Presidential elections in the USA don't work the way elections are done elsewhere. Trump doesn't need to win the majority of votes. Heck, he didn't even win the majority of votes against Hillary Clinton. Trump just needs to win the electoral votes from the state he won in 2016. Trump won against Hillary by a huge margin of 77 electoral votes. Kamala may not be as unpopular as Hillary was, but there is no way Kamala can overturn a 77 electoral vote margin in rust-belt states. So, it doesn't even matter if every man, woman and child in California votes for Kamala. It may increase her vote counts but will not affect the number of electoral votes.
