Whoever cleaned the frame obviously did alot of work because I know what it takes. That said, before taking the welder to the new steel, you should have grinded down the surrounding metal to bare steel, I think that's part of the reason the welder spark isn't consistent. And before I'd ever start welding, I'd cut out the old rust, put a garden hose to my shop vac, and clean the inside of the frame. I guarantee there's 30 pounds of rust setting inside those frame rails and it sets there collecting moisture. I'm not trying to criticize, but for those of you reading this, take my advice. And for the love of everything, don't spray rubberized undercoating, or bedliner on the frame when your done, it absolutely traps moisture and makes the frame 10x worse a couple years down the road.
Those holes in the new side plates are cut out to weld to the original chassis which you did not weld also you did not weld the top of the plate under the cab .
Keep in mind that without the plastic of the welding helmet to protect your face using those glasses will give you a heck of a sunburn if you do much welding.
As a retired mechanic and welder I'd not place much faith in those welds. I don't want to knock anyone doing their best to do a good job. But there are times when a proper professional job is the only way to go. Given the potential safety implications if this all falls apart I think plating over rust is one of the worst ways to do a repair. Until the rust is cut out how does anyone know if the area below id structurally sound? I think if the old chassis were fully gound back you'd find its rotten beyond safe repair- IMHO
Bonsoir mais vous avez fais un boulot de merde vous ne découpez meme pas les parties pourries vous n'ajustez meme pas les parties métallique au chassis ,donc vous enfermez a nouveau la rouille dans le chassis ,aucune protection a l'intérieur du chassis ou de la cire corp creux a l'intérieur du chassis , les soudures sont mauvaises les cordons de soudures commence mal et finissent mal un boulot de merde aucune protection sur le chassis au moins un apprêt époxy sulfaté, vous passez de l'anti gravillon noir mais cela ne sert a rien tout est bon a refaire .

Awesome video, I've got a rusted old 4 wheeler and this video helps me finally get it road worthy and finally sell it which was my initial plan
No use welding it all up to leave the rust behind it .cut the rust out man .
