    ISDT Chargers are amazing albert i got the T8 and run it off a 40A server PSU i can honestly say i will never need another charger again it charges 6x1100mah 6s lipos in around 25mins also great for determining the internal capacity state of my lipos

    @havok4103 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    that DIY PSU is rock solid. has much more protections in place (aside from the obvious open bus bar) than any other PSU on the market that i have seen. if you connect two in series, you get a massive 24V, 1800W ~70A. @110V input. I know this video if focused on the charger, but you discount those PSU's when they are some of the absolute best option.

      Actually looking at the form factor, and specs of the ISDT PSU, I would venture to guess that is exactly what they have done... open it up, i bet you will find two server PSU's in it for 200% mark up lol

    Something to note is that the ISDT 3060 only outputs 700W on 100-150VAC and 1800W on 150-240VAC. So if you're in the US, the 3060 doesn't power the P30 to it's full capacity.

    I do like the Bluetooth feature even if it is kind of pointless, I like to know that they are exploring the possibilities that come from bluetooth.

    Awesome charger. They needed to send you there power supply. I’d have truly liked to see that in action.

    Current trend is towards sub-250g quads, ISDT says "don't worry all you big boys we got you covered!"
    ........ Bluetooth App is cool, but that seems to encourage being away from the charger while charging, questionable safety. Firmware updates could be cool though.

      I agree, I never leave the room while charging, the BT feature might give a false sense of security to some.

    Hmmm... high quality, massive output, can do 2 things at once. It’s the Albert Kim of chargers! I love my little ISDT 608AC!

    Oh my.... its a beast! Really nice charger though. Wow... pretty expensive. Thanks for the review Albert.

    Updating the firmware was painfully slow via phone app. Couldn’t find any docs on how to update via usb-c.
    I paralleled charged four 4s 4000mah at 3c - 48amps total in under 30 minutes. I’m using a EV-Peak PJ1 1360 / 60amp power supply - still underpowered for this beast.
    I’ve connected directly to my car battery - compact enough for parallel charging in the field. (make sure not to charge on engine and have a fire extinguisher ready).

    This charger is a beast! Dual ports is becoming a necessity.

  • @Guilefpv

    Wow, at 2000W, its definitely overkill for charging mini quad lipos. The SP3060 Power supply has a unique vertical standing design, kinda like the latest XBOX.

    Hey guys don't try to reach the charger's power limits with a 12V PSU (if it supports 24V input), you will fry the charger if incoming amp limit is exceeded, I did it once with ISDT Q6 charging from a car battery )

    I need a new charger and this looks amazing however a bit out of my price range. Any suggestions on a budget friendly not bottom tier chargers ? thanks for another great review Albert.

    Pretty impressive charger, Albert! Really nice! 😃
    About power supplies, those are a problem... The good ones tend to be REALLY expensive and they aren't even great... So... It's not easy. 😕
    Long story... But I build my own regulated power supply and it wasn't easy to find a power supply.
    Anyway, stay safe there! 🖖😊

    Great video...pity there are no presets as you are left with always setting up currents and checking the cell count etc . There should be around 30 presets which would make this charger complete.

    Hi. The connector that comes with the P30 has two large pins for soldering and two small pins. What exactly is on these small pins? I also have an IST SP3060 which also comes with a connector, but it only has 1 small pin and two large pins. With the big ones everything is clear, this is plus and minus. But how do I solder the small pins correctly? On which of the two small pins of the P30 connector do I solder the wire coming from the only small pin of the SP3060? I couldn't find any information on the purpose of the small pins, no diagrams...
    I would add that yes, I can leave out the small ones and everything will work. Just solder the two main cables is enough, but I wonder what functionality the full connection of all the pins present in the connector gives.

    With 1700 watts input you can't get 2000 watts out. More like as a single output 1000w, drive both channels 1500w max independent or combined.

    That’s one big boy charger, not for me and my sub250g quads. I really like that you can update the firmware through the app on your phone, great feature!

    I would like a dual charger without having to buy a separate power supply, just plug into the wall and charge lol,, but I’m sure these types of chargers have there place in the hobby just not for me

    The diy power supply is more than enough, dc float the ground and series connect them, you than have an 1800 watt, 24.6v , 75 amp power supply. Learn how to isolate dc ground. All it take is plastic m3 bolts and washers $10

    I was looking at the isdt dual charger but ended up going crazypony parallel board so let see how that goes am just charging 4s tho wish me luck lol

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Please be careful. Parallel charging boards are very dangerous unless you make sure all the cells match voltage and that none of the cell are bad. Even then you can still have a fire.

    This would be really nice to have, but for the price I can't justify getting it. If I had more, or bigger batteries then I would probably consider getting it. Oh, and 9th comment 91st view, and 16th like, lol. I think it's funny people race to be first. Lol
