Tony is one of the few dudes actively supporting ADs and putting a good word in for them when everyone else is having a bad experience. Sadly, haters will always hate, and too many people have no sense of humor. What a sad way to go through life. A key to a happy life is to avoid all toxic people. It is in Rolex's best interest to sell more precious metal and diamond pieces as their profit margin is far higher on them. Love the Wimbledon - the 36 mm oyster case seriously rocks!

Love your channel! I have a question about COSC certification: is certification done on a few samples and then the manufacturer is trusted to make them all that good? Or does every individual movement have tested and certified before it can go into a watch that is marketed as COSC certified?

Q&Q: hey Tony, love your videos and sorry again for all the hate on the unboxing video. My question is, I’ve been working with a rep at a local A&D trying to score my grail, the Batgirl, with this rep. I winded up scoring an OP when low and behold, the rep is no longer working at this AD. I went down to introduce myself to another sales rep at the same AD, since I have some purchase history here, and just haven’t connected on a personal level with the new rep. Any thoughts on where to go from here? Should I continue to follow up or start fresh with a new AD? If I do start fresh, am I now beholden to purchase other models that I have no interest in to build a relationship and buying history? This sucks! Thanks, hope you’re feeling better.

Display only pieces are either theoretically available or already allocated to a client, but as they are required to keep the defined number of pieces on display, even those unallocated watches may need to stay in store until new unallocated inventory arrives.
Someone didn’t believe you had the Wimbledon? They were jealous, clearly. - In 2022 at least I did see the watches at the Rolex AD all ticking. I remember the days when they had empty cabinets. They did then get deliveries from Rolex to fill them - together with the eternal “exhibition only” signs. Now we’re seeing gold models becoming available over here, but that’s about it. The flip side is, people with a bad negative attitude will not/never get nor will they understand why an AD wont sell them a watch. I don't believe that Rolex will want to release all their stainless steel watches for the year at once. If Rolex released them all in the spring than no one would talk Rolex for the rest of the year. Anytime you put yourself out there with an opinion you’re going to get some hate. I worked as a Police Officer for 32 years and always treated people the way I wanted to be treated. No matter how well you treat someone, occasionally, they would call or write and complain about how or what you said. Thank God for recorders. If it’s because of the exhibition tag, you know as well as I do 99% of Rolexes sold are exhibition first. When I got my root beer a few months ago, it was the same watch the AD showed me in November on exhibition. I know that because she told me! It’s no secret they show the watch for a couple months then sell it.

Question: What Rolex are you eyeing next?
My 2 cents: The year is not over folks. I don't believe that Rolex will want to release all their stainless steel watches for the year at once. If Rolex released them all in the spring than no one would talk Rolex for the rest of the year. We'll be getting some new releases in the fall too! Cheers!

Anytime you put yourself out there with an opinion you’re going to get some hate. I worked as a Police Officer for 32 years and always treated people the way I wanted to be treated. No matter how well you treat someone, occasionally, they would call or write and complain about how or what you said. Thank God for recorders.
As with any profession, there were a few Police Officers that didn’t have the same view I did. I can’t imagine getting on TH-cam and doing what you’re doing, but I commend you for it.

@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Welcome! Why did you need to take the video down of the unboxing of your Wimbledon? If it’s because of the exhibition tag, you know as well as I do 99% of Rolexes sold are exhibition first. When I got my root beer a few months ago, it was the same watch the AD showed me in November on exhibition. I know that because she told me! It’s no secret they show the watch for a couple months then sell it.
