@@krishnakantaacharjya5558 If you feel that update is really needed, you can download it and update manually. Keeping an inverter for pc is compulsory because it should not be turned off while updating abruptly with power failure. Though you don't need every bios update sometimes it will increase the speed of pc and graphics too.
A tip for anyone trying to do this : make sure to look up recovery methods for your specific motherboard before flashing, in case you do end up with a bricked system. Not all, but many motherboards either have a backup ROM of the original factory BIOS (this is also known as the DualBIOS) or allow you to retry the flashing from a USB drive using a recovery utility or some other method. Even if you have DualBIOS, make sure you know how to activate it in case things do go wrong (some boards auto reflash if the checksum is incorrect, others require either pressing a button combination or flicking a switch on the actual motherboard). If all of this fails, you can manually reprogram your BIOS chip or send the motherboard back to the manufacturer.

For anyone that is having problems make sure you are getting the correct bios for the right model of motherboard, I was trying to get it for “A320m-HDV” instead of “A320m-HDV R4.0”
I'll be honest, one thing I've never done to date is updated my bios, simply because 100% every time I've bought a board brand new with the original bios version that specific unit was supplied with, it's always worked pretty well, but never to date have I ever purchased a board with an advertised "updated" bios that has not had a lot of problems. Could just be my luck, but you can see why I'm scared away from updating the bios if the current version I have suits my needs, haha
Thats is the first thing I did on a build after doing the cardboard test on a new motherboard. Where I worked the engineer would revise/modify the new BIOS before being installed in the case. I miss building systems, it was fun work.
Agesa updates are great and beta sometimes is the only way if one know what there doing and needs the performance gains NOW. bios flashback is easy on most modern boards. It's becoming more and more user friendly and easy.
BIOS Flashback is also useful if you brick a computer because of a bad BIOS Flash although it's not 100% it does work the vast majority of the time. Personally I have a UPS so I don't have to worry about a power outage during a BIOS update. Last time I had a problem it was either a 486DX-100 or a 1st gen Pentium back when they still used socketed EPROMs so I was able to just pull the chip and program it in a dedicated EPROM flasher. With the right tools you can reprogram a SMT EPROM in situ but it's not something the average person can do and the tools will cost you as much as a new motherboard so it's generally not cost effective unless you already have the tools. If you are building your own systems you really need to update the BIOS because if you buy this same MB (I have the exact same one but without WiFi} today it's likely going to have the 1005 BIOS on it .... I'm surprised you didn't have USB problems which plagued a lot of X570 motherboards with the older BIOSes
I assume you were playing games for evaluation purposes only. Thanks Brian - I remember those days when you flashed your bios from a booted floppy disk. You sat there with your fingers crossed, looking away with winced eyes, and feeling the anxiety in your chest. And they say "those were the days" !
I have a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master. The bios is up to date. There was an important security update with one of the recent bios updates so that's the last one I did. B550 Aorus Master is such a weird mobo! It has 3 PCI-e gen4 m.2 slots! Direct to processor too. It steals bandwidth from the graphics slot which will revert to 8x (gen 4) when you have more than one m.2 drive plugged in.
Most manufacturers don't list all the fixes in the new bios releases. Just the major ones. If you have issues, then update. I have learned " If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
I literally can't update my BIOS. I don't need to, but if I ever needed to, I won't be able to do so. I bought a prebuilt and the company for some reason renamed the BIOS so that if I use a BIOS flash or any sort of software it will brick it. I have a chance to do it in some way I read, but it's the same, has a chance to brick it. Lame.

Also, another moment when u need to update the BIOS is when a new version of Windows is released, like Windows 11, bcs in this case, manufacturers send bios updates to make ur motherboard be ready for Windows 11 and fully support it. thats what i did when Windows 11 got released too. That should be done to make sure that whenever u want to move on to the next version of Windows, u are fully supported and u wont go into issues. I mean, u still can run into issues if u go to a new version of Windows, bcs yeah, thats the life, but it lowers the chances of this with a bit
There's one more thing to mention. This should also be done whenever u have (need, obligation) to go to a new version of windows, for example when u have to do it due to the fact that the current version of windows will run out of support

Ever since I flashed my BIOS, I can't run a restart, as it won't post. I can shut it down and it starts again perfectly, but if I tell it to restart, it seems to work to the point the screen shuts off but then it just sits there doing nothing until I press and hold the power button to shut it down. Now the problem is I can't flash a new BIOS as once I tell it the file and it verifies the file, it wants to do a restart before starting the flashing process...but it never gets started as it can't do a restart.
A couple months ago I discovered that MSI Center has an option to update your BIOS through MSI Center. I thought it was a good idea because i wouldn't have to deal with doing m-flash so I decided to do it. Well that was a mistake, I almost bricked my motherboard. The only way i was able to get it back was by downloading the bios from MSI's website on my laptop putting it on a thumb drive and using the bios flashback button on the back of my motherboard. If I didn't have a laptop and that bios flashback button i would have been f***ed. Im a bit confused, at first i was only going to upgrade my gpu, and everything i seen online says that you should update bios (6700xt gpu with msi x470 gaming plus). I then ordered a new cpu (ryzen 9 5900x) and its saying that you absolutely have to flash bios for this. So do i only need the bios version for my new cpu? I built my whole pc from scratch 4 years ago with 0 issues and im really not trying to brick my pc woth this upgrade.
does flashing bios require internet connection while its flashing?
How long does the bios flash last cos my screens been black and my fans are all still spinning
My motherboard is pretty old now, there are BIOS updates listed on the manufacturer site, but, they don't recommend them for Pinnacle Ridge processors, which is what I currently have. One day, I do plan to build a newer system and the board I have in mind is the Pro version of yours, so this video will come in handy whenever I get round to all the upgrades. Cheers for sharing.
You're welcome
What program is that window in the top right corner of the screen with all the system info?
Exellent demo sir,thanku
You're welcome
Windows update finds the BIOS update for me :)
Is updating the BIOS useful for a high cpu and memory usage during Windows 11 start up? I updated the intel driver but did not update the BIOS motherboard. So this maybe why my laptop is heating up during Windows 11 Desktop startup.
do i need a new drive? or can i put it with my operation system??
my HP laptop had a bios/firmware update recently but that came through windows updates, can other boards have those kinda updates too? like through optional windows updates
Omg i flashed my bios from 0707 to 2601 😆
I would say an update was needed.
Can I remove the flash drive after the bios update has been completed and I’ve booted into windows?
I have question so my cpu has been getting hot recently but I increased all of my fan speeds. Any fix you think may work
So my pc was working great but i stopped using it for about 3 months and when i finally turned it back it started crashing and going into bios and it was saying my ssd was not detected so i changed the cmos battery and nothing happened i put my ssd on another slot and now it just keeps on crashing and takes me to the log in screen and doesn’t take me to bios no more but it just keeps on crashing
How to repair no detection on laptops desktop HDD with clicking noises..?
Please guide both ways via softwares n chip level hdd fix.
Regards from India.
Good morning, sorry to bother you, but I have seen that you are an electronics specialist and I was wondering if you could give me some solution. I have a Sindoh 3D 3DWOX 3D printer and when I inserted a USB flash drive to update the firmware, there was a power outage. Now only the Sindoh presentation screen is displayed and the image is frozen there. I have disconnected the printer from the power and even removed the internal battery from the motherboard but it remains the same. There is no way it does anything. It has been left frozen. I'm afraid the firmware has become corrupt. I have observed that the motherboard has some jumpers, I don't know if any of them have any use. Can you help me please? Any suggestions to force flashing the firmware? How can I find out which chip on the printer's motherboard is the EEPROM? Thank you very much in advance.
I only update the BIOS IF it's for security
CPU-Zee..?? You Don't sound American.... it's also called CPU-ID, I've been using it for years.
Love your videos, Brian...👍👍
Dear friend could you tell me how to format a flash drive that is write protected? thanks.
Where can i get bias update as my computer is old and HP do not have updates for it any more. I can not boot from the memory stick as my bias is mot giving it to me in f9. As the hard drive was formatted. It is a HP compaq nx7400 laptop. Please.
Hi, does the usb stick need to be formatted to fat32?, can I use ex fat?
Bro i wanna download windows 10 i have nice spec and meet its requirement but while installing windows 10 it says this pc cant run windows 10 , so should i update my bios😅
Well, this was unexpected. My BIOS was 5 updates behind. I updated it in released order. All went well. This morning I was offered to update the PC to Win11 22H2! This PC is NOT Win compatible. I do have Preview release turned on. Thoughts?
How to I update my BIOS when the mobo manufacturer doesn't give a BIOS file? Is there a place that has BIOS files for various mobos?
Is this really the proper way to update?
this could have been a lot shorter but thank you
This helped, thank you
Brian, when I turn on my power strip my PC automatically goes on. Is that a bios related problem?
Ever since I flashed my BIOS, I can't run a restart, as it won't post. I can shut it down and it starts again perfectly, but if I tell it to restart, it seems to work to the point the screen shuts off but then it just sits there doing nothing until I press and hold the power button to shut it down. Now the problem is I can't flash a new BIOS as once I tell it the file and it verifies the file, it wants to do a restart before starting the flashing process...but it never gets started as it can't do a restart.
I tend to update the bios anyway if I ever want to upgrade my CPU won’t run in the any problems my pc not posting due to not updating bios
So guys update your bios exactly like how he is telling you, and if you have an MSI motherboard a DO NOT try to update your bios via MSI Center.
I’m gonna try this as my RTX 3060 gaming laptop with 16gb ram and 144hz monitor has been having issues. It cannot seem to play games like Fortnite with direct 11 graphics even on the lowest setting because it stutters, freezes and in general effects my ability to play the game because I drop about 71 frames and I have tried many things to optimise this
Thanks, beginning to follow your advices and have seen a bunch of you videos as I am trying to learn the basics.
But I still have a few problems and hope you can help. I have an older HP Compaq 6000 Pro Small Form Factor PC (ENERGY STAR) that I use as second desktop that seems to have issues and I am trying to put it into working shape. Have a new hard drive for it coming but I think (not very experienced at this) the BIOS has been screwed up. I can't load windows update so I'm replacing the HDD. Saw you video about updating the BIOS but when I downloaded the HP BIOS from HP, it was in .EXT and when I tried to update, message came back saying approx "exe files not supported". Any help would be appreciated, and thanks again.
Thankyou so much bro
I thought the Flash BIOS button was if you screwed up the normal method (bower off etc as stated) and it was corrupted!?
I did like you said but when i updated my bios said reset and my pc turned off and its not working it idk what happened
for some reason when i open the download i have more then 2 files and i don't know which ones to copy and paste
I have a pc that i built last year around June. Since then most AAA or high end games like cyber punk or the new helldiver keeps crashing after a couple of minutes of playing. I've tried deleting the GPU and reinstalling it but that didn't work. I'm not much of a computer genius and I'm not sure if updating the bios will help with this problem. Can anyone help?
So why do you need a flash drive?
so in other words i have to have a flash usb drive to continue at 5:36
??
Yes, you need a flash USB formatted to FAT32 in order to continue with bios updates.
Pros and cons why to update or not ?
Is it like rooting a phone??
I have an Intel Core i 7 PC from 2011 - which works perfectly fine. So why should I ever change anything... I have 1 SSD with win 7 and 5 HDDs installed with a total of 16 TB storage. Why change anything...
Is there MSI software? I am having a bear of a time my motherboard is American trends I have the model number and I went to the website it's a Military 4 last updated in 2014 there is no listing for my series or board there, Windows 11 says the TPM can be updated to 2.0 I can't find it in the settings I thought if I updated it I would be able to find it, it's not in the advanced section I didn't see a header either to get a chip, AGGG frustrating!! I do fear bricking the board, it's not new and I don't think it has a rollback some of them do
Years ago when I had a 56 Mhz CPU (intel) and 8 Megs of RAM.. (back in the early 1990's) updating the BIOS was easy, copy the 'file' to a floppy disk, reboot, run the file from the floppy.. done.. now I have a better (is it really?) system AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor 3.90 GHz and 64 Gigs of RAM, no floppy.. no CD rom drive either.. So, how would I update now? Thanks and my MB is a X570 Aorus.. and the BIOS had to be updated like 10 or 11 version's just to run Windows 10 Pro because when i would shut down my system only to have it restart and not shut down.
