MAN I never thought I'd see a video of an old car like I use to own,and I miss it more than any other car I've ever owned and believe me I have had my share of OLD classics IN my day!!!!!!Mine was yellow and black interior with the four speed trans and 383 engine with factory dual exhaust!!!!!!!

Johnny Hawkins hear you my good man......had one too.....3 generation, 'cept mine had a vinyl top and only the 225/6. But the same Color.......best driving car and a beauty to behold , Fender skirts to boot......gramps was a smart man till that Drunk run him over in a crosswalk, then he was dead......😭

This Sport Fury would be a nice solid car to work with. Don't see too many 1966 "any brand" this solid. Love the exhaust as well, not too loud, just right in my book.

It really is a great car to start with. I would drive it just like it is for quite a while. I really like the original interior and the fact that it's a four speed.

That’s a rare ol dog...amazing with the stick! Soon as I saw the line lock button it was obvious he’s got some history on him...not an easy life probably but still made it through. These were solid built mopars...a buddy had a ‘66 Fury III and it was amazingly well built...before Chrysler’s bad rep for poor assembly starting with the fuselage bodies. Very awesome thx for showing

Brings back memories. Our family had this car, as the stock Fury with the AT. The stock 383 was a very strong motor. The original paint was more of a baby blue color, although my memory may be off. My mom drove this car, my dads Chrysler Newport had the same motor, both cars seemed very fast to me. I was seventeen in 1966. My mother had a Ford Galaxy convertible before, the Plymouth was noticeably faster. These cars seemed huge to me at the time, and when I started buying my own cars, I went smaller.

I'm assuming that when he lifted the hood and said he thought it might have a bigger cam in it that he hadn't heard it run yet.

You mean it sounds like a stock cam? Not a silly big cam for sure. Many over cam to get a lope - like they hear at the digs. I always recommend a near factory cam to make it a better daily. Like a 209/212 at 440. - Happy Trails! - Sandy

If you would have looked closer at the shifter you would have seen the button for the line lock.

If still available I would raise or borrow the funds to purchase. The factory 4 sp truly removes her from the mainstream.
