    It's a shame that Fury couldn't be saved, such a good looking body style. I bet she was a real looker, back in her heyday. And my best friend had a 70 Chrysler 300 with a 440 ci. back when we were teenagers. He's no longer with us. So it brought back both happy and sad memories. Thank you for sharing the video with us.

    I always really liked the Furys. This one was definitely left for dead! Hope you find another one to give those parts a good home! Another great rescue. 👊👌

    By the way, the model was Sport Fury. It was one of two special coupés in the Chrysler Fury line. There were both the Sport Fury and the luxury VIP. The VIP was also available as a 4 door in both pillared and non-pilared 4 door body styles.

    I have a 66 383 and the 727 that came out of one of those fury’s and there is nothing wrong with either. The 383 and transmission were both rebuilt before I got sick and been in my little shop since. That was 9 years ago.

    Love seeing these old cars saved! That Chrysler 300 with the hide-away headlights, the motor alone for the lights (if it works) is worth quite a bit as they are getting very hard to find ;)

    Cool car. I really like the headlights. Back then when you hit 60 g miles the car was done.

    • @michaeltutty1540
      @michaeltutty1540 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not know why you think 100,000 miles was death for a car. These cars, especially with the 318, are 500,000 mile cars before much went wrong. I knew people with that mileage on some of these mid-60s Plymouth's

    It appears to be quite a bit salvageable on that fury, I can see why you say that. It's always good to see what you're working on Brad. Keep it up and the cool videos 👍✌️🇺🇲

    I think I'd try rolling the windows down and PB Blast all down where the latch is and let the stuff soak in for a few hours and jiggle the lock button up and down and it just might eventually open from the inside or out..I always use a slim jim to open up the stubborn ones if you could even find a slim jim cause I've had mine since the late 80s that I found in a wrecked poleece car

    C bodies for that era have bolt on stub frames instead of being a true unibody. If the stub frame is good, you could save another car with it. I have a '68 Fury VIP and had a '67 Sport Fury and they both have bolt on stub frames. If I'd known that sooner, I could have saved my '67 some years ago but by the time I found that out it was too late.

    Dude back in the early 70s i was driving a 64 Dodge Polara with 440 and 727 trans it was a 4 doir and had a bad crunched right rrar quarter panel . But the drive line was good and that old Dodge would scoot . I looked for a body like that sport Fury to put it in but all the wrecking yards i went to either to far gone or just didnt have . Would have loved to had that body style to drop it all into !!

    Brad, another great rescue! I'm pretty sure those front seats are worth $$$ Are those head rests on them? It was hard to tell. 1966 was the first year for optional headrest, and are worth extra money. Did you say they were power also? $$$ Great find! :)

    Watching many many video's of people going to yards like this I would love to know why someone would keep a lot of cars rotting on their property? if they didn't want the cars send it to a crusher and if they did think they would restore them why not cover them? or do something to keep them more valuable. Watching you try to open a locked door by kicking it was weird.
