I really love kindle tapping as a trigger. Please could you do a kindle tapping vid with whispers? Maybe a whispered tour of your kindle book collection? Thanks so much😊 💜
Seeing someone relate to me with shatter me is rarely seen, her writing in the books isn’t my favourite but her writing does improve a lot so don’t worry 😭
My grandma writes those kinds of historical romance books! She has I think two dozen or so, she retired a few years ago. I read my first one when I was ten, totally learned what sex was from those books lmao.
I love all of your videos, but there is just something so special about hearing you talking about books that gives me relaxation!💓✨ i started reading icebreaker because of you and so far i love it!!
I loved the spring pink theme, very cute and aesthetic, and it also suits your skin tone. The video was super relaxing and I will be adding the books that I haven’t read yet to my tbr, anyway, you know I love ya, Colombian hugs 💕💋✨
Love your bookish asmr videos❤ I totally agree with you on Shatter Me. A lot of people tell me the series gets better, but I just can't bring myself to read the rest. It's a fairly short book and it took me quite a long time to finish, cause I was just not entertained. Maybe if I had read it younger...
Also if you want to get into fantasy I def recommend the land of stories series! It has 6 books I believe, def more geared towards children BUT is very addicting and fun! I read all of them my 8th grade summer and loved them and would reread them again if I had the time lol
Emily Henry is my favorite ❤. As for the shatter me series I could not imagine reading it, I listened to it on audio books bc the writing style is not my type. Also the novellas are unnecessary. The story line gets better but it’s not that great lol. Currently reading the ACOTAR series and I’m obsessed. About the start the third book.
I love mama needs to read romance too! I read Shatter me many years ago and even though it was a long time ago i remember it to a degree but knowing i would never read any more!
kerrigan byrne and sarah maclean are essential for feminist historical romance! i especially recommend how to love a duke in 10 days by byrne (check trigger warnings) and 11 scandals to start to win a duke's heart by maclean
Fellow historic romance lover here and asmr fan... Tessa Dare is the best start to the genre and i would want to recommend another book called The Duchess Deal (Girl meets Duke) by the same author. ITS SO GOOD AND ITS A SERIES TOO!
I really enjoyed Birthday Girl! One of my favorite books is All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata. Bit of an age gap, but the FMC is in her mid-twenties. Also a bit of a slow burn, but SOOO worth it 🥰
Will you be doing the tandem read of empire of storms and Tower of dawn? Its exhausting but so worth it to avoid spoiling yourself for certain aspects and avoiding the huge cliffhanger as well
I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for your incredible ASMR videos. The time, effort, and dedication you put into creating these soothing experiences truly shine through in every single video. Your unique approach to ASMR has not only helped me find relaxation and solace in my daily life but has also brought a sense of warmth and comfort that I never knew I needed The love and care you put into each video is truly remarkable, and it's clear that your passion for helping others shines through in your work. Your creativity and the calming atmosphere you create have made a significant impact on my well-being, providing me with countless moments of tranquility and restful sleep. As a loyal viewer, I eagerly look forward to each new release, knowing that I am about to embark on yet another soothing journey with your guidance. It is a privilege to be a part of your growing community, and I am grateful for the positive energy you bring to all of us. I eagerly look forward to your future creations and the continued journey of relaxation and bliss that you so graciously provide. Thank you once again for all that you do, and please keep sharing your beautiful gift with the world.
I barely read anything in March. Only one book I think 😭 Work was busy and all I wanted to do when I got home was sleep. Felt like I didn’t have the head space to read when all I wanted to do was close my eyes and sleep to escape
I really don’t like how predatory/potentially abusive relationships are called “‘dark’ romance” or “taboo romance” in the genre. Esp since a lot of teens read it. Some of Penelope Douglas’ books are just straight up glorifying abuse for teens while glossing over the issue of power dynamics and what constitutes actual consent, and there’s no nuance in it that shows that it’s not just about saying yes.
i totally understand and agree with the basis of what you are saying! tho it is important to remember that all of Penelope's books are labeled 18+ with trigger and content warnings. so teens should not be reading them either way. obviously teens will always manage to get their hands on adult content, which is unfortunate, but because these books aren't labeled or marketed for YA readers, i don't see the issue. adult books can talk about problematic themes and relationships, because adults are rational enough to understand and not glorify them.
@@HaleyJeanASMR You are right about that. Douglas does seem to write a lot about teens despite having it labeled 18+, so the lines are very blurred to me. Have you ever read the book that was super popular a while back called Our Kind of Cruelty by Araminta Hall? That book was also marketed as a dark romance but it was just a book about a weird incel stalking a girl he couldn’t get over. I was like 🙄😡
Feminist historical romance rec: The Rakess by Scarlett Peckham!! 5 Star read for me and also the very first historical romance I ever picked up. It’s spicy, fun, feminine, and the chemistry is 10/10.
Cannot recommend Kate Quinn enough for feminist historical fiction (with great romance plot lines included as well). A lot of her work highlights real life heroism by under-acknowledged women in WW2. Seriously so good. The Alice Network is a good place to start (espionage and a swoon worthy scot hello), but The Huntress and The Rose Code are fantastic also.
i have a very low attention span but i really liked this video! i was able to sit through all of it without skipping anything also made me want to read :D
I'm curious, do you have hyperlexia? I have hyperlexia which means I can read at an abnormally accelerated pace. My pace is 3 pages a minute. That one weekend where you read 2000 pages sounds a lot like how I read!!
Hello greetings from the uk 🇬🇧 I’m new here and just recently joined your asmr I’m so glad to be here feeling safe and relaxed around you with your asmr giving me the most beautiful lovely calming and caring relaxing place for me😌❤️, hey I don’t know if you do any asmr requests but i would love to share with you my only favourite asmr request non custom and non personal to help me get to sleep 😴 and can I email write you the asmr video please if that’s ok with you 😌😇🥰❤️.

Would love this!
At 12:28 when you said the names of the books so softly and tapped on the spine it gave me so many tingles

Im on my second to last book in the series and im really enjoying it.

A good feminist regency era romance writer is Eva Leigh. My favorite of her books are from the wicked quills of London series.

Yes Assassin’s Blade first, always!

How much time do you spend reading every day/week? 🤔❤️
probably at least an hour a day!! but on the weekends, usually more. audiobook’s really help. :)
oooo what lippie are you wearing ?!
Love your voice! Loved the video:)

You should read The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite. It’s historical, feminist, lesbian romance. It’s brilliant.
