Thats what the shows been about, Loki using his flaws to do better (like that plan to make Brad talk), and whats Loki if not the biggest flaw in HWR plan (maybe), and if not for those flaws hed never of ended up on that throne. HWR could have been repairing the citadel with a gold looking substance to hold it together as it got older. Just general repair for him, but visually supposed to invoke something else And Mobius told him he dealt with his burdens with 'scar tissue', which is essentially what the gold in Kintsugi pottery is. Its like he made a throne of scar tissue to help him with his burden. I got the vibe that he was the one that had the gold cover the broken throne, and his actual in character reason being a sort of ironic thing. Like, he's finally getting his golden throne, but its battered and alone at the end of time, and he puts the gold on it to remind himself what truly sitting in a throne means.

Imagine if in secret wars, the theory that has been spreading online with each character representing an infinity stone, in order to reset the timelines and do the soft reboot, the 6 characters end up "creating" the big bang that is mentioned by Wong
Life is born of chaos, i took his putting energy into the dying timelines (entropic death) as putting his chaos magic into them to respark life. It was why i found the ending so ironic; a being of chaos being a keeper of order forever more. Though i also thought the tree was more representative of the Tree of Life (celtic) as opposed to the Nordic version
If green energy represents gravity and not just time, that would also explain the Hulk and She-Hulk's green transformations that completely defy mass conservation- because their bodies are converting the gravitational energy around them into mass, giving them their green hued skin and super-strength provided by their manipulation of mass itself.
I think the green just represents Loki's powers. When him and Sylvie enchant the color is green. If they were wanting to use color to represent abilities their enchantment should be yellow or gold. The gold throne definitely enhanced his ability and I don't think he could have accomplished without it.
I like how even when the infinity stones aren’t featured in anything anymore, their power and impact and meaning is still connected to the multiverse saga. And did anyone else notice Loki’s signature move being that he quickly flips his head and torso back up from whenever his facing down? I have a theory, simply because Loki’s power is green very much like the time stone. He also has the power of the time stone. Wanda has red powers similar to the reality stone. She also has the powers of the reality stone. So my theory goes that end of secret wars. 6 very powerful hero’s will have to give the lives or give the power to restart the multiverse. And in a massive explosion or something like that these hero’s power or life force will be transformed into 6 new infinity stones that are then sent hurtling across the universe/universes. That’s the Big Bang that restarts the mcu. I don’t know may be possible.

Loki could well have created the tree referenced in Thor and indeed all of Norse mythology in the MCU because once Loki organized the timelines in this fashion, they would have effectively ALWAYS been organized in this manner.

Also just the fact that visually this series looked Fantastic. And the color palette of the final episode looked better than most movies marvel has put out for years
When Loki enters the loom for the final scene, we see Victor Timely enter his head in the scanner, the scanner reads his aura and an automated voice reads "Welcome, He Who Remains", the camera straight pans onto Loki, who had just time slipped, and now knows what he needs to do: his glorious purpose. That's a brilliant scene to foreshadow, that in this timeline as the Kang variant who used to be the He Who Remains is dead, its now upon Loki to take the mantle of He Who Remains.
You are always impressive but this is mind blowing. It’s a brilliant theory that you explained succinctly and energetically. Im over here going “woooow 🤯”
Loki grew up with the same stories Thor did, so he likely had that tree structure in his head when attempting to bind the multiverse together, so he just made a tree because it made the most sense to him
I do like it when you bring sciencey theories into the MCU. I don't think "Green Energy = Gravity" works completely (What about Gamma, which is also depicted as green in the MCU or Graviton's powers in AoS not being green?), but it's an interesting idea. Clearly there has been color coding going on, which may or may not fit with depictions in the comics, since the MCU started. It would be nice if there was one unifying theory, but I have a feeling this color coding has grown organically from film to film and there have been revisions to any official coding that may exhist bts. Keep those theories coming, MT!
I agree that there was never a plan. Because in Avengers the mind stone is in a blue casement. There would be no point to that if they wanted the mind stone to be obvious to viewers to differentiate from the space stone. But I think green being gravity powers doesn't swing. I'd say its manipulation. Like loki's illusions are manipulation of light, telekinesis is manipulation of objects, loki did manipulation of shadows, enchantment I'm not sure because that seems to be more mind powers. But could be manipulation of the synapses to the brain like Sylvie inferred in s1. Who knows magic lore is never consistent!
MT is cool but Marvel isn’t putting this much thought or eater eggs in their products anymore. Speculating does the writers job in a way. We can speculate things they never planned and in retrospect they just say , “Yep. That’s the way we planned it .”
I implore you to actually listen to the science talk in most of the MCU films because if you do, you'd realize that Marvel has been thinking this hard since Iron Man 2.
I had a similar thought, but when he pointed out the parts about the Mind energy, that really put into perspective that there is elements that Marvel did think about, but others that weren't. I thought this was a reach at first but he made some great points.
MT is a delight - really liked the finale. Especially Lokis costume and expression at the end. Additionally, I would have liked Sylvie and Loki working together in the end. Lokis fear of being alone and her fear of loosing her freedom.
Came here looking for that explanation. No idea what he was talking about in reference to Dr strange. My only guess is that he meant “time stone” because there was no “gravity stone” in dr strange
I wonder if Loki always had such a connection to the space stone because it was literally calling out to him for his purpose in space. In the same way Mind stone called out to Wanda to trigger her mind to awaken. Strange was keeper of time because he was in charge of protecting reality and maybe it helped him sense time was running out and his reality is always in danger from a higher dimension hence his dedictation to protecting it. Ha I'm clutching i know.
I remember seeing a yt short (starting off bad over here) talking about the ‘7th infinity stone’, in which the creator of the infinity stones actually imbued their powers into the 7, and split them across different universes, the 7th landing on its own and infecting the universe with the creator of it basically being the center of a hive mind. Admittedly, it’s from a comic, so it may not line up with the MCU, but it’s something I learned ages ago and still remember
Really great video! I love explanation about whole material of citadel and throne and energies. I understand ending of Loki completely different way😅. I mean Multiverse existed before Kangs and whole war, so why would it start to break up when it's released from sacred timeline? I believe HWR explanation, that all Kangs starts to fight each other and destroy timelines of each other, which leads to destruction of existence. That what dying branches mean, visualization of dying Multiverse because Kangs civil war. But Loki, who control time and magic touches directly timeline (something nobody else in MCU did, I think. Closes thing was probably spiderman) and try to prevent their destruction by altering them. He can do it, but other branches attack healthy branches and kill it again (Kangs attack it again, when their first attack fails for some reason). So Loki takes all branches and timelines and force them cooperate, coexist and go in similar way. He prevented all conflict that would lead to destruction of Multiverse, by altering timelines directly. Kangs now doesn't fight between even each other (at least not so much) and/or doesn't target their timelines, but rather specific Kangs they have problem with. So Loki (indirectly or directly) created council of Kangs and prevented end of existence. Yeah, they still want to conquer Multiverse, but that is so big problem. It's like difference between Loki invasion, Ego plan and Thanos snap. Loki is Council of Kangs, they will come, kill someone and maybe start to rule Earth, but life and people will live. Maybe not happy, but they will have hope and can defeat Kang (just like Avengers). Ego's plan, which would kill everything on planet earth and there wasn't stopping it expected going to source, is representation of Multiversal war between Kangs, that would end all existence. Thanos snap kills randomly half of life is representing HWR plan, expect it's like 1% surviving it and when population growth over that 1%, they are killed. Now, with what has Multiverse best chance? Loki invasion of Kangs, all existence destroying Ego or 1%snap? Loki chose first option and forced Kangs work together and created council of Kangs. + he can keep watch on them and TVA is doing it too and apparently successfully, if they don't know about them yet.

Strange was keeper of time because he was in charge of protecting reality and maybe it helped him sense time was running out and his reality is always in danger from a higher dimension hence his dedictation to protecting it. Ha I'm clutching i know.
Love the Loki tv show! Can't wait for season 3
Crying that there’s no Rick and Morty breakdown
Love you theories MT
Absolutely love these nerdy science videos
I remember seeing a yt short (starting off bad over here) talking about the ‘7th infinity stone’, in which the creator of the infinity stones actually imbued their powers into the 7, and split them across different universes, the 7th landing on its own and infecting the universe with the creator of it basically being the center of a hive mind. Admittedly, it’s from a comic, so it may not line up with the MCU, but it’s something I learned ages ago and still remember
Putting the science into science fiction! Good job, very entertaining.
Thanks MT very insightful
