hello everyone. lamborghini toy car
the lamboghini aventador it is a 1/24 scale display. the neighbor used garden decoration. after many months the lamboghini had rusted and faded paint. so we tried to restore it. again

Why do you play with dried mud? Easier to just put the whole thing in water and soap and let it soak the dirt away before taking it apart, no? Why paint the clear plastic instead of polishing out those pieces? The windshields should be transparent, not opaque. The result is ugly.
Sorry Brother, This colour doesn't suit in this Lamborghini. And the other details like seat colour, windshields etc. are also very poor looking.

I love that custom adobe upholstery. The 2 tone colors of mud brown and lambo yellow compliment each other really nice :)

Попробуйте в следующий раз заменить стёкла на линзы от деловых очков - они легко поддаются резке и легко принимают принимают форму при нагреве, понимаю, что красить болтнчиком это та ещё рулетка, но было бы очень хорошо немного отпалировать модельку, тем более, у вас есть гравюр. А так плюс!
By no mean, I want to demean the effort but some things are worth mention here:
1. These toys have extremely small parts with amazing details. Instead of spray painting the plastic parts you could have used rinsing in water and then varnishing to retain some of the elaborate details. Spray painting the whole and then trying to repaint with brushes took away its sheen and elaborate details.
2. The metal parts are very thin making it hard to sand by hand. Sand blasting works wonder for these. Also, sanding by hand makes the thin metal plates susceptible to dents.
3. For the same reason, its better to use a good primer and then gently wet sand rather than using a metal filler and dry sand.
4. These toys look better in powder spray and baking rather than emulsion/oil based sprays.
5. Making the display glasses opaque was an absolute no-no, those plastic films are easily available. You could have easily made a replacement rather than sticking with the original.

This thing actually looks worse than when you started.
The amount of effort required to do this restoration is intolerable in the first place. He did an outstanding job and believe me, he made it look easy but in reality, its very difficult to do a restoration like this, especially since how dirty the car was.

You should have put a glossy clear coat on it. I think that some of the edges could have been sanded a little better. Tape can be used to give you better lines as well instead of trying to free hand them.

First you put in mud for decay then restore
Next time prime then after you use your main coat of paint put a gloss coat on it
