Jenna will be ever so grateful she loves that bus, and Mike, lets just say he puts up with it, and he will be blaming Aaron. thanks for fixing that for Janna and Mike, and remember the size of gloves as Aaron will steal them.
I find it very interesting how your business has expanded to so many TH-camrs. It is actually a smart move. You get the income from TH-cam and the income from the customer plus advertising. 💯
Great video, overview was great. Then the person who actually did the disassembly / reassembly did a great job of running commentary. His running commentary was so professional I almost wonder if he doesn't talk himself through the process each time even when the camera is off. 😀 Nicely done, working and explaining at the same time is much harder than it looks.
0:40..." Just Kiddin'..."!!!....😂😂😂.... 3:45...T44E .If ya drop the 'E' it becomes a Robinson helicopter T44 ( 4 passenger ) Love the show !!...always interesting , funny and informative !!!
Hey Curt, what's that Bowie knife you've been using to open boxes. . . and using as a pointer? Enquiring minds want to know. That thing is glorious. 😃 • Yeah, Mike @ DP is a notorious lead foot, so it's entirely possible he WAS hot-rodding the engine of that skoolie when the turbocharger gave out. 😉 • Welcome to the video, Eli. Great to see you again. 👍 • Mmmmm, the oven. For cakes and parts, but not the same bake times. • That post-bake "Like & Subscribe" sign still brings a smile to my face. 🥲 • Well done, Eli. That seemed to go together smoothly. A testament to your expertise. Thanks for taking us along. • Heh, Curt. By chance, I just paused the video as you said "cata", and I know where "cata" leads. . ."catastrophic" or "catastrophically". . . and yup. "catastrophic shaft breakage". • That's one heck of a belt on that 7.3l Powerstroke engine. That thing must be like 5 feet (1.54m) long. • It's good to see that y'all were able to rebuild that TP38 turbo. • Mike got off easy with a $1038 bill for this repair. Once again, ADS comes through with a like-new repair of a severely-damaged system for a customer. Expertiae and parts accessibility. THAT'S why y'all are the best!
I am stunned with your prices. They are incredibly low for an item that has to be critically machined due to the rotating bits spinning at such high speeds. I wish I could have plumbed one into the aircraft I flew. (Getting an aviation "part" quadruples the prices at a minimum) *Thank you* for the video.
I use my ebpv brake every time I tow. It works great on my 6 speed. I ordered a spare ebpv pigtail and made up a plug and play relay harness that goes to a nice switch on the shifter.
Re the wheels, arent they supposed to me matched for balance when installing? or wasnt it just mentioned you put the marks together? In a hot running item assembly, a friend uses Crisco, It keeps stuff together like a bearing cage and then melts the sec the heat hits it and the oil takes over
We have. It is good stuff. The boys in the back are very particular about their choice of penetrant. They take it is serious about like a person's choice of adult beverage.
This is very impressive. I thought there would be nothing worth rebuilding. I'm sure you get turbos that are not rebuildable, I just didn't expect any rebuilding of this one.
As a former school bus driver, I found this video extremely interesting. One SMALL correction, that is NOT a "Large" school bus. Actually, it's fairly small. It looks like what we would've called a "35 passenger". We had 84 passenger & I *THINK* they made 90 passenger buses.
I heard of them breaking like that , when you shut the engine down with out letting them cool down for 15 20 minutes after working the engine hard , this was comen in bull dozers cause operator did not know to let the cool or cause it was the end of the day and they just wanted to go home , I heard the reason why they break up like that is because the oil supply is interrupted while the turbo is still hot , and the lose of oil on the hot turbo causes it to seize
Oh yes, turbo is still spinning when the oil is interrupted, even my dodge Cummins, spins for like 5 minutes after you shut the engine off sorry I for got the spinny part, lol
Different engine - but same idea. When I was in the army, there was a FACTORY installed notice on the dash to let the truck idle below 1,000 R.P.Ms. for for 5 minutes before shutting down.
Can not think you guys enough amazing company and people!!
I am sure that Mike is relieved that you fixed it! His beloved wife must have had some choice words for Mike when the weekend was ruined!
I cant think you enough ether for all all the great content
Great video,,,your quality of videos and audio has improved 💯 keep up the great work love the collaboration with other TH-camrs
Your teams cleanliness and parts staging for rebuilds are phenomenal. Love the videos.
Not only interesting, but educational. I've learned so much about what makes diesel engines tick on this channel :)

Excellent information on a failure of a turbo

LMAO, I didn't expect POP to go the weasel thing!
I love the way you go about your videos... and the way you do business! Yep... make it great again!👍😁⚡

@@AreaDieselService You have a fantastic crew! Absolutely top notch work ethic!
I love watching your videos, high quality repair, thanks for sharing.
You did not help him you help you help Mrs Dirt Perfect.
We could say there is NO HELPING DP!
G,day from Sydney Australia. Very interesting and informative. I gained some knowledge and insight for dismantling a used turbo.
🌏🇦🇺
Actually, Watch Wes Work sent us, first. DP and Mrs. DP are good folks. So are everyone at ADS. Thanks for sharing!!
Yes, Watching West Work was my first introduction to Area Diesel 34:14
@@paulsilva3346 I first heard about ADS from bcbloc2 years ago. Unfortunately for me, I had just had both pumps on my tractors recently built.
Also, rebuilding a 7.3 turbo and not ditching that 9 blade compressor wheel is wild to me. 😂
Very sharp and on point , to show all the components ,LOL
History channel love it
Yes it's In line with servicing ,3 months or 10,000 comments whichever comes first !
Curtis always kills with dry humor. Learn and laugh!!
Another great video guys ;) Cheers Ray (UK)
Now that's a knife!

Anyone else notice on DPs lake build the AREA DEISEL hat that he was rocking in support of this channel? Love to get me one.
Here's the link to our "swag shop" -

There is a penatrating fluid called Kroil it is made in Nashville Tenn. Its the only one I have found that works. You guys should give it a try.

Catastrophic manor 😂😂😂 that's hilarious. Love your channel, keep it up 😄

interesting video, thanks
no balancing of the turbo????
Happy birthday! Love the videos
good teaching on how these things go BOOM !!
You employ some very knowledgeable techs and do a great job thanks for all you do DGC
Great veto
I've got 3 stanadyne injector pumps id like to send to Cory maybe he could take them and build me a good pump if possible their from 7.3 turbo idi
If anyone can do it, it is Corey!
I recently learned of centrifugal oil filters which remove even submitting particles. Do you recommend these? Supply them?
Thankyou 😊
Filling station lol sound like your from England or something, it's a gas station
You guys just perfect
I’m going to say (NEW) not to say rebuild but getting close too costly to rebuild.
Annulus? Damn.
Nice jjob

Good video guys
wish i had known about yall when i was a mechanic on trash trucks im retired now but like your work thanks
You guys are magicians. Love how you always get our TH-cam hero’s back rolling. Thanks for the informative videos!
thx fella
If the new turbo was cheaper, why didn't they go that rout?
Without considering the pedestal the new turbo was about $200 more money than the rebuild.

Another "SLAM DUNK" for Area Diesel Service! Perfection is the only thing they sell!
Stumbled on this. You know Mike well. He is very mechanically inclined and a little slow on his videos.
Love watching professional No Nonsense quality work
Great content on how turbos work , glad to see Mrs. DP camper bus back up n running !!!
DP is certainly mechanically minded,1960's NCR at a guess !
nice job on dp s turbo iv just seen another one of your repairs for red poppy ranch 😎✌👍
Excellent! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great job 👏 Mike will be very happy.
Another great build! We should see the refit in around 18 months on Dirt Perfects channel! 🤣🤣🇦🇺🍺🍺
Very lnformantave video thank you
