Kimahris fight is a lesson: Sometimes avoiding a bully isn't enough. Sometimes you have to throw a fist and pray you knock them down...to humble them (cause they probably have insecurities of their own)...gain the confidence to stand your ground and defend yourself (for my kids even if your suspended from school I won't think badly of you)... even if you lose anyway you know you found the strength to fight when all other options were exhausted.

Kimahri Ronso is a DAMN GREAT role model, especially for kids!
This fight always stuck with me. Kimahri is such a subdued, gentle but protective character. Every character has an "Arc" where they grow alongside Tidus, and Tidus and Kimahri's interactions were always friendly; Tidus trying to break Kimahri out of his shell, teach him to stand up for himself in a way no other character could because they were too busy respecting his culture's customs. If Tidus hadn't encouraged Kimahri to punch Biran back in Luca, this cutscene would have played out entirely differently. But Tidus made Kimahri realize he's stronger than he realized and worth a lot more than a stupid horn. This fight isn't just about standing up to bullies, it's about proving yourself. Kimahri takes on TWO dudes from his own tribe that have subjected him to ridicule and torment and utterly shitcans both of them. Not only that, but the fight itself encourages Kimahri's defining attribute: Lancet. Stealing from others and using their abilities to your advantage. Or, to put it more bluntly, Kimahri, whether maliciously or wholesomely, finds his strength in others, whether it's Tidus's new world ideas or his desire to keep Yuna safe. But here? He's actively taking the instruments used against him and firing them back at his oppressors, giving people a taste of their own medicine and proving himself stronger with them. Something about all this jargon I find incredibly powerful even though it's not one of the more bombastic scenes in the game.

I've always loved how Final Fantasy characters have no problem going on in -30 degrees Celsius without any special gear, just chilling out at 5000m elevation in shorts and lookin' fabulous
I always loved this rite of passage. I was maybe 13-14 when I played this. I think my first playthrough I didn't realize you should use every party member in battle to get them all XP so my Kimahri was super weak. But this fight was definitely one of the many "goosebump" moments of the game for me.
@Ze TheGame the only characters who arent useful for getting through the main story, at least win it comes to defeating enemies, are: Rikku she can mix no matter her levels and she cant hurt anything by attacking. I lvl her agility up because she is useful for stealing turns. I always have her hold a weapon with initiative and put her in the starting 3 Khimari because he doesnt do anything better than anyone else. I get the best use out of him by starting him off learning Steal and then advancing him to the mid portion of Yuna's grid. He learns dispel reflect and curaga at Macalania, making Seymour a breeze. You absolutely want him with Steal for the Gagazet fight to steal around 8 lvl3 key spheres. Not to mention, grinding at the Al Bhed Home is a great idea because the monsters give tons of AP and are easy. Khimari will have Holy before fighting Evrae and Seymour2.. if you equip him with the halberd from the Djose monk that has Magic+20% he already hits for 9999! Once you reach the Calm Lands its worth winning Three Stars from the Temple Chocobo race to teach that same Halberd One MP Cost so you can actually cast Holy more than once a fight, couple that with the agility boosts he'll have from Rikku/Yuna grids and he can really cause damage and heal. This is the only use I have for him but the results are hard to deny when you breeze through the Calm Lands Gagazet and Zanarkand Yuna in my playthrough unfortunately misses out on grinding with the party in the Al Bhed Home, which means by the time she rejoins the team she is lagging in exp. Yes you can get good AP from machina before fighting Seymour2 but by that point I'm only doing it for the sake of making sure Bahamut can Overkill certain bosses with Megaflare. That leaves the other 4 Because of the upgrades from grinding at the Al Bhed Home I have Lulu casting or doublecasting Flare that hits harder than Tidus Auron and Wakka. Not to mention she naturally has the highest evasion magic defense and physical defense! Plus there are some enemies for much of the game that must be taken down by magic. Auron Wakka Tidus are your guys for catching fiends and will quickly surpass the rest of your party. My tip, catch a Ghost at the sunken cave and fight it at the arena until it drops an armour with No Encounters.. consider doing part, if not all, of the Lightning Dodging game before Gagazet. The 3 Strength spheres at that point will make Auron crush enemies effortlessly all through Zanarkand
@Ze TheGame have to disagree, rotating is the best way. I've beaten this game multiple times and the easiest way to go about it is having all your members participate, each character has their own unique skills, I wouldn't say anybody in this game is useless.
@@corrces then I must say you don't know about the Battle System of Final Fantasy X, those who think "Rikku is just good for stealing" only just because other said so are the most noob ones out there, let me tell you the plot twist, Rikku is the key to win any battle, even in solo, with Rikku you can defeat the Weapons, Nemesis, all the Dark Aeons and Penance, with the other chars you can't do that to Penance in 1 vs 1, in FFX every single character are the same once they are mastered the SphereGrid, with 99999 HP, 9999 MP and 255 MAX STATS, well then what makes the difference? exactly their overdive, alright, let's count: Rikku has offensive, defensive, healing, buffing and supporting mixes, the most useful ones are: "Hyper Mighty G." that puts "Protect", "Shell", "Haste", "Regen", "Auto-Life" on entire party, exactly it is how you should start a fight with Initiative there is the "Ultra Nul-All" which buffs you +5x Cheer, +5x Focus, +5x Aim, +5x Reflex, literally makes entire party absorbs elemental magics, so basically elemental magics will cure you, it's one of the best mix among with "Hyper Mighty Guard" and "Eccentrick" which makes the user gain overdrive twice as fast, since Wakka's "Attack Reel" does the most damage if the reels pressed correctly (2,2,2) which would do a 12 * 99999 damage which is better than Tidus' "Slice n' Dice" and even better than "Blitz Ace" so basically in offensive phase just keep "Eccentrick" Rikku and Wakka and let Wakka do "2,2,2" Attack Reels while Entrusting Rikku's mix so that Wakka can repeat, basically "Entrust" passes Rikku's Overdrive to the one who needs the most for example if a Dark Aeon, especially Yojimbo's Overdive gauge would getting full then you just can call in Yuna and pass Rikku's Overdrive to Yuna and let her "Grand Summon", so the actual summoned Aeon can perform an Overdrive like "Mega Flare" and "Oblivion" or even "Zanmato" and end the match, but that's no fun, anyway, after using the Overdrive the Aeon is there to take the damage instead of the party and in the case of "Zanmato" it's really helpful, I can finish off Dark Yojimbo with Rikku before he would "Zanmato", but it's especially helpful to the ones who play with 9999 HP or not to mention, even to the ones who play "No Sphere Grid" mode by the way, another pretty useful Mix is "Panacea" that acts like remedy, so cures Posion, Blind, Silence, Slow, Sleep, Confusion, Petrification, Berserk, Darkness, Curse, Zombie, isn't it lovely for just a "potion + antidote"? there are many useful Mixes like "Ultra Potion" or even "Final Elixir" for just combining a potion with a bomb, also further mixes like "Hyper Vitality" doubles max HP + casts "cheer" and "Hyper Mana" doubles Max MP +casts "focus", so in case of 99999 HP / 999 MP one would have early stages or to those who play without "Break Damage Limit" the mix called "Trio of 9999" comes pretty handy, 199998 HP / 19998 MP, now imagine that combining with "Hyper Mighty G." (Protect, Shell, Haste, Regen, Auto-Life", how about that just under 2 turns only? oh yeah that's Rikku, even if the party is K.O.ed just use "Final Phoenix", Rikku can't even die due to her Auto-Life for those who play with 99999HP/9999MP the mix called "Quartet of 9" is heavenly, 99999 will be your min damage/heal for the ones with 9999HP/999MP there is the so-called "Trio of 9999" to combo 9999's if that's not enough then go right for "Miracle Drink" which makes the entire party always hit "critical" all the time also, "Black Hole" is mentionable as it takes 15/16 of current HP of target sorry for crushing your party, but Auron is NOT usable at all, Auron exactly belongs to the useless characters like Lulu and Kimahri, I get it you like Auron because he's "badass" (buh, how dumb and silly is that), but what Auron could do? the very best Overdrive of Auron is the very last one called "Tornado" which damages twice, so either 2* 99999 or 2* 9999, that's nothing compared to Wakka's 12* 99999 or Rikku's Eccentrick/Entrust copy of 12*99999 or Tidus 9* 99999, then it's way faster to kill enemies with MAX AGI 255 + Haste + Quick Hits spamming 99999's with "Quick Hit" like a single attack it's not just me, Auron isn't usable when it comes to Top Tier Bosses, I'm pretty sure you have seen a lot of others using a "Rikku, Wakka, Tidus" initial party with Yuna as plus I play Final Fantasy since 1994 and I play FFX since 2001, but if you don't trust me then ask other FFX/X-2 pros, they will tell you the same, Rikku is the key
2:56 One of my favorite parts about this fight is the HEIGHT DIFFERENCE between Kimahri vs Biran and Yenke. I mean, look at how much taller Biran is compared to Kimahri. And despite their more intimidating physical appearances, Kimahri beats them because he's grown as a person since their last fight, both physically and emotionally. Through his fights against Sin's fiends, he became a seasoned fighter. Through his friendships and experiences with Yuna and other guardians (particularly Tidus), he became more confident which provided him the mental fortitude to finally stand up for himself.
you can actually learn thrust kick before this fight. you can get it from the YKT-63, the robot with the big legs during the bevelle invasion as you're running to the wedding alter.
Why people are saying they never used kimahri? He he was one my favorite and most powerful characters. Him, Yuna and Rikku was my favorite characters to use.
I never used him when I played as a kid. He is a cool character but I was too busy spamming Auron's power moves, Yuna's summons and Lulu's magic. If I ever play FFX again I think I'll focus more on him and turn him into a super badass.

Fun fact: Biran’s HP is a combination of some specific stats whatever they may be when you come to this point of the game. So when I was little and got a hold of my uncles Game Shark for PS2, I maxed out everyone’s HP and stats to 9999. Let’s just say I fought him for 2 days straight 😅
iirc, almost every mob and boss in this game work like that. So the hardcore player will max out 3 char before the last boss. so it is the real challenge. And the speed runner do the opposite thing, keep low lv
You can start trying to kill Dark Yojimbo after you have gotten Yojimbo. Try to Zanmato him a couple of times with luck and he has a chance of dropping rare Dark Matters..I ended up with a couple of Break Damage weapons and Armor after getting a few Dark Matters.

People in comment keep saying they bully khemari while they not and to prove it they warned him before, and they even said to him that he forget about his friends and start fight with him but this how they treat him and biran want to make sure that khemari in position to be a guardian and this fight was just exam to see how strength he is

Yes, if anyone played the original PS2 version. There is a "Home" glitch. Makes you go back and redo the Home scene while everyone has high max stats. Thus, if Kimahri had 99999 HP. The Ronso's would have over a Million. Lol!
Was this the only kimari solo vs other ronoso's fight in the game? I only played it thru once but if memory serves me correctly there are a few of these fights at different intervals in the game to sorta test your kimari build and I'm having a hard time finding the others... Anyone know?
In this fight, I Made sure biran casts mighty guard so kimahri can learn it because the next fight is with Seymour and his mount, motiorchis, has cross cleave and annihilation.
Lolll fuck. I remember playing this and I didn't train Kimahri AT ALL.. this battle was hard. I had to go back and slowly train him so he could fight them .
Why people asking this ? The easy way just keep changing everyone in every fight through out the story so everyone get the AP , without grind heavily for just story you can fight literally everyone , for boss just use Yuna summon but before summon make sure all of your aeon max override

Basically I had no idea where the freaking hell steal was on the grid and decided to ask here, grinding was never my intention for kimahri

@@xRenRipper I already beat the game but since I grinded too much on rikku and nobody was really near steal I decided a little bit of rikkus stats wouldn't hurt so I used a friend sphere and got to her, then just went to get steal, whatever other stats and decided let's go for it

I never liked Kimahri and I never liked the Ronso. This fight was boring for me (and i also had to train Kimahri because i never really used him in battle)
Kimahri's play style is really weird because his base stats are really bad. The only way for him to improve is for him to take someone else's path (like copying Rikku's steal ability), but since someone else in your party ALREADY has those abilities, there's no point in using him. In my personal opinion, he's really useless and I actually never used him when I played the Remaster.
I always used Kimahri as a kind of battle-mage, with similar specs to Lulu, able to cast Lvl2 White and Black spells and with a strength similar to Tidus. But aside that, he's not that useful.
@@papermoon7139 Actually there is use. If you don't know how to use Kimahri then it's your fault and your loss entirely. And the point is to get EVERYONE ON EACH OTHER'S GRID. Rikku was bad in beginning, sonwas yuna, so was everyone actually. It's about the training.
@@ElfenSama He can be just as baddass as you let him to be. You can make all characters do 9999999 jjst with a single smack. And if you make him powerful before via purifico he will help yuna out alot. Same with powering her up too and giving her everyone elses skills too.
Shame you didn't like him. He's potentially the best character in your party since he'll be the first to go onto another member's section and learn their abilities. He can be your second thief, second mage, second healer, second haste-caster or another damage dealer depending on what you want. Extremely versatile.
@@bobbob2820 everyone knows that, stealing lv3 key spheres tho its not a huge issue since you can just bribe later, the only overdrive you probably doesnt have this point on Kimahri is white wind, mighty guard and nova. 2 of those you can get on the gagazet cave. By this point your kimhari should already have: Jump, Seed cannon, Fire Breath, Aqua Breath, Stone Breath, Bad Breath, Self destruct, Doom, Thrust Kick
I always get chills when Kimahri leaps after them and then the glass shatter effects happens before they battle. I loved this game so much.

by the way, another pretty useful Mix is "Panacea" that acts like remedy, so cures Posion, Blind, Silence, Slow, Sleep, Confusion, Petrification, Berserk, Darkness, Curse, Zombie, isn't it lovely for just a "potion + antidote"?
there are many useful Mixes like "Ultra Potion" or even "Final Elixir" for just combining a potion with a bomb, also further mixes like "Hyper Vitality" doubles max HP + casts "cheer" and "Hyper Mana" doubles Max MP +casts "focus", so in case of 99999 HP / 999 MP one would have early stages or to those who play without "Break Damage Limit" the mix called "Trio of 9999" comes pretty handy, 199998 HP / 19998 MP, now imagine that combining with "Hyper Mighty G." (Protect, Shell, Haste, Regen, Auto-Life", how about that just under 2 turns only? oh yeah that's Rikku, even if the party is K.O.ed just use "Final Phoenix", Rikku can't even die due to her Auto-Life
for those who play with 99999HP/9999MP the mix called "Quartet of 9" is heavenly, 99999 will be your min damage/heal
for the ones with 9999HP/999MP there is the so-called "Trio of 9999" to combo 9999's
if that's not enough then go right for "Miracle Drink" which makes the entire party always hit "critical" all the time
also, "Black Hole" is mentionable as it takes 15/16 of current HP of target
sorry for crushing your party, but Auron is NOT usable at all, Auron exactly belongs to the useless characters like Lulu and Kimahri, I get it you like Auron because he's "badass" (buh, how dumb and silly is that), but what Auron could do? the very best Overdrive of Auron is the very last one called "Tornado" which damages twice, so either 2* 99999 or 2* 9999, that's nothing compared to Wakka's 12* 99999 or Rikku's Eccentrick/Entrust copy of 12*99999 or Tidus 9* 99999, then it's way faster to kill enemies with MAX AGI 255 + Haste + Quick Hits spamming 99999's with "Quick Hit" like a single attack
it's not just me, Auron isn't usable when it comes to Top Tier Bosses, I'm pretty sure you have seen a lot of others using a "Rikku, Wakka, Tidus" initial party with Yuna as plus
I play Final Fantasy since 1994 and I play FFX since 2001, but if you don't trust me then ask other FFX/X-2 pros, they will tell you the same, Rikku is the key

And despite their more intimidating physical appearances, Kimahri beats them because he's grown as a person since their last fight, both physically and emotionally.
Through his fights against Sin's fiends, he became a seasoned fighter. Through his friendships and experiences with Yuna and other guardians (particularly Tidus), he became more confident which provided him the mental fortitude to finally stand up for himself.

you can actually learn thrust kick before this fight. you can get it from the YKT-63, the robot with the big legs during the bevelle invasion as you're running to the wedding alter.
Why people are saying they never used kimahri? He he was one my favorite and most powerful characters. Him, Yuna and Rikku was my favorite characters to use.
I never used him when I played as a kid. He is a cool character but I was too busy spamming Auron's power moves, Yuna's summons and Lulu's magic. If I ever play FFX again I think I'll focus more on him and turn him into a super badass.
I agree he is always one of my strongest and the one I use all the time, I just like everything about him tbh. One of the most underrated/underappreciated characters of all time really

Fun fact: Biran’s HP is a combination of some specific stats whatever they may be when you come to this point of the game.
So when I was little and got a hold of my uncles Game Shark for PS2, I maxed out everyone’s HP and stats to 9999. Let’s just say I fought him for 2 days straight 😅
iirc, almost every mob and boss in this game work like that. So the hardcore player will max out 3 char before the last boss. so it is the real challenge. And the speed runner do the opposite thing, keep low lv

It's all on luck...I reset the game a lot if Zanmato never shows up. Took me an hour to grab the items.
You can start trying to kill Dark Yojimbo after you have gotten Yojimbo. Try to Zanmato him a couple of times with luck and he has a chance of dropping rare Dark Matters..I ended up with a couple of Break Damage weapons and Armor after getting a few Dark Matters.

Yes, if anyone played the original PS2 version. There is a "Home" glitch. Makes you go back and redo the Home scene while everyone has high max stats. Thus, if Kimahri had 99999 HP. The Ronso's would have over a Million. Lol!
Was this the only kimari solo vs other ronoso's fight in the game? I only played it thru once but if memory serves me correctly there are a few of these fights at different intervals in the game to sorta test your kimari build and I'm having a hard time finding the others... Anyone know?
In this fight, I Made sure biran casts mighty guard so kimahri can learn it because the next fight is with Seymour and his mount, motiorchis, has cross cleave and annihilation.
I guess using a single Dark Matter is one way to bypass each Ronso buffing himself with Haste or Berserk after one dies.
How come Biran & Yenke Ronso had so much health, when I fought them their health wasn't over 10,000. Is it become this is the Remaster version?

Why people asking this ? The easy way just keep changing everyone in every fight through out the story so everyone get the AP , without grind heavily for just story you can fight literally everyone , for boss just use Yuna summon but before summon make sure all of your aeon max override

Basically I had no idea where the freaking hell steal was on the grid and decided to ask here, grinding was never my intention for kimahri
@@Prince_of_Games just teleport sphere or friend sphere if you didnt grind rikku , so without farming kimahri you can just have steal just go to rikku with sphere , using friend sphere
@@xRenRipper I already beat the game but since I grinded too much on rikku and nobody was really near steal I decided a little bit of rikkus stats wouldn't hurt so I used a friend sphere and got to her, then just went to get steal, whatever other stats and decided let's go for it

I never liked Kimahri and I never liked the Ronso. This fight was boring for me (and i also had to train Kimahri because i never really used him in battle)
Kimahri's play style is really weird because his base stats are really bad. The only way for him to improve is for him to take someone else's path (like copying Rikku's steal ability), but since someone else in your party ALREADY has those abilities, there's no point in using him. In my personal opinion, he's really useless and I actually never used him when I played the Remaster.
I always used Kimahri as a kind of battle-mage, with similar specs to Lulu, able to cast Lvl2 White and Black spells and with a strength similar to Tidus. But aside that, he's not that useful.
@@papermoon7139 Actually there is use. If you don't know how to use Kimahri then it's your fault and your loss entirely. And the point is to get EVERYONE ON EACH OTHER'S GRID. Rikku was bad in beginning, sonwas yuna, so was everyone actually. It's about the training.
@@ElfenSama He can be just as baddass as you let him to be. You can make all characters do 9999999 jjst with a single smack. And if you make him powerful before via purifico he will help yuna out alot. Same with powering her up too and giving her everyone elses skills too.
Shame you didn't like him. He's potentially the best character in your party since he'll be the first to go onto another member's section and learn their abilities. He can be your second thief, second mage, second healer, second haste-caster or another damage dealer depending on what you want. Extremely versatile.
Those 2 are overwhelmingly weak, I was kinda disapointed when I fought them for the first time.
It’s to give Kimahri new moves and steal a bunch of items from them. Which is why it’s best to go through Rikkis path
@@bobbob2820 everyone knows that, stealing lv3 key spheres tho its not a huge issue since you can just bribe later, the only overdrive you probably doesnt have this point on Kimahri is white wind, mighty guard and nova. 2 of those you can get on the gagazet cave.
By this point your kimhari should already have:
Jump, Seed cannon, Fire Breath, Aqua Breath, Stone Breath, Bad Breath, Self destruct, Doom, Thrust Kick
