I've used 96 since I started fusing glass about a decade ago. There are beautiful colours and plenty of wavy designs , like the striped blue you showed that I've used.
I think the reason I have always used 96 is simply cause that is what the leading importer of glass to Israel brings the greatest variety of. It is very smooth and easy to work with. Of course I never mix it with 90 or with float.

Hi Judith. I believe that 96 is also much more available here in Australia as well. I know a number of suppliers that have it, but only 2 that have 90.

My husband got me a set for Christmas, I haven’t even opened it yet

And I haven't used it much either. Life getting in the way again. Sigh!

Not to instruct one on sucking eggs but i find using a finer media as well as tutu-ing with the psi of the blaster is deffs feeling alot less steps than going down the chem route 🤷 i cast gaffer crystal into trinkets for the wealthy but now playing with a lil bit of bullseye/fusing sheet glass together with kiln paper between the sheets, then blowing up the shapes with the compressed air gun😅😂 love ya vids and trying/applying your knowledge to when we casting 😂🙏🙏

I make these old spaceman soft cordial bottles we had in nz in the 70/80s, in my profile pic. Behind them is the bubble wrap I help make for SLW Design 🚀👍

Hi Cal. I hope it's Cal. The main reason I'm looking at chem etch is for the vdetail. I can't get that with sandblasting. Also the easer of it. Yep, have to deal with chemicals, but can't see how to do it with the sandblaster. Any info would be appreciated, as I'm sure all here would. Would love to see a photo of the trinkets and crystals. Not sure I understand about the blowing up the shapes??

The old spacemen look. Bit hard to see. Any photos? Send me via my website if convenient. You make bubble wrap?

You’re going to love 96, it cuts so much easier and normally only textured on one side. Enjoy.

Hi Deb. Doubt I will be changing. Too much 90 and all set up. Plus I'm too old to change. 😁 This is only a test.

@@RocketRoseArt I totally understand that’s why I don’t change over to 90 for certain colors. Too old to make that change. Enjoy your test and I’m anxious to hear how you like it and how your project test came out.
