The single best interview on Andertons TV. Jack is wonderful and his technical skill, good humour, honesty and kindness of spirit shines through in everything he does. Thanks Jack, and thank you for doing the interview Lee.
What a wonderful episode. Like so many I'm a guitarist come to synths and Jack has helped to bridge the gap. Lee - you should be rightly proud of the team you've assembled. Please keep the ethos of musicians connected to real life and enjoying the creation of music at whatever level . We can't all be Plant and Page but we can all love the art. One of the best Captain meets ever!
Anderton's just set the bar incredibly high for the best damn interview of 2022 right out of the gate. Good luck to anyone trying to beat this one. You guys are incredible.
I just need to say that I love Jack and his personality. I watched a ton of his videos and love his style of playing. I’m a guitarist as well but always wanted to play piano as well and jack told me that I just should do it and told me what is the best keyboard for me as well 😁 Thanks Jack and all the other guys from Andersons. Peace and Love for 2022 !!!
As a gigging musician (who has spent thousands of quids in Andertons!🤣 and more just this week!) there was so much to nod with and laugh at in this video. The realities of gigging isn’t the glamour some people think, if you ever see any glamour it’s a bonus but it isn’t in the contract, it’s a job.
Mr. Lee Anderton, you have to realize that you are living that dream through this day and you are the todays rock star. I´m convinced that these fine people of Andertons are there because you have created great place where they can be themselves. And shine. Of course its really hard work and there are problems to conquire but you have all the incredients there. Be really proud. And Jack Duxbury is so brilliant human being (at least here in intervebs :) ) Great humour, musicianship and everything . This is all the english words I can write (maybe some curse words:), cheers from Finland!
How does this only have 23K views, two years on? Jack is a monster musician, fun, natural personality, and by all accounts, a really nice person. Really glad you guys gave him the "Captain Meets" spotlight!
🇨🇦Bill Morgan London Ontario sorry I'm a bit late At 72 I have been a drummer most of my life, Jack has inspired me to re-look at my piano, to really buckle down on it. 2 5 1 no problem, squibbing, I'm in. But it's Jacks comedy that is the secret( or as we call him here in London, Duke, ya the Duke of Duxbury) Keep it up Andertons, don't let that man get away. Beautiful interview, Jack expressed the torture & beauty of being a musician. Watched it twice. Colder than a whores heart here today...Happy New Year Boys
I’ve played guitar from the age of 15 and began learning keyboard in February. Jack’s playing, humor, and kindness is inspiring. Captain, thank you for interviewing this wonderful fella!
I love the honesty on Anderson's, it's great that Lee gives people the freedom to be themselves. The show absolutely has polish bit you can see and feel the grain underneath.
I've not finished it yet but with the geniusly simple piano lesson and searing honesty this is shaping up to being one of the best "meets". Great way to start the year. Thanks!
In the 70s and 80s, the height of of record company power, I had many friends who would get a record deal (I was SO jealous), disappear on the road for five years, get dumped by the label and come back looking, quite literally, like burnt out war veterans, with absolutely no idea how they were going to survive. I was absolutely at my happiest (before 'the plague') playing one or two gigs each weekend and being the big fish in a very small pond. Musicians these days have a much greater chance to do things on their own terms. It's no easier but it's a great deal healthier. Great interview with Jack.
One of the best Captain meets! 2 guys who obviously have a lot of respect for each other just chewing the fat. Jack is great fun as well as being enormously talented. He should be on TV!
It's about time, I f'n loved this! I had zero interest in keys (geetar player, myself) until I started watching Jack. His charisma and incredible talent keep me clicking on his vids. Definitely in my top three Captain Meets vids.
"I was looking for a get-out there, and you've not let me" 🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely thrown under the bus there Captain & Jack, great job and superb viewing! 👍🏼🙌🏼
Happy New Year everyone and thank you all for the lovely comments. We're glad you enjoyed the interview! If you want more Jack make sure to subscribe to our Synth, Keys, and Tech Channel! 🤘 th-cam.com/channels/eeYTZnBXPJiYHJVfGn9NWg.html
Jack comes across as the nicest guy. I watch his vids 'cause I love his playing, not that I can afford anything I'm afraid. Captain...your playing gets better and better!
I don’t know anything about keys, but I watch Jack’s stuff quite a bit. He’s a great watch, super talented and his tips for non key players are so good. My 11 yo daughter plays piano and I’ve showed her some of his vids and they’ve helped her a ton with trying to figure things out on her own. Awesome interview
I love hearing Jack play and talk. Everything he does is golden! I really wish I could play pop songs within 5 minutes, I've had Piano and keyboards for 2 decades and I still can't play well Please teach me Jack!
I recognise my own story in Jack’s, it’s not an unusual tale. Professional music was a beautiful job, most of the time, I’ll never ever have a better one, but the compromises one is forced to make are enormous, and the experience often nothing like we might have dreamt.
Nice bringing keyboards in with the guitar. Bands have been doing this for years. Lol. Seriously I watch both channels but y’all should do more of this. Neither instrument lives in a world by itself. 👍🏻
This was great. To amazing human beings with a love for music. I'd love to see Jack have a jam with Tom Bukovac someday. That'd be two heavy duty personalities!
Good show! I always enjoy Jack's demos, playing and insights, as well as his entertaining "antics". I still laugh when I recall Jack's description and demonstration of keytar "Tiny T-Rex hands". I don't think I've played my keytars with two hands on the keyboard ever since! 🤣
This Guy has got it as a great teacher that will inspire you , im totally self taught on Guitar and know a handful of Theory , which im trying to change , just haven't found the right Theory Teacher yet , I can shred with the best and play rhythm with the best but Theory is a problem at the moment XX
What a guy. Always loved Jack as a personality. So insightful as to what being a on the road session musician is like. Find it so so interesting hearing Jack’s journey/perspective.
Fantastic interview guys! Jack is awesome, and I love that you try to make any level of player comfortable with what you're doing. Funny as hell on top of being a genuine guy :)
Really good meet you. If points for enthusiasm 10.+1 for 2 fingers Jack. A Tim Pierce model is no a bad way out of touring. Respect and stay healthy all. 👍👍👍
I love Both channels. I am a guitarist in my bones but like many I see from comments on youtube, I ventured into the world of synths due to not being able to jam with people over covid. Jacks channel has been instrumental in my knowledge and growth in this world! Thank you andertons, captain and jack for all the hard work and efforts bringing us this amazing content!! I look forward to more in 2022 👍🏽👍🏽
My Grandad was a pretty famous Organ player, played Albert Hall and other big venues. Would have been great to have seen him in his prime, I only got to hear him at home as I was 50 years too late. Play guitar now but would love to learn the keys.
Loved that vid guys. Jack seems like such a top chap. Will be checking out his channel. Would love to see him play some guitar with you guys. Quality boys.
Great interview and completely agree that piano is a great leveller. There’s a brilliant quote in the recent get back documentary where Paul McCartney is enthusing about the piano to an engineer and tells him something along the lines of “all music ever is in there, isn’t it amazing”. Whilst not really true strictly speaking, I think it’s a nice way to look at it.
WOW ... nice collection of "... the Captain meets ..." lateley ... and this is no exception. So here we have "the man who addicted me to keyboard videos" ... great!
I need to watch more of the keys and tech videos, they're always entertaining. I'd love to get into keyboard playing to improve my guitar playing and theory knowledge. Maybe a wee midi one 😊
Jack is such a great player and nice soul. I love watching his vids. I play guitar and synth so its nice to have that content in the same place. I think if more guitar players picked up a synth they would find its very similar to playing with guitar pedals.
I'm with Lee, your left and right hands interact to produce one sound when playing a guitar, but on keyboards your left & right hands can be doing two totally unrelated things, whether it's chords/melody or a boogie woogie left hand and a different melody line with the right. The way my brain works makes it seem like rubbing your stomach & patting your head at the same time. Oh, & Elton John was cool in the 70's :)
“When you replace music business with show business it will all make sense.” I haven’t thought of this and I am disappointed that I didn’t think of this years ago because TRUE
Lee playing some proper music at the start there…good job, Cap - really nice to see and hear. Not sure ic you were using a different guitar feed / adding more room mic or a posh IR, but the tone was lovely too. Also great to see Jack - superstar fount of knowledge, tower of wit and ball of energy. Happy New Year, all.
I somehow missed this at the time, but I've just watched the whole thing and loved it - very entertaining and informative! Miss seeing Jack on the keyboard & synth channel as much as we used to.
The single best interview on Andertons TV. Jack is wonderful and his technical skill, good humour, honesty and kindness of spirit shines through in everything he does. Thanks Jack, and thank you for doing the interview Lee.
I get the feeling that Jack is "an old soul" kinda dude. He's so insightful. Man can I relate. Happy 22!

I’m also not a keyboard player…but I watch Jack’s Andertons channel the most, for his humour but mostly his sounds…brilliant
I just love Jack. His meek yet obvious overspill of enormous talent is something precious to tune into. Wish he were single lol

Big up to Jack, been absolutely loving the keys synth channel

Jack is such an inspiration. Watching his videos helped me get into keyboards and synths
Well deserved. Nice playing at the beginning. Respect to Lee for doing this.

It is top 3 of my "Captain meets". Happy that you have done it.
And you know, Nate and Lee V. Are next in line!

This has been one of my favorite episodes!! Jack is awesome. Enjoyed every second of this. 👍🏻
I recognise my own story in Jack’s, it’s not an unusual tale. Professional music was a beautiful job, most of the time, I’ll never ever have a better one, but the compromises one is forced to make are enormous, and the experience often nothing like we might have dreamt.
Big fan of Jack from the synth channel and this discussion was awesome! Great job gents!
This was an exceptional hour of entertainment! Great series of questions with open and honest answers. Loved it.
Nice bringing keyboards in with the guitar. Bands have been doing this for years. Lol. Seriously I watch both channels but y’all should do more of this. Neither instrument lives in a world by itself. 👍🏻
One of the best Captain meets…. So honest and insightful. Such a talented guy and amazing on the channel. Brilliant.
This was great. To amazing human beings with a love for music. I'd love to see Jack have a jam with Tom Bukovac someday. That'd be two heavy duty personalities!
Yay! Steve Winwood on Hammond is/was my inspiration too!
Good show!
I always enjoy Jack's demos, playing and insights, as well as his entertaining "antics".

So much to learn from these talented men.
Had no inclination of playing the piano at all. After this I now do. Inspiration. Thank you both.
Great interview and insight on touring, refreshing to see such honesty these days.
Absolutely fascinating. Two truly top chaps. Thank you for sharing👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great conversation.
This Guy has got it as a great teacher that will inspire you , im totally self taught on Guitar and know a handful of Theory , which im trying to change , just haven't found the right Theory Teacher yet , I can shred with the best and play rhythm with the best but Theory is a problem at the moment XX
Love you both
Jack is great. Love his enthusiasm and his approach to keys.
Jack is awesome. I subbed to the synth channel a bit ago because of his delivery and I don't even play the keys.
Jack is a legend, he's so insightful. Well done Lee for this interview.
What a guy. Always loved Jack as a personality. So insightful as to what being a on the road session musician is like. Find it so so interesting hearing Jack’s journey/perspective.
We love you jack 🥰
In addition to the many things I already think Lee is a gem at, you can also tell he's a fabulous boss.
Fantastic interview guys! Jack is awesome, and I love that you try to make any level of player comfortable with what you're doing. Funny as hell on top of being a genuine guy :)
This is absolutely one of the best vids from Andertons!! Great insight to touring!! Thanx Jack! It was a hoot!!
It was high time for that. Jack is such an incredible player, always inspiring. Happy New Year to you!
Jack playing that Nord like the Hunchback of Notes Be Damm! Great interview :)
I’ve always liked Jack but saw another side to him today and like him even more.
Getting Jack D into Andertons how did I miss that ? My bad, my loss till now. Synergy and such upbeat enthusiasm, love it
Have to comment, Jack is great.
Jack is Andertons greatest asset, he always plays just the right things.
Really good meet you. If points for enthusiasm 10.+1 for 2 fingers Jack. A Tim Pierce model is no a bad way out of touring. Respect and stay healthy all. 👍👍👍

A nickname for Jack ? Dux the Duke. Obvious isn't it ?
Such enthousiasm and passion is very inspiring indeed.
More lessons from Jack please! He is sooo great!
Jack is a fantastic player and character.
This video is brilliant..... going to subscribe to the Keyboard Chanel right now.
Loved that vid guys. Jack seems like such a top chap. Will be checking out his channel. Would love to see him play some guitar with you guys. Quality boys.
That was epic! Thanks dudes!
So excited to see this one! I love Jack, and it’s awesome to hear more from his back story! Hopes this gets more eyes on him and the keyboard channel.
I've always enjoyed Jack's videos. He's a joy to watch and his love for music is clear to see. Great interview! 🤘
Intro jam was epic! The Captain improved so much over the years, the same Jack. Keep up the good stuff!
I was so waiting for this because I love Jack on the Keys channel, but to know that Herbie Flowers is his God father is amazing!
Simply - BRILLIANT!
So cool I'm a huge fan of Jack :) Love his videos on Andertons synth channel. And The Captain is getting seriously good on guitar:) Great outro🤙🤙
I know this is about Jack, but Lee !!!!!! that intro solo was absolutely fabulous (Larry Carlton)
Had subbed to the keys channel because of Jack and his piano lessons . Awesome interview this one .
What a really interesting and refreshing perspective on the business of music and show business. Great interview Cap! 👍😎
One of your best interviews, really loved the piano lesson
