The Brady Bunch for its time was a wholesome show for any member of any family. As a kid I looked forward to Friday nights with the Bradys, and now as a 55 year old man if I come across a episode while channel surfing I'll stop and watch with the same enthusiasm.
What a incredible show and cast. I have the most incredible memories watching this timeless classic on TV. I have all the episodes on DVD and you just can't beat shows like this on TV. I would agree that the quality of TV has never been at more of a low point. But, back in the incredible 70's it was the most magical and incredible time to be growing up. The best TV shows were on then and there was ALWAYS something great to watch on TV especially between 8 and 11 PM, One great show after another. The Brady kids are around my age so I feel like we all grew up together. Those were the days. That whole cast looks great and Maureen still looks great!!
Gene Hackman was offered the Mike Brady role, but turned it down. Hard to imagine anyone else playing Mike Brady other than Robert Reed. He was superb.
Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and Ann B. Davis were great. Let's be honest. It was a really dumb show. You needed great actors to make it happen. Same for other silly shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie (can you get better than Elizabeth Montgomery and Barbara Eden), Get Smart (Don Adams and Barbara Feldon), on and on. The Brady kids were cute. But believe me, they could have found others who were just as good, if not better.
There was a story or in this case of what I want to say, there was an interview about the Bradys. In the interview it was said that there were six other kids, where the boys were blond and the girls had dark hair hair. I would love to see ET interview them.
Imagine rebooting the Brady bunch now with the same cast in the renovated house..with Dave Chapelle as Mike Brady...Olivia Newton John as Carol and Ellen Degeneres as Alice. Gold Jerry!

I was a lot like Barry I had a crush on Florence also then it was Marsha, then as Jan started filling out I had a crush on her after her when I saw Cindy playing the JD on her radio show I thought damn Cindy is a babe....So I had a crush on all the ladies on the Brady Bunch through out the years except the maid.....
The Brady bunch are adults but it is hard to see them the age they are today in real life. They still seem the young people in the program . in reruns i could watch the show and I was older than Greg in real life i think he is older than me peter was born a year after me but on the show he s the kid saving the girl in ahoy store . my question is what happened to bobby s hair? Wouldn't t it look better to shave it off. It s so thin and sparse but he s still bobby. Thanks for doing thus report.
