These spots have helped me catch a lot of BIG fish throughout the years I've been fishing in West Bay Galveston! Sea Isle Pier. Enjoy and share with others!

    Appreciate your willingness to share some of your knowledge of accessible places for kayak and wade fishermen. More and more, the shore lines are becoming bought out and turned in to private property, making it harder to just have a place to park and wade out or have a place to launch. Thanks again and you've got a new subscriber!

    My PB spec is a 26 that i caught years ago. I am trying to improve this year on my trout skills because I love catching them but i'm not very good at understanding when and where they feed but this video is amazing brother the fact that you actually explained how to catch them and where to go is something most people would never do. So thank you for sharing and you where rewarded with an awesome day for your kindness. I will be subscribing and following you from now on. I also fish the Galveston area so I look forward to learning more from you brother.

    Very informative episode Nick! Don’t be afraid to share your fishing spots! I’ve been out at the gulf coast & the mass amounts of garbage left behind is & will take it’s toll on our future anglers! If you could get with your well known TH-cam angler friend’s & find a way to get individual’s like myself out to do a weekend of cleaning up the gulf coast waters. It’s a travesty to see the waste ppl leave behind. I’ll give my time to help clean up the gulf!

    Hate to say it but the Galveston bay complex is already way too packed with "fishermen" and now with 5k people in one day seeing this and likely flooding this area they'll probably fence it off like Indian beach and so many other spots but even if not it just means it's harder for anglers to find a place that isn't crowded or over fished. Enjoy the views.

    • @squirving888
      @squirving888 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly. These youtubers giving away spots for likes and subscribers. No one wants to do the work to find their own fish anymore. Sadly its only getting worse with everyone wanting to be a you tube star these days.

    • @chapasebastiano8
      @chapasebastiano8 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All people like to fish and it’s exciting to see new ones out there learning and getting the chance to experience what we all have. You shouldn’t judge you tubers putting info out there for the ones that want to learn. Fishing is for everybody there’s plenty out there if your good enough to find them. Fishing is not all success either they will probably go out there and not be as lucky or skilled by that fact. Let people enjoy what they love to do and not criticize. Everyone acts like this water belongs to them or something. I been to plenty of places that close down or make it private we just go on and look for a better or different spot. My only complaint is trash of coarse. These fish do not deserve it. Keep em tight and may God Bless us all for having the opportunity to fish !!

    Has it changed since your video 4 months ago? My trip there this week netted 50 signs everywhere stating residents & guests only or towed. I did not want to chance it as I respect their community of course, just curious if you winged it and knew it'd be ok or whether or not it changed. It was disappointing, maybe I can find another cool spot in that area that's legal & safe from vehicle thieves. They have chains across the ramps that require a resident key. I realize I could slip through easily enough, but that's not that point.

    Sea Isle Pier and ramps are for residents only FYI. They’ll run you outa there quick. Our family has owned a house on Panola for 20+ years. And the neighborhood has to be strict because random morons come down and treat the neighborhood like a public boat ramp / trash can.

    Don’t understand why you’d want thousands of people in your spot. I know it’s no secret spot but with more traffic the homeowners may quickly shut down the public’s access and west bay is already very limited with walk in spots as is. Just some food for thought.

    • @cowcatcher9186
      @cowcatcher9186 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! My family owns 2 homes in sea isle. My grandfather built them both himself 40yrs ago. That was well before many of the houses there. He was well known as the ramp nazi by many because he considered it his duty to police the boat ramp. He also taught us to keep the pier locked. His name can be found on one of the benches by the pier. What always made it a great place was that the public wasn’t driving/parking everywhere. I grew up in the summers there. I live in Oklahoma these days but I manage to spend a couple weeks a year down there. The internet isn’t helping much.

    I appreciate you showing the area. I'm up in Kingwood and get down to that area maybe once every two months. I primarily stick to chocolate bayou in the winter and the causeway to the jetties in the summer.

    If you're catching and releasing, I suggest replacing the trbles on your hard lures to straight hooks. If they happen to swallow that treble just right, itll rip their throat out and just kill the fish. Unless you can get it out rather easily. You probably already know though. Good vid and that was an awesome trout.
