When I looked at the comments for this song, I saw the reason I love the metal community so much. A lot of them really disliked Belle's music, but they love her now. And not only because she killed it, but because she was the only one who took the effort of stepping outside of her comfort zone and did a metal song for Anneke. She was basically welcomed with open arms, you're one of us now. They may not like her music, but they like hér.
I loved it! First I was wishing for Karsu to sing it but it was Belle and she did it beautifully! Everyone was amazed! I congratulated her on instagram and she thanked me for that, lovely woman.
Belle rocking it out, and killing it too! I always loved this song, it has a really nice drive behind it and ofc Anneke's vocals are great for this song. But imagine my surprise when Belle said she was going to do this song for Anneke, it was about the last song i expected from her.. but dang if she didnt do it justice! I like Belle best when she goes all-out power-vocals and i never expected her to be a "rock chick" (or to be able to pull that off anyway) but she did an excellent job here. You hinted last time that you'd react to this one next, and i knew you'd like it, it's such a fun show and the talent that comes there is mind blowing. Thnx for the reaction Valerie :D
I just caught myself having my hands up in sync with Belle at the end of the song. I'm one of those that really don't enjoy her usual repertoire but she is a fantastic singer and she killed this. I hope she's going to do more like this, she's amazing. We would LOVE to see and hear you do a metal song Valerie \m/
@@VocalSplendorStudios I know and I also know that you are about to hear so many more amazing songs from all the participants of this season. I'm watching your updates closely.
Hi Valerie I liked how Belle sang this song. I really Love Anneke's version. I like the one at Pink Pop. I really think you would like Anneke's new acoustic album.

Belle did a great job here. For me very unexpected. Her Duet Wih Karsu was a big performance too. I know you did a comment on that already. Keep on doing your great comments Valerie.
Belle Perez is from Belgium with Spanish roots. In general she is more a vocalist in the latin 'easy listening' music genre over more than three decades. Therefore a little bit tame and boring for a lot of listeners. The last decade she dissappeared a little bit in the background. Nevertheless she has always been a true professional and with Beste Zangers she has proved that she can do more. Out of her comfort zone with her cover of Strange Machines, back in the spotlights with a lot of energy and dynamics, we hope Belle will perform more with heavier music like metal in the near future.
I find Latin singers some of the best singers in the world so I’m not that surprised that she was able to handle that song. I was still surprised at how strong her belt voice is and how her tone color changes and it comes so much fuller and more interesting.
I thought about metal that way. Dark, dreary and slightly satanic... not for me. Now my eyes and ears have been opened, thanks to Floor, Nightwish, Anneke and Devin Townsend.
@@VocalSplendorStudios and there is so much more. I suggest Kamelot - love you to death or earlier albums from Seventh Wonder. I bet you would like it.
It's not even about it being metal. She can belt it out, it's Anneke's night, Anneke has some of the greatest belting songs of all time in her catalog, so why not just go for it? Belle did, really well, so major props! The rest of them chickened out. Yeah, I know, adult contemporary/singer-songwriter is a big part of Anneke's career, yes, that's her current phase and all... but what a road not taken!!! In general, this season does not seem as well matched as 2019, fewer special moments.... If you like this format, look up some of Sharon den Adel's performances from the Belgian (?) version of the show, there were some great performances in that one, like this one: th-cam.com/video/5RWHSqUxGAs/w-d-xo.html
Impressive. To me this is a very hard song. Not very logical, I mean, you can hardly predict the next note, so you really need to study. The song is pure art. Very well done, I think.
In 2011 Glennis Grace (in 2018 contestant in USA Got Talent) was in Beste Zangers and she made a huge impression with her version of the song Afscheid, th-cam.com/video/lsoyzlkhXJ8/w-d-xo.html

Belle was quite amazing. I hope she sings more of this type of music!
As a metalhead I confirm this. I have nothing against Belle but her regular music is not my kind of music but that doesn't mean that she can't sing.
Belle surprised me very positively with this song. She got better every episode.
Thanks for this great reaction!
You are so welcome!
I love this performance from Belle. I’m sort of captivated and it’s been a daily watch. If she sang from harder genres I could listen to her all day.
I totally agree!
I always love it when they step out of their comfort zone and do something you would not expect from them. Loved the Belle Power Machine :-)

From Latino princess to Metal Queen in one song. Great stuff Belle! Also great reaction as usual, Valerie :)

Not a fan of Belle Perez, but she really surprised me here with her powerful vocals.
What a surprise!. That's what I love about this show.
Yup. Best one of this season, or at least from what I saw of it. Helps that the song is one of my favourites of course.

Metal IS joyful! Well, most of it - maybe not Death Metal or Black Metal, which a lot of people think of when they hear the word Metal >.>
