@@geoffreysorkin5774 I thought everything was bad in The Bone Collector including Denzel. The Equalizer films are not exactly cinematic masterpieces either.
In the world of cinematography the shot where he hits the ice bucket of the table is absolutely perfect 👋🏾 (it was probably an accident regarding the trajectory but you see how it rolled right into the next shot) 👀
The song that was playing was Bobby Womack's Across 110th Street. I remember when the song hit the airwaves. It was the theme song from the movie, Across 110th Street (1972). It starred Yaphet Kotto and Anthony Quinn. It was one of the blaxploitation films that came out in the early 1970s. Saw it at the theater. It was decent for that time.
I remember watching this movie when it came out, I was in highschool. It had influenced me in so many ways and pushed more weight with my cousin taking constant trips to Tijuana back and forth.
Jimmy, the guy who gets his head caved in, is played by Malcolm Goodwin, the same actor who portrays Captain Finlay in Reacher. I thought he looked familiar. He really hasn't aged lol.
Dude didn't do anything wrong! Wasn't in the shooting, didn't mouth off to Frank, was just shutting up, listening, and got drenched anyways. Rough day at the office.
And nothings changed - this is still how massive amounts of drugs get around the world - full military assistance - probably sanctioned at top level these days too
Before tighter security, before 9/11, before regulations...money was the only key you needed to move a soldiers feet. Now days it's harder to bribe people since it's come under federal law now.
@@Jameslawz It's not even about bribing. People with military ID's can't even bring a person that they are with in anymore. They have to fill out all types of paperwork to get in. I don't mind it having tighter security but it gets ridiculous when a veteran can't even bring one person inside a base even if that veteran is able to get in on their own with their ID.
I worked at an airport beside an Airforce base in the 90s. There was zero security besides some old security guard who'd wave you through. We'd walk right up to the planes and pick up garbage and drive through the base. You could have taken whatever you wanted and never been stopped or questioned.
so i dont get it, did he whoop the dude with the piano and from that point on kept raging at everybody, or was there like a break after he whooped the dude with the piano till when they started to blot the carpet?🤣🤣
The fact that they would even defend that Jimmy guy and say it was an accident is downright idiotic. I feel Frank's anger on a spiritual level here. Damn.
Because when you're talking serious shit to a motherfucker, and you can't make actual eye contact, that shit is rude! It's basic manners! How can Frank tell that he is acknowledging him if he can't see his eyes? Plus, the fact that he's wearing them indoors is annoying in and of itself! And, on top of it all, Frank is entrusting a billion dollar business to a moron who thinks wearing sunglasses indoors is a good decision! Do you need more reasons? Because if you do, I think that I can't muster about 75 more.
It’s like a unnecessary thing just to show off and he always saw that as showing a red flag that you got money when the goal is to have it but don’t be an idiot with it, he’s seeing how everything around him is slowing becoming more wrecking and loud instead of being discreet and silent
just a question, so, something i never was sure about, and i don't fully remember this movie well in regards to characters. first of all, i assume the guy saying 'i should arrest you all', was a cop? but was that cop a cousin of Frank Lucas, or was the dude that Frank unleashed his anger on on the piano the cousin? Because first of all, the cop was looking for a smacking. He went out of line by far and asked for way too much attention. When he was touching that girl, i assume that that girl was 'the other guy (whom got smacked in the piano) 's girlfriend ). If that was the case, obviously, the cop went way too far out of line. I assume this is what Frank reffered to when he said 'it was no accident'. Shooting the guy was obviously another way out of line that was retarded. He did that because he lost his control. So, could it be that Frank was reffering to this as 'no accident?' Because Frank saw all of it unfold. The 'cop' was the loudmouth. I expected Frank to come barging in and taking control of the out of control Cop. However, instead, and though understandable to a degree, he actually took the other guy - that shot - and bashed him in the piano. Now what i never really got, was, that was extremely violent, and i always believed the cracking sound was the sound of his skull being cracked open in the piano and that would mean the dude would be dead. However, Frank said 'he don't want him here', now to whom was he referring there? They say 'he's your cousin' and he simply did not want him, but, who then was the cousin? The cop? or the guy he bashed his brains in? Because i don't remember Frank having a cop as a cousin. I also thought it was the cousin that shot the cop. But if that's the case, then, the cousin survived that trashing. But the sound of a skull cracking open would have me think he'd be friggin dead or atleast brain-damaged. can anybody explain?
