The water isn't always so clean and clear, those are our bluewater days. Most of the time, soot from the Mississippi river browns up galveston. Out in the actual bay its usually really green though.
@@lagoonaticfishing4057 I caught my first ever ribbonfish in that channel. Down the road from there, past the blue river RV resort, is a TPWD kayak launch and you can paddle NE to Churhill Bayou. The fishing is good there also.
The camera? I made a pole out of pvc, stick it inside one of the holes embedded in the Pescador, then use a claw grip adapter to attach the gopro. With that I can turn it 360 and adjust height on the fly. It's no Zoffinger rig, but it does the job.
@@lagoonaticfishing4057 Finally seen them on google earth. I'll have to give them a go one day. I've launched right there of settgast but didn't go that far west.

I thought it was a little out of the ordinary. I'm used to seeing the water pretty brown mostly.
Gotta love those times when you catch the unexpexted. great way to end the day. well done.

That's a nice red...
Way to stay after them. Nice work.
Good video
Can you stand up in that kayak? Thanks for the video!
I can when it is completely flat water. But even still I need to balance. Certainly could use some outriggers.
Good place to launch from. The channel is decent for fishing. I was watching them building that jetty back in September.
Looking forward to returning as the water temps rise, I can see that channel holding some great fish.

@@lagoonaticfishing4057 I don't recognize that launch spot. I launch from the park most weekends.
@@danielclark2459 Waterman's is within the neighborhood just to the right of the park. Just keep in mind it's paid launching there...

Hey thanks Coach!
According to the park site the bay side is open
Yep, they just re-opened and all the renovations look great

Where's this launch????
Waterman's Marina, next to Galveston State Park
Where are the jetties at the state park?
If you head straight to the bay side of the park you'll see them out there. Only accessible by boat or 'yak.

@@lagoonaticfishing4057 top waters hit regularly at those jetties right after dawn.
