    Dolly Parton has openly said she’s had work done without giving anyone details for decades now, if other folks want to learn how to discuss it gracefully she’s understood the assignment and showed everyone how it’s done. People still love her so the excuse that you HAVE to keep cosmetic procedures secret in order to be taken seriously is silly.

      That's not true, there's tons of people who criticize and make fun of people who have gotten plastic surgery, and choose to only talk about their surgery as if they're not still more than their bodies, and only refer to them as plastic and fake. Im pretty sure dolly had people doing that to her. Madonna and Cardi b are open about their plastic surgeries and still get heavily mocked.Alot of the same people claim that they would be satisfied if celebrities were just open about their plastic surgeries, will always come up with something negative to say about them and always push the goal post because their just miserable and jealous

      You have to keep in mind tho that Dolly persevered through not being taken seriously by always joking on herself, to include her plastic surgery history. Most people do not have the money, power, platform, or strength to do what she has done. If she weren't famous and beloved for all she does for humanity, I assure you she would receive ridicule for the work she's done. Regardless of all of that, she is one person. She is clearly an exception to the general rule that applies to most people and even celebs.

    It makes me so sad that many times when someone is open about their procedures, people turn against them. Whereas, if a celebrity denies it (even if it's obvious) people defend them and celebrate them. People really make it hard for celebrities to be open and honest which is sad.

    I appreciate Bethany’s statement about how she’s had some help and it’s not all natural. That’s really all we want, is some transparency. I think if Ariana or some of the K-pop girlies, Bella Hadid even, if they just said hey this isn’t natural, I’ve had some work done, it would really make an impact on the girls who are looking up to them thinking that their beauty is all natural and attainable without procedures.

    • @sarahlamphier
      @sarahlamphier ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@frenchgirl5878 I don’t need it to feel good about myself, I’ve never had plastic surgery or felt the need.. It’s for the impressionable minds of children, little girls, that look up to these women and compare themselves to them, thinking that when they grow up or after they “glow up” they’ll look like that. Or if they skip breakfast and lunch or eat like them their bodies will look like that. When the reality is, unless they’re genetically blessed or have hundreds of thousands of dollars to invest into plastic surgery, experimental procedures, treatments and medications, personal trainers, dietitians, personal chefs, etc. they will never look like that. And I’m not saying that these celebrities owe people this. It’s the fact that they deny it, and claim that they’re completely natural. That’s the problem. It’s a transparency issue. It’s an honesty issue.

    All in all, we who don't have money are forced to age naturally, whether we want it or not. We just need to accept ourselves and embrace our looks as we are because majority of people can't afford neither of these treatments. Every single person here, except for the first one, looks soooooo much better in the "before". What young people(even 40ish)don't understand is that plastic surgery is very aging.
    (unless you take Lorry's advice and get just a *little* bit done)

    The girl that got that jaw surgery, you said that was presumably for health reasons? She was gorgeous before so I have no clue what that would be fixing cosmetically.

    What exactly do you mean by “expansion”?
    A couple of my kids have done the orthodontic expanders. I always wondered how it might affect their look down the road. But, it was absolutely necessary as their teeth were coming in stacked behind each other and I didn’t want to pull teeth - so I didn’t think too much about how it would affect looks.

    • @LorryHill
      @LorryHill  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good parenting! What your children had is what I would be getting; just attached to micro implants instead of teeth.

      @@LorryHill thanks - it is good to know this was likely a good choice for them for the longterm!! I don't know a whole lot about teeth/ jaw/ orthodontics.

    Being beautiful is mostly in attitude but if you want to enhance certain features it’s not shameful. Do what makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin.

    I think the secrecy around procedures is for the purpose of hiding attainability. Back in the 90s rarely did you see multiple celebrities that looked the same because they weren’t all going out and getting the same procedures there was something unattainable about their beauty because it was mostly natural with minor enhancements. Now we’ve lost that, I mean look how many Kim Kardashian look alike a there are it’s so easy to have many people look the same because beauty is more manufactured than natural. Celebs don’t want people to know that they had work done because it takes away their “special something” they want to pretend they were born with. There are natural beauties now too but the plastic look is more common now than it used to be imo.

    Hii Lorry!! In a few months I will have done Tesslift threads in the lower face and I was looking in your before videos if you talk about threads and I dont finde😢.. what do you think about them? Is there any risk?❤

    • @LorryHill
      @LorryHill  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don’t personally have experience with threads ; plastic surgeons have spoken of finding threads laying there (undissolved) still in people’s faces when they pull back the skin to do a face lift (threads doing nothing).
