Wasn’t intended to be a hand pocket. Just a well organized flippable towel. It’s call the double flip. I use them for rinseless because the towel won’t come unfolded on you.
Great video Phil. I won a GloveboxRx awhile back and I gave it to my mom so she doesn't have to mix anything. Perfect for her at 75 and she still details her SUV. Oddly enough I also won a gallon of Pilot. 😂 Bradley gave me a tip that it works great on floor mats and doesn't make it slippery. I gave her 32oz of that.
I wanna say the pocket designs are specifically a variation of a product adapted to those with arthritis or those struggling with dexterity. Good for you staying agile, and chipper throughout it all.
@@MirandaDetailing dude that’s awesome I’m going to watch it now! I always wanted to get it but contemplated for months. Luckily it’s easily accessible on Amazon, they have some great stuff!
Another great video Phil , the SUV came out looking amazing. You and Jess did a really good job. Hope your trip went well and everyone has a good week.
I feel the same as you about the pocket towels. I like the idea but do not like to use with my hand in the pockets. I like being able to flip them inside out and whatnot (which I do love) but I grab them like a wash pad.
I like the idea of a pocket towel. I’m going to get some of the glass ones as it looks like they have many useable layers inside. If nothing else I just flip and flip and flip without having to refold loads.
Phil ,you are so good at teaching! Ive learned ao much for you. I wish i lived closer to Virginia and inwould pay you tongive me some polishing training!
17:10 suds labs def sounds a bit too foamy. Is it the champagne 🥂 of suds or duds? Looks a bit deflated straight out of the bottle. How you gonna pop that thing?
Awesome, when I presoak I always have to pre-rinse first but not because I want to. I detail outside in the sun so I have to cool off the panels before I presoak so the product I am using doesn’t dry so quickly and has a chance to do its job. It gets really hot in Oklahoma. #detailglovebox
I have loved your videos for years, but I have never participated in any giveaway, today I did it for the September Glove Box. How do I find out if I am the winner of this prize? Thanks
Awesome! Thanks! I will comment on this comment and let you know if you won. I also post the winner on my youtube community post so everyone can see it
I always forget to encourage you folks to keep doing what you're doing. Great, great channel. You're not pushy with certain products or absolute techniques. Most of the things I've tried that you've taught me work pretty darn good! Thank you so much. Hi wife.
I like the pockets for certain things. Between seats and consoles and where the windshield and dash meet. Really depends on what I need to accomplish. I always watch till the end so I don't miss stuff. ,#GLOVEBOXDETAIL
Great video as always Phil I also started doing the pre soak only if it’s dusty nothing heavy if it’s really dirty I do a good rinse and then soap so I can go around with my detail brushes then rinse again then foam and start the wash process I’m probably doing to many steps 😂
What product for a beard like that, is all I wanna know! Is a clay mitt too abrasive, aggressive or too gentle? Is there a baby face hiding behind that heavy duty tenacious bearD?
If you use proper lubrication and technique with very little pressure; you won’t mar your paint. Do the wash first to get most of the larger grit off and clay second. Like I said, No pressure and a good quality lubricant and you should be smooth sailing. Clay mitts are a lot less aggressive than clay bar and way less likely to scratch or mar overall. Hope this helps!
I agree with you on the Towel. I think for me the main benefit would be that it doesn’t unfold itself when using it. I never would put my hand in it, but with regular microfiber towels I always seem to have to keep refolding them😂 #DETAILGLOVEBOX
Phil, regarding the pocket design glass towel I use the Stoner Easy Reach tool for inside the front windshield and inside of the rear glass. The towel pocket fits the tool. Kind of floppy however it cleans excellent
#detailglovebox Great video! The Koch Chemie new label (Blue/grey) is consumer focused branding, (RTU) the other old labels are the professional focused branding.
Every time I watch your video,I wanna go recoat my vehicles. My wife thinks I’m insane.🤣🤣..but always seems that I get another few car cleaning tips! And it’s fun! Quick question.. I put a ceramic coating on my windshield and side mirrors and it made them hazy and foggy. What can I used to get them back to normal? Thanks guys.
@@MirandaDetailing Avalon King.. I thought I’d try that on my older car. I wouldn’t put that on my newer truck. not that I think it’s a bad ceramic coating. It actually turned out pretty darn good.but I use a different coating on my newer truck. Just wanted to let you know I’m not badmouthing that coating..
@@MirandaDetailing it did say I could use it on glass, but I should’ve known better. I’ll just try some compound like you suggested. Appreciate you getting back so quickly. Have a good day. Thanks again.
Actually. We don’t show it but we wiped it down with Dr Beasleys Fine leather cleaner, which is like their cleaner prep. Then we used the Leather lock. I just didn’t get any footage of it. But even so, not a huge deal.
Oh God no! No cartridges please! If you don’t understand ratios, dilution, and can’t tell milliliters from ounces, then only god help you. But will it foam?
I'm the same way about the wash mitts. I just don't like having my hand inside. Plus, when I'm ready to flip I don't have to spin it around my hand. I just flip it. I kind of like the concept of the square-sewn towels but then I don't think I'd like washing them. I am always getting grass embedded in my towels and I spend a lot of time picking the grass out before and after washing. Dealing with the folds...nah.
I just got one a those suds lab synthetic clay mitt couple days ago. It worked well with removing some water spots on ceramic coated glass. Good product
The Durango turned out really nice I have some of those pocket towels that came with my Reacher tool I use on my windows. There's absolutely no reason why you can't use that pocket towel as a regular hand towel without reaching inside of it added advantages you can still flip it inside out and use it again like a regular towel if you want to. A pocket towel the glass version that comes with the Reacher tool works absolutely great with nothing but water and the windows turn out beautiful with no streaking.

Nah. It was a marketing thing. Some people like to use it a pocket, others don’t.
