  • Get ready to take a trip down memory lane with us as we give this 1966 Plymouth Fury a much-needed makeover! In this video, we're going to be pressure washing this classic car and applying some serious shine juice to make it shine like it's straight out of a time capsule (in the spots where it still has paint)!
We know that many of you out there have fond memories of these classic cars and their unique patina look, so we're going to take extra care to preserve that while still giving it a fresh, new shine. And, let's be real - we want this car to look so good that it'll turn heads on the street and make everyone do a double-take!
"Shine Juice" isn't a new concept and it is used on everything from wood to cars. There are plenty of recipes on the internet, but this is the one we went with: • CHEAPEST Clear Coat - ... . Thank you to ‪@Challenged1‬ for giving the mix ratio you used! It really brought this patina back to life.
So, if you're ready to get a little nostalgic and see this classic patina get a new life then this is the video for you. We hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the shoutout!!! I'm glad you were able to find it helpful. I've found that a 2nd coat around a month later really brings the consistency of the shine. If it is too shiny, just spray some WD-40 in the mixture and it will help dull the end result.
Your car looks great by the way!!!

Please... forget the patina. You have been BLESSED to have one of the most beautiful automobiles ever to come from The Chrysler Corporation. A 1966 Plymouth Fury 3, 2 door hardtop. Give her the body/paint restoration she deserves. She's not a copper standing seam roof, she's rolling art. Best Wishes

Thanks! The super rusty parts really absorbed it but everything else beads so I think I’ll do a second coat

Happy Easter to you as well. That would be a good time. I have lots of smaller things to sort out before I consider bodywork and a full paintjob.

Man you have milo, corn, or sorghum about knee high behind you and you're talking about it being warm? I dug out the 65 GTO and the 70 Cuda yesterday, can't take them out on the road yet, still too much salt. The snow behind the Goat was 5 feet deep and there was about 2 feet of solid ice stuck to the trunk and rear bumper. Thats after it has been melting most days for the last three weeks.
Its rare I keep patina, usually if the ratty look is desired I put tractor paint on it and let it weather on its own. That way the rust gets stopped, it looks rough and neglected, and its easy to put a real paint job on it later if I want. Just how I do things, the Fury looks cool like it is.

I think that is some type of winter grass they plant every year. I believe this treatment should be easy to wash off if we decide to paint it someday.

I cant find any weather stripping for the windows, rubber, felt, etc. Does anyone know where to get that at? Cool Patina btw, love the car.

I haven't ordered any at this time, but JimsAutoParts.com seems to have the most selection that I have found. Thank you, I am really happy with the way it turned out.

I really like the way the car looks now, but I also dream about a nice red paint job with a black top as well. I want to enjoy the car the way it is and get all the small things sorted before I even consider a full paint job, tho.

So sick of seeing all you "patina" guys doing this to cool cars. Sand that ol girl down and give her a nice new paint job and get her looking good. Not being lazy and just putting lindseed oil on old weathered paint and surface rust. I'll just put it plainly, patina sucks. The only thing patina looks good on is old statues and old copper roofs. That's not patina on that car thats just rust and weathering.
