The £10 mystery box changes weekly. I’ve gone a bit crazy with them and have bought a few since it was introduced, they’ve included a 1/72 Mosquito (£24.99) and a 1/48 Vampire (£34.99).
I hear that they rotate the mystery box kit every few weeks but in that period everyone gets the same, supposedly it was a Mosquito until recently. Not sure I would have wanted the Swordfish due to all the rigging, but getting a mystery kit for almost half its RRP is pretty decent
A really nice kit. I have had had four kits since I came across the £10.00 deal. Two 1:72 Spitfire MkVb gift sets, The 1:72 Swordfish and the 1:48 De Havilland Vampire F3. I know it is pot luck what you get in the box but the Swordfish and the Vampire are real bargains for a Tenner each plus postage.😊
@@francis0001 it was the coin that came with the recently released spitfire Mkviii in 1/24 scale. I think I have a little review of the kit on there somewhere. 👍
Watched your vid great by the way and thought l will get a £10 bundle. Bundle arrived opened to find a bf109g value £12 l had paid best part of £14 for to say l felt robbed is a understatement
@@MarkBellamy-u9i yes, a lot of people have commented about the latest batch being the 109, Airfix have commented on my TikTok account saying they are changed every month so hopefully it might be a better ‘pick’ next month.
I bought my first one and was totally dissapointed , I just got two me109e kits also paid the £3.95 posting , so basically I lost money , won’t do that again
I believe Airfix change them every month, last month most people got Swordfish but now it seems to be Bf109s. I think I will try to gauge what’s getting released before I order again.
Don't buy the release dated 10th October. IT'S A SCAM!!!! They are playing on the fact they have packaged high value kits in previously offering but now it's only a £12 kit! If you only buy the mystery box and pay the £3.95 shipping you're losing money unlike all the other offerings.
@@akula9713 possibly but if you like a surprise it seems value for money. However you may get a model you don’t like but for £10 I thought it was an interesting prospect.
Sometimes the pricing from Airfix is a bit baffling, the rerelease of the 1968 kit of the Hampton for £22, I’m not so sure that’s right. However I think their 1/24 scale mkviii spit is a bargain.
@@creativetimewasting i find their kits a bit of a hit and miss. Had a few issues with them,,,, badly warped wings and misalined parts,, short shots. So i tend not to buy them anymore mainly do tamiya and eduard 😄🏴
@@DavidJones-wr3sb I understand what you are saying and sticking with what you like is not a bad decision. I have found the newer tooled kits from Airfix to be very good, not quite Tamiya but I’m happy with them. I’m building their 1/24 MkVIII Spitfire and loving it. Good luck with your models 👍

I got the 1/72 Sea Harrier FRS1 as my £10 Mystery kit and I'm more than happy with it
I got the same, was well pleased 👍

Same here, decided to place an order based on what others had received. Disappointed as I received a £12 ME109 kit. Not really much of a bargain.
I was the same, really dissapointed, I could buy it from my local shop for £7.99.
I was well pleased with my 1/48 Vampire (£34.99) might wait and get another one

@jimsmodelmaking308 l got that me109.Put a bad review on the airfix page it was removed almost straight away guess they don't like bad reviews
£24.99 is the price of this kit from Hannants - an awful lot for a 1/72 two seater biplane is my first thought.
It's a hell of a kit though, detail and quality is amazing.

I do have one in the ‘to do’ pile to display along side my Takom 1/72 scale Bismarck turret. I will do a video of that soon 👍
How about if it was a three seater though 🤩
They must be getting rid of excess stock?

I've had some problems too, but I've heard they've switched back to UK production which must help with quality control.
