And Another Great Video! I´m a big Toytoa Fan und Driver but it´s so nice to see the Land Rovers. They do there Job very Well! Very nice Cars and the Drivers did a very good Job! Greethings from Germany...
Lovely video, thanks for posting. I'm proud owner of a Td5 m.y.'03 exactly as Ghost in the video and frankly speaking it makes me very satisfied to see how it crawls smoothly and effectively on the toughest terrains. I love the D3-D4 too, but the D2 is still amazing and , in many occasions, fits better ;))
Funny to see expert comments from people so confident in their ability to diagnose reasons for getting stuck etc from a TH-cam video without actually being there. "Tyres underinflated" "Tyres overinflated" "Shoulda bought a Land Cruiser" etc.
Yeah - we get a lot of that Neil. Anyone who has done enough 4 wheeling knows that even a slight change of line or the second/third vehicle through the same section can be completely different and there are an enormous number of variables to each section you traverse.
Can the owner of that awesome Disco 4 do a video on all the upgrades? I'd love to see details on those; it's great to see these luxury vehicles can still be upgraded to this standard.
I know this trail well. As a Licensed 4WD tour operator with NSW State Forests and NPWS, I regularly took international visitors from the Hunter Wineries back to Sydney using this route in my 02 Range Rover L322 HSE TD6 but I'm surprised at the track's deterioation since the late 2000s. (Probably because 'Dickhead Central' has been up from Sydney in their Toyota Land Bruisers...) As always, nice camera work from the Misadventure Team. (and that's coming from a guy who's television production career was spent making TV commercials for Toyota!)
Thanks for the kind words Craig. I think Toyota has dropped the ball in recent years in terms of their photography and video work. They set the bar so high for so long, I can't believe they have fallen so far.
Yep, same as Mr Apple morphed from a provider of high end video editing equipment into a 'Phone Salesman'. BTW, that Harris Fire Trail actually crosses Private Property at one point and NPWS insisted I get permission from the land owner prior to obtaining their Commercial 4WD License so don't be surprised if one day, you find locked gates up there! Not likely, given the remoteness but when Sydney people buy the property, anything could happen...
I really enjoy watching the video of the Landy's in their natural environment. I was wondering what are the steel wheels on the LR4? I have a NAS LR4 with 20" wheels and would love to have a viable steel wheel option for my weekend adventures.
To be hones I am blown away by the range rover sports performance. Do you maybe know the mods it's running, I would love to take mine offroad but don't know which "guard plates" to get and the nearly fully integrated winch would also be amazing, but most of the stuff I can find is for discos ...
You do have to do some hunting around and lots more available in Europe and UK than in Oz for mods. Was mostly standard except for snorkel, front winch, underbody bash plate, dual battery set-up, offroad tow hitch, Llams height adjustment system and the mud tyres.
boaz63 Ttied it in a few diff modes including Mud ruts and rock crawl. It's actually an ongoing issue I've been having with TC for some time. Looks like the transfer case is slipping and needs to be replaced.
Long time no see. Nice new wheels on Clancy too. Are they the same as BB's? What brand are they? I think remember talk of a subscription service to make it easier to fund more Misadventures. What's happening there?
Hey Beny, We can actually make it a subscription service now we've hit the 10,000 subs mark on youtube but th agreement is pretty horrendous. I've been looking into a number of other platforms that will enable the same kind of service but they are either ridiculously expensive for the bandwidth we ned for HD or don't have a very user friendly library that enables users to go back and watch movies they have subscribed to at any time. Still working on it.
Mud, Glorious Mud! Yeah just a wheel base thing on that climb Jimmy, pity about the damage though. Was that the boghole that Clancy got the wet interior?
trac control still not performing properly in rock crawl mode marc. It was in rc mode in the section we had to winch up and you can see the TC clearly not working properly
+MrDefence78 It's something we are going to do this year for each of the cars that regularly travel with us mate. You can find a complete review of Monty the Defender on 4WD Action's website from a video they filmed in late 2013. We've recently purchased a replacement Monty (she was written off nan affording incident) and have almost finished on the various upgrades to have her ready for the video series ;)
surprised how the disco4 make it so easy and yet the rangie seems struggling on most of the challenges... is it a wheelbase thing? if so that woudnt apply to the Disco 2... Or did the rangie have some problems...
+Moses Bagumira Bwengye The Disco is simply a better Off road option compared to the Rangie. The Rangie is a great vehicle but compromised for more hard core stuff. I consider the Rangie more a highly capable soft roader, the Disco more capable again and then all hail the mighty Defender which this environment is it natural one. The Disco and the Rangie have a brilliant electronic traction control system which is all good when its working, which it often does not which is a pity. Thats why I went old school Landcruiser which despite my love for Defenders is overall a better Vehicle.
We are working on it. Just finished getting two kids through HSC years and have limited our big trips over the last few years but madly planning the next one
Misadventure 4WD it's also hard for us to get out because dad has to work a lot and we don't often get much time when we go for a weekend. And go the land rovers
The D4 has terrain response making the traction control better than the D2. D2 has solid axles though. I would say the D4 is better. They are also typically more reliable. If I'm choosing and everyday driver that I take off road, D4 any day of the week. With the 5L V8 they simply destroy the D2. However if I'm looking for a second vehicle to have fun in the trails, a D2 is the way to go, because I woun't mind it getting banged up, its easier to fit bigger tires, lift etc.
For over landing D3 or 4 is an obvious choice.. For getting down in the mud and such I want my D2.. so many mods readily available and in the US body parts are easy to come by at a reasonable cost
Great video but you Guys must have money. Range Rover too soft for this stuff! I would never have taken one to this stuff. Too much plastic & not enough lift = expensive complex repairs.
And Another Great Video!
I´m a big Toytoa Fan und Driver but it´s so nice to see the Land Rovers. They do there Job very Well!
Very nice Cars and the Drivers did a very good Job!
Greethings from Germany...
That bullbar on the Disco 4 is the best looking one ive seen beautiful Disco 2 and 4 congrats
o
I love to see big money vehicles in the mud. Big boy toys! great video thanks
That was awesome. Greets from America.
Disco4-Clancy just drives and then goes "guys what happened back there". Loved it.
Beautiful Videos! Thank you guys! Love to see even a RR Sport in her home invironment... :) Black Betty superb!!
Discovery is the best 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

To much!!!! Wonderful!! than you one more time for share this perfect job.
It's a shame BB, the D3 it's fantastic!
Well done...
Top vid guys. Sorry to see the panel damage. And I have to agree that Drover sounded great.
Funny to see expert comments from people so confident in their ability to diagnose reasons for getting stuck etc from a TH-cam video without actually being there. "Tyres underinflated" "Tyres overinflated" "Shoulda bought a Land Cruiser" etc.

Sounds like a plan - I'm ken to do a review of all of the vehicles and their set-ups. Stay Tuned
The reality is, that it looks much easier in a video as it is in real life in my opinion :D
RichieFromBoston
It depends on whether you want to rove the land or you want to cruise the land 🤷♂️
Brilliant vids guys thanks from England
I love youre videos, thanx. Greetings from germany
Love the Range Rover Sport and Disco 4`s turbo whistle :D
Great video
Awesome stuff guys.
Bravo les gars.
Very nice video once again. Shame about the damage to BB but it's nice to see a Sport that's not a 'Mall Roamer'!
I like D4 very much
Clancy is awesome!!
Good work guys! This is what they're made for!
Discovery rules!

I've got a RRS and building a nice collection of broken plastic bits that I've knocked/ripped off. Sorry to see the panel damage though ... ouch!!
great video!
Hi guys, great video ! But where is Landy ????????
I really enjoy watching the video of the Landy's in their natural environment.
I was wondering what are the steel wheels on the LR4? I have a NAS LR4 with 20" wheels and would love to have a viable steel wheel option for my weekend adventures.
Probably Tuffant rims.
To be hones I am blown away by the range rover sports performance. Do you maybe know the mods it's running, I would love to take mine offroad but don't know which "guard plates" to get and the nearly fully integrated winch would also be amazing, but most of the stuff I can find is for discos ...

And the Coiler D2 walks it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What wheel/tire are you running on the Disco 4?
Thanks!!!!
well done Disco
What terrain response mode was Black Betty in when he got stuck on the climb? Mud & Ruts? Awesome video! Thanks for posting!
boaz63 Ttied it in a few diff modes including Mud ruts and rock crawl. It's actually an ongoing issue I've been having with TC for some time. Looks like the transfer case is slipping and needs to be replaced.

Misadventure 4WD woow nice tyres and wheels on that Discovery 4, what brand/model are they? I need them :)
You can definitely tell that the traction control isn't working on BB
DII are the best!!!!
Mud, Glorious Mud!
Yeah just a wheel base thing on that climb Jimmy, pity about the damage though.
Was that the boghole that Clancy got the wet interior?
Yes Rich - Clancy had a splash on the low side inside the cabin
Hi guys.. Seems ETC not working on Black Betty !?
Another great off road video.
Looks like transfer case was slipping screwing everything else up marc. In for a new transfer now.
Hi. And , if you use 'rock crawl' , same issue ? Hope you can save Black Betty guys. Cheers.
trac control still not performing properly in rock crawl mode marc. It was in rc mode in the section we had to winch up and you can see the TC clearly not working properly
Yep, but, normally the setting for RC is the centre diff is lock nope ?
So , maybe is wheels speed sensors ?
Nice vid!!
Can't you guys do som vids of your cars and what you done with them to suit as a overlander ?!
+MrDefence78 It's something we are going to do this year for each of the cars that regularly travel with us mate. +Misadventure 4WD
Now i have something to look forward to, sounds great! Keep up the good work you guys do! One life, live it !!
it's a shame , I think money maker could have dominated the rock racing , but I do know where he is coming from , good luck Tim !
Who knows what wheels are those on sec :42...?
surprised how the disco4 make it so easy and yet the rangie seems struggling on most of the challenges... is it a wheelbase thing? if so that woudnt apply to the Disco 2... Or did the rangie have some problems...
The Sport had problems with the transfer case, and the traction control wasn't working properly.

Is Clancy on air bags or springs?
Why would you need to go that far off-trail for motorbikes lol
Can you guys make more awesome videos please
We are working on it. Just finished getting two kids through HSC years and have limited our big trips over the last few years but madly planning the next one
Misadventure 4WD it's also hard for us to get out because dad has to work a lot and we don't often get much time when we go for a weekend. And go the land rovers
👍👏👏
How can you pick modern Land Rover for Adventures in the Nowhere? These things have more problems and defects then any other modern SUV...
I know why the RR didnt get up at 6:10... no bull-bar.
Is land cruiser better or this
I'd say no but we are very biased ;)
Which do you think works better d2 or the d3-4 ?
The D4 has terrain response making the traction control better than the D2. D2 has solid axles though. I would say the D4 is better. They are also typically more reliable. If I'm choosing and everyday driver that I take off road, D4 any day of the week. With the 5L V8 they simply destroy the D2. great video, shame about BB's run in with a tree though :(
which part of australia is this?
This is the beautiful Hunter Valley in NSW. This trail at Congewai borders the Watagan National Park/State Forest.
What are the tire specs on the disco 4?
they are 17inch 265/70's from memory mate
What kind of tires do you have on them?
+Michał Trejgis The D2 is running Maxis Big Horns, the D4 is running Cooper ST Maxx and the Defender was running BFG KM2's.
Thanks :)
Which are best ? :)
+Michał Trejgis Clancy - Cooper STT; Black Betty - BFG KM2 and Ghost - Maxxis 764 Bighorn
5:00 bauuu!
Range Rover Sport took the L in that
Check wheel speed sensors ;)
do you guys have many problems with the water and the landy's? Everyone i know thats had one has had nothing but problems with them..
I think the landrover sport lacks traction
+Musa Ragwar Spot on mate - traction control has been playing up for moths - intermittent fault that no-one seems to be able to solve
Disco
Great video but you Guys must have money. Range Rover too soft for this stuff! I would never have taken one to this stuff. Too much plastic & not enough lift = expensive complex repairs.
RR Sport looks WAAY Outta its depth and Totally outta place !!
We had an issue with the traction control not working properly so was definitely issues with capabilities in those conditions.
@@Misadventure4WD Ahh so thats what the issue was! D3-4 and RRS practically the same off-road package couldn't figure why RRS didn't want to crawl it.
1:12 get a toyota
awesome video
