    Love my 2021 my big gripe other than oil filter is oil sight glass location. I did just add a Rekluse this fall only had a few rides but it definitely helped me in the slow technical terrain.

    The number one reason that I enjoy your channel is you always try and give good honest reviews. To many guys take negative reviews against a bike that they own as a personal attack. Man the air filter is something that you should clean after every ride so that was really a dumb design for sure.

    I still have the 2020 300SEF. It's a great bike and I agree with you on the handling and looks - so smooth. It almost turns too good stock so I adjusted the fork position in the triple clamps and it works better for me.

      Yes, I dropped the forks down to the first line on this bike and the 2nd line on my 300SE.

    I have this bike in a 450 and I can say that the air filter is not difficult to change at all, if you have any mechanical experience. Also new bikes are always stiff, just give her hell and she’ll loosen up. KYB makes great shocks never heard someone complain about it. I haven’t found one flaw on the Sherco’s yet.

      The air filter is a PITA compared to other brands, mechanical knowledge or not it is a tight fit and it rubs on wires and the frame when coming in/out. 50 hours is more than enough for the suspension to soften up. After 2 re-valves on the forks they feel great now. Most people in my area with Shercos also feel the suspension is to harsh in stock form. I still love the bike but one big flaw is the transmission, it will hit neutral more than any brand bike I've ridden. This was more of a problem on my 300SE as the riding i did on that bike was more often 1st-3rd gear where the 4T I ride more open terrain a lot of the time.

    Some people dont really care for the ODI lock on grips as they are too wide and bother my hands. Yes they are easy to change i like that but how hard is it to glue on grips??? Love my 22 SE 300

      Not hard to glue on grips but the stock grips are uncomfortable. I don’t mind the odi.

    Good review Greg. I had the same problem with my 2020 Beta 300 FE. The KYB's fork and shock specs were terrible. It gave me such a terrible opiniion of the bike I sold it with only 9 hours on it.

    Beautiful bike! Love the color scheme and full akrapovic exhaust. I'm approaching 200 hrs on my 2020 WR250F with the stock motor and it hasn't skipped a beat. I look at your sherco and it seems like the perfect 4-stroke enduro package. Based on the specs, it should have more torque and better stall resistance compared to the WR.

    Wow, I know you are a hard charger in the trails , but how do you chew up bearings so fast.? I have over 800 hr on my 08 300 Ktm and have not yet needed to swap out front bearings. and yes I check them regularly .

      Riding in mud and deep puddles half the year is hard on bearings. I’d be lucky to get 100 hours on my ktm bikes. I do re-grease every time the wheel comes off.

      ONTarible is not known for it's high desert terrain either. Maybe the aftermarket spacers with O ring seals make a difference .@@PNWEnduro

    I have a 2023 300 4 stroke and it feels smaller than my ktm 350, and it shifts not as smooth as my ktm

    how do you compare it with 2stroke? I too have 2stroke and thinking about 4t. Mainly for faster enduro tests, in tight technical stuff you can not beat smoker.

      I've been on the 4t more than the 2t this year. For more open trails it's a lot of fun, not necessarily better, just different. If I'm doing any loops that involve stretches of road riding the thumper is a lot nicer.

    Odi cam works. Take 10min and do some filing/shaving where you the cable rubs and youre off!

      Agree the 'S' cam works - First install I was fine, when I pulled my grips off and put it back on I did get some binding, but a little fiddling with it and ensuring everything was in the right spot and it freed up and is smooth

    How’s the gas mileage on the 300sef? I’ve heard only 50 miles on a tank in single track? Also , the 2021 suspension is all good but the 2023 too stiff is your experience? Looking at a 2021 sef300 right now. Thanks for response!

      I've done 60 miles with plenty left in the tank. Yes, 2021 had softer suspension.

    Suspension is very subjective so not sure that should have been on the list. If I had a hunch is that your 2 stroke came with lighter springs than the 4 stroke. Could that have been the difference? I had to take my KYB’s on my Beta 300 RE to a guy to valve for northeast rocks. He also did a bladder conversion on the shock. I was able to get proper rider sag with the stock springs.
    I’m on my second Beta and have loved both. A bunch of people in our club have them. However outside of the umbrella brand Sherco comes in a close 2nd with TM coming in 3rd. Beta’s don’t turn worth a shit in the tight stuff so I’m considering a Sherco. I agree I think it’s also one of the best looking bikes out there. Still not sure 300 4t or 2t. I’ve had 2 300 2t’s so I’m acclimated to them. My dual sports are 4 strokes so I can really go either way with it.
    Going by your info that there’s an update coming to them soon.. I guess have till then to decide. I appreciate the video 👍

      Sherco put stiffer valving in the 2022/23 forks. I've ridden the 2021 300SEF and it was softer than my 2023 for sure. Yes 2025 models should bring big changes for both the SE and SEF. If you go with the SE 2T keep in mind the 2025 will likely be fuel injected if that's a factor for you.

    470 hours on my original 2022 GasGas wheel bearings before I replaced them and 512 hours on my original Beta wheel bearings before replacing. The key is never pressure wash or hose off your bike. Just run em dirty

      Ha. There’s times my bike has probably 20 lbs of mud on it. Hand washing would take forever.
