Thank you :). Arran definitely has a lot to offer. I have a big island trip coming up in May. I am hoping to get to 6 islands! I've been to lots of others but mostly before I was doing TH-cam.
This is the 2nd documentary I see about Arran. I saw the 1st one when I was a kid, named Man of Aran. But, now I realize that this Arran is different from that Aran. Both are beautiful islands. Thank you for this well-presented video 💚💙
I just found your lovely channel. One of my nephews and I went to Scotland in November 2019 and it was a Paradise to me. We're going to Ireland in December. I would love to semi-retire in Scotland. My DNA is 79% from the British Isles and 20% Scandinavian, so I feel at home there. You have a beautiful voice.
Thank you. Ireland is fabulous too. A few years ago I spent some time in Connemara where my dad's family came from. I am planning to go back to make a video at some point.
Brilliant........ My Mum lived at the Moss farm... Moved out in 1965 when she got Married..... My Grandpa moved out in 1965 too..... Sad to see it in the state it is now.... Should be developed into a Machrie moor visitor centre........
Thank you! I still haven't found out when it was finally abandoned. Perhaps your relatives were the last ones to live there? I have some older photos of it going back to 2014 & the roof was still on it then. The local museum sent me a picture of a painting of the farm from 1911!
@@shiskinegreenkeeper2782I just added a community post with a picture of the painting of the farm in 1911. The Arran Museum sent it to me. I think they have the original painting there.
I really enjoyed this video and just to say you are so beautiful ❤️❤️. When in the year is Aaron open and Ferry s from Adrosin. If you don't have a car can you get to the King's Cave and Goat Fell. Cheers Neil from Newcastle upon Tyne England.
If you don't have a car it's best to stay in Brodick where you can get a bus, taxis or hire a bike. Stagecoach buses have all the routes on their website to places like King's Cave & Goat Fell
Best time of year for Machrie is (in my experience) March or October / November, especially if it is dry. It is usually lovely if it has been dry for a spell. 2024 has been super wet here as elsewhere. It is a moor, as the label says, so stay on firm paths if it is soggy. You were a bit unlucky. Midgies are not normally a problem, but this year's wet clearly suited them. Summer is often glorious, but the grass is high, which is why March/October is good. Nice video, btw!
I have a question for you about the stone circles: Can they be seen from the sea? In other words if they were constructed for the benefit of the mariners, could the passers by see the stones while they were in the sea?
Thank you :). Yes the properties there have always been expensive as it's easy to get to from Glasgow & Ayrshire. The cheaper islands are the less accessible ones such as the smaller Orkney & Shetland islands.
This is the best video I have seen in Aran so well done 😊👍❤️❤️
Wow, thank you!
Lovely video and so informative , thank you 😊
I'm hoping to visit more of the islands this year, this one is definitely on my list ❤

very nice overview, Good balance between detail and the wide landscape vistas.
Thank you :)

Yes I've also been to the Aran islands in Ireland. They are very nice too.

Great video. We loved seeing Arran again. Such a beautiful place to visit

Thank you. It was actually quite hot that weekend. I had glorious weather when I went to the King's Cave.
Love this video

I don't think they can. I couldn't see them from the coastal road or the car park. They are inland about 2km from the coast.
Amazing knowledge and lovely scenery
Fantastic vlog Maureen just discovered your channel hope we will she a lot more of your videos keep up the good work
Thank you. I have plans for next year including visiting some more islands!
Great video. I spent a week on the Isle of Arran at the end of August. Definitely going back.
It's a fabulous island. I always have reasons to go back! I've been 3 times in the last 10 years.
Beautiful video. You deserve more follower and more views. Good luck
Thank you ;)
I did visit Arran for the day on a 2 day trip it is very beautiful I would like to spend a week or two on Arran to do videos and photography.
Like your low key style good luck
Thank you :)
Great vid. I love Arran. I'm currently on Rightmove looking at properties on Arran. The prices are steep. I think bank robbery is my only option.

Please keep going to Arran and video the hostel and cottage s on farms. Thank you . Neil from Newcastle upon Tyne England ❤❤😻😻😃👍
good job. the background music sounds very much like a familiar Christian hymn ,,leaning leaning on Jesus arm,,,,
Thank you. I didn't know that about the music. The choice is quite limited with the music library in TH-cam.
