If before completely deactivate the AC on Volkswagen e-up! ONLY set the ventilation to the front windshield, the servomotor for the ventilation stops and the airflow blows onto the windshield. The same applies z. b. for the ventilation of the footwell greetings from Saxony-Anhalt
Hi Tedo. Nice video. Do you know how to the air conditioner set to off, whenever I start the car. Maybe with the obdeleven dongle? Thanks for an answer.
Hey Tedo, completely agree about that whining noise, but I think it's only obvious to us because the car is otherwise so quiet. In a petrol Up equivalent you simply couldn't hear it over the engine noise. Thanks for the video.👍
I achieved this by accident, then i turned it back on and couldn't replicate it. I've searched the manual to no avail. So simple... But i have yet to try it in my Mii and i'm sceptic :-)
it worked! so simple.... it's apparently about timing the button presses. a bit weird (and having to watch a special yt vid dedicated to the topic is weird too..) but it works.
Gazoline pump ;) Our MY21 does the same, unnerving as it likely is related to the not-an-bespoke -EV nature of it... Sounds to me like a coolant loop would be running permanently on constant speed. Does the fusebox or VW "OBD" reveal something?
I got my Skoda back after 5 months in service to replace 1 battery module and the BMS. Range in the city driving in this joke of a winter with 10°Cish, after the "fix" and the recall software upgrade is 180km from 100% to 0%. :(
What range you would normally have? I usually drive 80 to 20 (till it first time switches to eco), get around 120km, if consumption is around 16-22kwh. In freezing temp consumption was over 25 or 30kwh/100km, so real range around 80.
@@electricwhirl5175 last summer, when I bought it brand new, at 24°C, I had the entire advertised 260km when driving 100% to 0%. Now after it died at 2000km sharp, and is sat in VW yard waiting for parts 5 months... I am observing quite low range. I am waiting for fine weather again 24°C hoping to see if I get the the entire 260km range back. If I do, it's just temperature dependency. If not, it's VW fault. Your reported 80km range for 60% battery is low even for 20kW consumtion ... Ouch Feels better to know that others have equal battery impact with temperature, even without getting the battery fixed. Maybe my experience is normal?
@@Alex-qx7jn I never drove my car in red zone, the lowest I've got was 12% I think. Also I rarely charge to 100%, mainly it's set to 80%. As I'm using only from November through winter, I think I never got more than 150km till next charge (100 till ~15%), because on short trips you start car cold every day, so a lot of battery goes to heating. On long trips I drive on highway ~100 or 120, so its also drains battery a lot. Now on few days I had +18-20, consumption in city drops to 10-11.

Thanks Tedo. I use Eco+ mainly to switch AC off. Now I can exceed 60mph with AC off if I want.

nice short and very usefull info
Hi Tedo, Hope you are fine! Missing your new contents!
Thank you
the noise is from the small fan drawing air over the temp sensor. all auto climas have that, more or less audible.
isn't this dangerous for fog on the windscreen since there's no air circulating? On Eco+ it's off but still the ventilation is active.
For windshield fogging you should defensively turn it on or open the windows to have some air flow.
@@tedonash2681 I don't get why they don't allow to have the same AC functionality as Eco+ while keeping the full engine power.
1:22 do you know what produces that noise? It can't be the fan...
No I have no clue
@@tedonash2681 ac compressor maybe?
It’s the sound of the fan in type VII Uboat.
Maybe the coolant pump for the heating circuit?

Nice trick, thanks!
