more!
I believe "I Made Them Dance and They Just Looked Ground Down" was the title of the pilot.
Beautiful
"She really cares about Taskmaster..." That's why she tossed her trophy behind some crap on a shelf in her garage....?! :P
I don't think Disney would win a "Taskmaster" lawsuit; the word is too common. It'd be like suing over the words "venom" or "firefly".
Yeah, they wouldn't even bother. The word existed and was in use long before Walt Disney was born, never mind the company of Disney.

Love the shout-out to Richard Herring with the TMP (TMP!)
I've always thought Greggs old comedy partner Marek Larwood would be really good on Taskmaster.

I hope Ed wins Champ of Champs II. I can already hear the cries in the streets - there goes Ed Gamble, CoC.
Lol, I love how there are sometimes little jokes included almost specifically because Richard Herring watches/listens to the show and podcast
BOSH
Bosh indeed
I really enjoyed Kerry as a contestant.
@8:10: I independently also thought Jess would be like croquetas, but mainly because they tend to fall off the plate.

I'd have gone for some kind of fried banana for Wang :D
I, too, hate the texture of cardboard! Building boxes stressed me out but that was still such a funny task XD

There was also a wrestler called The Taskmaster
Indeed! Kevin Sullivan. WCW's Dungeon Of Doom

Katy returned it, and it's back in Kerry's garage. They talk about it in this episode of the podcast.
@@jenniferd37 yeah caught that at the very end...
Taskmaster fans see Kerry, they say bosh.
RHLST...wait, did he say TMP?
Aside - He did, and he knows that's Herring's schtick

Lol. TMP, wonder if Richard Herring has had any input?? ;)

Why Ed would you dampen the excitement of a new series by inviting, the worst contestant/winner/podcast guest (Richard Herring) back ?
Time for a new host. Ed is getting repetitive and he's asking all the wrong questions, because he wants to be included in everything. Also Greg has said he was really tired of him sucking up to him.
Maybe if there were consistently two hosts? Like off menu but with someone else maybe
Source for Greg saying that?
B’jebus guys, talk about ignoring your real fans, get Richard herring to host this please!! He invented podcasting for god sake!!
