Yeah I don't see the dummy as a way of knowing exactly how much damage you do to a player, since armor ratings can vary a lot, and if you're doing both physical and magic damage like with a crystal sword or ignited weapon, it gets even more complex with differing resistances and protection bubbles only blocking physical etc. But, it is a useful benchmark for comparison among different weapons or abilities. You can see how much better your new sword or axe or whatever is compared to the last one.
There should be varying degrees of armor on the extra dummies marked with the base amount of MR or Armor they're protecting against. This way you won't get misleading numbers.
monsters have no armor either so you can translate your damage from the dummy to them easily and reliably (100 damage to face oneshots regular archer, 150 regular footman etc...)
Wtf? A good, informative and well researched video and you didn't stretch it to atleast 8+ minutes?! Is this youtube?! Well done, man!
I always noticed this but never heard anyone talk about it, I'm glad to see someone finally mention it
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRDD!

dangit! I KNEW something seemed odd about those dummy numbers. Really helpful video that got right to the point.

Nice job on the maths
