I love the looks of those engines. I remember I saw an I.C. GP9 at Dispensas Castle of Toys in Oak Brook Ill. Back in the 70s when I was a kid. I fell in love with it. But at the time, I didn't understand about money and the cost of things things. So since I wasn't working and my parents controlled the money, needless to say, I just could dream about it.

That white thing is your dynamic brake blister. It does go on top of the engine like you had it. Some railroads ordered dynamic brakes on their diesels, some did not, it usually depended on how hilly the track profile was.
