While you are training? While you do the series and feel the muscle working, do you also turn on the EMS? Could it also be used after training as well as during training?
Matt, the device is used as a complementary device generally and not as a stand alone muscle stimulator. Movement using weights etc. involves firing small muscle nerves first and as resistance increases then the larger diameter motor fibers. Estim works exact opposite firing large first and going to smaller last. Process shortens time spent in training as more fibers firing.
No, they work. I had one after knee surgery, when my leg was still paralyzed, in order to start developing my quads again. It does exactly what it says it does.
Actually, you can use them for the chest. There are online diagrams showing proper pad placement. This was not made to replace the workout. It is used to supplement. It was originally made to assist physical therapy after injury. A larger version is still used by hospital physical therapists.
The reason for no CHEST or PECKS diagram is because it's too close to your heart... Same reason you won't see anything for the face, too close to your brain.
+Jo-G ghost no go. Bruce died of a unknown cause, autopsy sucked at that time. there was a small 2m round hole found at his temple on one side. but yes they affect your heat I have a miss now due to using one on my chest. I was recommended to use it there and everywhere by physiotherapist.
@romanmica Just so you know, the reason the book doesn't mention putting the electrodes on the chest would be the fact that your heart is inches away. People have had heart complications bc it's like a low power defibrillator. ;)

It helps to build muscle and keep your stamina up when training. It does NOT help you lose weight/calories. Excess weight is burned when all or most muscles are working at the same time, like when you run (or any cardio for that matter).
Yeah don't fucking use it while driving. I was thinking maybe the abs but honestly this thing can cause such powerful contractions that especially if u aren't ready for them could absolutely cause an accident
yes I found the hard way why pecs are not on there, it affected my electricity to my heart permanently, now I have misses that I feel. iv only recently started using it again as I have MS and need to work my tummy hopping it helps. watched you video as I can't remember where they go to burn fat.
This takes out the fun of going the gym, also not to mention the cost. A gym membership is also alot cheaper, If you want to build muscle do it the good old fashioned way with elbow grease, alot of effort and sweat, at least then you can honestly say you put the effort in to get your results.
For the electrodes, do I have to use Compex's easy snap electrodes? Or could I buy another type of easy snap electrode... Compex's electrode prices are way too expensive for this unit to be affordable
AMAZING I got to get me one because I use to workout alot last year and I want to recover. *I want to ask* 1. Can a 16 year old or like teens use this device ? 2. Is it 99% safe ? Does it use batterys ? 3. How much will it cost me in Rands ?
the reason there is not one for the pecks is cause its shooting eletric into the muscle over the heart witch could damage your heart if the eletric gets close to your heart
is it normal for the biceps to go nuts like that when you put it on? i shut mine off because i thought i might cause damage with how fast the contractions were
False! NEMS (Neuromuscular Electrical Stim) is completely different the TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation). TENS targets sensory receptors to relieve pain. NEMS has been used for years as a tool for muscle reeduation and increasing strength. Know your FACTS before telling people this is dangerous. Completely safe when used correctly.
TENS and NMES actually work on different frequencies and durations to affect different things, at least in actual medical equipment. TENS has been more widely been developed for pain management, versus NMES which is used for muscle retraining like after an injury or surgery caused atrophy. Theoretically, either could be used for such, but understanding the difference can certainly help in making educated choices. Talk to your GP or a physical therapist about usage before getting too accustom because I've seen reports of muscles suffering more because of overuse.
Hello there, have you tried "Belly Fat TorchMax" (just search on Google for it ...)? On their website you can watch a useful free video. This made it easier for Ashley to get rid of her stomach fat. I hope it works for you as well.
all you are doing when using electro stimulation, is you are numbing the nerves or frying them. also you are reducing the sensation in touch and feeling.
That`s the eays way if you know exactly which part of your muscles you want to serve. Much more effective is the real full-body EMS. Check out the information on our Website and look for a studio close to your destination. Look at bodyforming.es
first off i sed tens was bad not mems and secent you are rong even in you reply if you would learn how a nems and tens unit work it uses electricity in the form of dc thare is only one kind of dc voltage no mater what wavelength it is its still voltage and your body reacts the same.
its varry unsafe to use one this way what this device is is a tens unit used to help with musle pain and its unsafe to use in the maner used in this video whare you crank it all the way up
I can't believe this channel advocates Ems devices. I mean I can believe the part about recovery but making people think that you can build muscles this way is bullshit. All your other videos are so respectable, I'm disappointed.
TheWolle843 What you need to understand is muscle is built on stimulus, consuming protein starts the protein synthesis process. Stimulating the muscle through exercise or a device like this, your body doesn't know the difference so it reacts on the stimuli. Now I'm not trying to say it will make you look like Arnold but it can definitely be used to help in 2 ways from the research I've seen. 1. training your CNS to fire more muscle fibers, because the ems bypasses CNS it is able to fire more fast twitch fibers and can begin to train the muscle to fire hard for sports, weightlifting etc. The carryover from this obviously is improved strength/heavier weighs or ability to push harder obviously improves strength, size etc. (Apparently 15 sessions gains you maximum benefit at a time, so twice a year for this purpose is probably all you need) 2. the direct stimulation of muscle promotes growth The recovery benefits are obvious but the other main reason to to promote the firing of more muscle fibers especially for the non elite athlete (The more elite you are the more efficient you are at firing more muscle fibers) Works much in the way powerlifters can improve their squat by jumping as this exerts explosiveness in the muscle, much like this ems is able to do.
chrisrailton Okay I can't argue with you on a scientific level, I don't have the expertise. I'm basing my opinion on people I trust and who have years of experience in strength training, like scooby1961. If you could show me someone who built muscle just by using these devices, I would reconsider. But even what you say, sounds like this should be used in addition to regular strength training. The problem I have with these devices, is that they are always advertised as a way for amateurs who can't / don't want to work out to achieve their dream body, and make money out of that. And I mean come on, spending 400$+ just for a warmup and recovery like the guy in the video is doing, thats ludicrous. Just becasue it's expensive doesn't mean it's good.
TheWolle843 No i completely agree with you, anyone claiming to use this as a substitute for training is an idiot. I like scooby but he is complete opinion based. For recovery this device would be fantastic for and athlete who pays for regular massages etc it would take that need out. For strength and size it helps solely to give you the ability when combined with a training program to be able to increase cns efficiency when firing muscle fibers which in turn will produce some added strength and the spill over from that is some size (research that i found showed that was only effective for strength over 15 sessions) results after that were minute which makes sense, its just a tool you can employ to hopefully train muscle to fire fully (example a professional weightlifter is far more efficient at contracting more muscle fibers than the average gym goer, it would give the gym goers muscle the ability to start to learn how to activate more fiber but you would need to be training as well or the muscles would know where or how to apply this. That is what i understand from the research, but from what i know about muscle in general it reacts to many different stimuli and changes, i mean you walking everyday will cause some muscle changes/growth/strength/stimulous but are you legs like arnold (i don't know maybe they are but you get the point). The point i originally put forward about the jumping, will that necessarily make you bigger? no, will it improve your squat? yes. It will promote muscle adaptations and for recovery it would be fantastic as a substitute from exercise and weight training....not at all. But this video was a good explanation of for someone who trains alot its great for recovery etc. i personally have been think about one for recovery as it could really help me. If i do ill be sure to let you know if there was any strength or size benefits but that definitely not a purpose for me.
TLDR version.. No, wont build muscle alone. Yes, can substitute low-moderate weight high rep workouts that encourage the body to increase glycogen storage leading to increased endurance. The typical misrepresentation stems from being able to do more reps on moderate - heavy weights which clearly isn't a strength gain but endurance gain.
Gary Gadjets no Bruce Lee died when he was attempting to break a block of ice with his fist, so please do some research first sir, no offense of course. anyway he pop a blood vessel in his arm, when he but the ice.
I have one and been using it for a month now..on my upper body..while working out..huge difference!!! It works when used properly
While you are training? While you do the series and feel the muscle working, do you also turn on the EMS? Could it also be used after training as well as during training?

Thank you for your review, just could not get a proper review from other products. This is the best. As I have a Rio professional gym body toner.

This was not made to replace the workout. It is used to supplement.

Thanks for the knowledge. I just used it on my chest but I will no longer.
The reason for no CHEST or PECKS diagram is because it's too close to your heart... Same reason you won't see anything for the face, too close to your brain.
That's how Bruce Lee died he put the mucle stimulater over his heart and it gave him a heart attack

@@jo-gghost292 He had a brain stroke because of overworked and exhaustion to the brain. It was a very rare version of a brain aneurysm.
It works on upper chest just safer at low levels, any general accupressure point an EMS device will work fine on.

Great review!

Dude used it on his biceps when operating a vehicle... involuntary contractions at highway speeds sounds like a terrible idea.
you dont drive with your knees already?
Yeah don't fucking use it while driving. I was thinking maybe the abs but honestly this thing can cause such powerful contractions that especially if u aren't ready for them could absolutely cause an accident
Provide more feedback on what it did for you. You only mentioned the shoulder warmup for swimming. How about recovery results or strength building?
Thanks 😃

Looks Great !
Is there any info on EMS helping to recover atrophied muscle?
Is it ok if I don’t have the back cover to the battery pack? For any of the electrodes?
Im using for stomach Feels like an organ is being pulled. Will these effect other tissue under the muscle?
Did he say he used it while driving?
That sounds so unsafe!!!!
It can be, if the pads shift they can cause your muscles to involuntary twitch which can be dangerous.
He said he used it in the car, he didn’t say he was driving
Where did you get it at
Thanks so much for the video. For someone who doesn't have $479 to spend, but still want to use an EMS, do you have any recommendations?
3WingProductions use a tensunit they r cheap on amazon
Bruce lee used one not this one check out the movie dragon the story of Bruce lee

2. Is it 99% safe ? Does it use batterys ?
3. How much will it cost me in Rands ?
How do i target the transverse abdominis
Is that on a paralyzed man it's strict in all its muscles and he started to walk again
Relax deep muscle or not ? And how much is it
Yes.
Does this burn calories?
they actually make a different type of ems for that

Britney Melgar nobody especially stroke victims should wver use on face or on front of neck.
I've used this to increase my bustline 3 inches.
Does it help enlarge the bust?
what about your upper back?
