mecha never died but it felt like it was in hybernation for a while, but now I feel like it's finally having its reinassance, we're getting a lot of hype shows, movies and games all at the same time.
Kinda blame isekai for that. Timing wise when mecha was starting to fall a sleep isekai genre skyrocketed. Now isekai is entering the 10 year drop off (the max length a genre trend lasts for before starting to step down slowly, this includes superhero movies which happened in 2021) and thanks to armored core 6 it helped revitalize that interest to general nerds rhay want more of it be games, shows, and such.
Just because it's not popular doesn't mean it's dead. Rather, we love "slowly but sure" pace of mecha genre as this genre already had it's "overexposured" phase in the 60's til 80's ago
Mecha being in hibernation was probably a blessing in disguise as the genre isn't as bloated as isekai or shonens so there's less mecha fatigue. The intecracies and difficulty of animating mecha also acts like some sort of "quality control" so the worst mecha shows are usually just painfully mid instead of being unwatchable while still being visually appealing.

Mecha always goes in Waves. There are highs and lows. This year just so happens to be one of the high years. ...man I wish Getter Arc had been a better show... It was so infuriatingly close. But hey, who knows. Another getter series may appear in five or ten years. Perhaps an adaptation of devolution? Or perhaps something original and batshit crazy In an attempt to recapture the spark that Armageddon and Shin vs Neo grabbed In the early 2000s
just looking at grendizer holding mazinger Z's head, just really shows how massive Grendizer is. just look at how big it's hands are and z's head fit's easily in grendizer's hand.
And yet you haven't insert Sorkyuu no Fafner: The Beyond, which is the latest (fighting) entry from one of the best mecha franchise in the last 2 decades.
Never let Garnt live down his worst take.
Oh I want to hear it now, where can I find this take?

All aside . . .
Man, I CANT wait for Grendizer U especially Mazinger would also be part of the show
Only new show I am looking forward to
Considering Grendizer is holding Mazinger's head in that last panel... I'm gonna start hoping he isn't gonna get trashed for the sake of it XD

Mecha will always be cool until we find fighting mech boring which is never

Mecha is love, Mecha is life and I thank Gundam for bringing me back
This genre would not exist if it weren't for Mazinger Z
Mecha never dies as long as bandai is selling those kits
It will live on
They never died, The mecha is eternal
btw little bit sad that it doesn't have Muv-Luv anime in this video but that's ok
Ita shame Muv-Luv still hasn't appeared in SRW game, i'd love to stomp the betas with a getter or mazinger!

Props on adding AMAIM. It lived and died fast, was mid, but the designs are so cool!
Mecha being "dead" is bad comedy lmao sick edit btw

Kaishin no Ichigeki by GLAY. It's not out yet though.
You could’ve also added Transformers, BattleTech, Super Sentai and 40K footage just really hammer the nail into this moronic statement.
