People are getting work done so young…I’m 28 and I don’t think I really grew into my facial features untilI was at least 25. Then all of a sudden my jawline and cheekbones started to come through really nicely. My sister was the same way…she’s 26 and in the last year her cheekbones have looked incredible. It’s a little sad to me that people are altering their appearance before they are done growing.

She looks beautiful but like others it's troubling to watch young women start these surgeries so young and erase their natural features. She has the right to do what she wants but removing the fat and fullness from your face so young could really have adverse effects as you really start to age.

I feel like some of this is almost paranoid prevention. Fillers to prevent looking too gaunt, but also pony tail facelifts to make sure you are taut with no sagging skin. I really wish we had more objective experts in terms of facial aging. Right now so much of it is sales people disguised as doctors or experts selling you something.

I agree. They will certainly regret the buccal fat removal if not anything else. I had chubby cheeks and didn't really get why I started more attractive in my 30's. It was the volume had went down and showed definition. I thought it was just because I slimmed down. My weight had went down in my early 20's but I still had the cheeks. Now I get it! These ladies are going to miss that volume. I had a lot so even in as it went down I looked young. I'm 49 now, I don't have any more buccal fat. People still think I look 35 but boy do I miss that volume.

I think it's predatory plastic surgeons who get in people's heads and grow their normal levels of insecurity into body dysmorphia.
With this young actress it's really sabatoge. She was born with the natural beauty people dream of, get a bunch of work done to mimic, and then try to convince the world it was puberty and they were born special.
She was born that way and they took it away from her. She has the plastic surgery look now, although super beautiful on paper, our eyes can tell and it takes the away the impact she originally had.
She can do what she likes but the fact that she actually wanted to change her original face is proof of an insane amount of pressure in Hollywood. And it really does seem like sabotage to me. They erased her coveted specialness and now she's generic.

I mean girls like you always gotta blame some woman somewhere rather than any males historically for society’s misogyny which literally pre-dates the existences of the women you mentioned, especially if they have the audacity to get work done on themselves and not talk about it nor perpetuate having a certain image like Bella which is just indicative of the envy and or resentment y’all will feel toward women for having the resources to do such things. Bella is the least responsible for what girls are doing or thinking in regards to her when all she’s guilty of is existing. I also believe that too much stock is put on how the Kardashian’s look and that the demands to get them to talk abt the work they’ve had done is ridiculous when y’all already know and just need to b assured that you’re enough as if anyone can make u feel that way. Your insecurities and tendencies to compare yourself which are learned from society need to b unpacked in therapy

@@railsnsx4841 it's an artist who strength is color. It has to due to relative color. Warm blonde can really bring out the orange and yellow in the skin to make them look more tan/sun-kissed. The brown didn't do that instead contrasted the skin to make it look more pale. I personally thing black/darker brown hair can look flat and harder to pull off because of there being less shadows and variety of shades. That why you will see blues being used to exaggerated the contrast in the hair that in real life isn't there.

I just saw a video of Joan Rivers just before she passed knowing she'd be going in for a surgery, she was speaking about the expectations and pressure the industry puts on people in her position. She said in a quiet whispered voice, "you have to look good." I could feel her sadness about wanting so much to take part and have a place in entertaininment but the sadness of the price one has to pay to be a part of it. This demand for painful expensive plastic surgery for a chance at temporary improved aesthetics in the eyes of others would seem to be a requirement, at least for the women. Maybe now the men too. It's one thing for a person to have in their mind a desire to modify say a part of their body through their own mind (which is probably still the result of outward environment) but sad to think of all the talent put through the ringers of surgery just to comply to the demands of their employment and likewise the talent we miss out on who refuse to meet those demands.

Very well put. I often think of the people getting it done as vain and forget that actually they’re just under loads of pressure, which must feel so hard. I know Lorry likes to be diplomatic about it but it does all feel pretty toxic a lot of the time.

    • @CathyS_Bx
      @CathyS_Bx ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@mccolk I didn't see that in her post. But Joan Rivers destroyed her face, imho. Her original, natural face was very small but she overfilled it to the point of weirdness. I enjoyed her comedy and her funny-catty show about fashions but the face was scary.

I see videos of women getting bashed for their weight and appearance here on TH-cam and they are never removed.
But any videos bashing men is immediately removed.
      There's a double standard here.
If men were to get the same pressure that women receive about their appearance then maybe this plastic surgery trend would go away.

I hate how people are starting to act like there is only one way to be beautiful. Everyones getting work done to have the same facial features. Slim angular face, upturned slanted eyes, upturned tiny nose, big lips, v shaped jawline over and over against its getting so ridiculous. Madelyn was so naturally beautiful

I had a full face/cheeks until about age 27/28. They started to go away when I started jogging and exercising. And getting older. Now I struggle with my face looking "bony". Anytime I lose weight, I start looking sick, my cheekbones stick out so far and it ages me a little. So girls, if you think you have chubby cheeks - embrace them!! They make you look like a beautiful, renaissance cherub girl, not fat!!!

    • @Snailmail1

Did you prefer having full cheeks? It’s crazy cuz I feel like nowadays there is an admiration for the hollow cheek and high cheekbone look and it makes me feel like my less prominent cheek bones are not as good

@@Snailmail1 i hear ya - I actually got dermal filler in my cheeks this summer, it made a little difference but yeah, I definitely like the round moon face look as opposed to my long high cheekbone look, but the older I get, the more I am comfortable with how I look. Especially because as women in today's society, there's too much pressure in social media to look perfect and on trend. I was obsessed with looking perfect and I now I just want to be healthy and look like me. If I was rich, I'd probably get lip filler tho. Lol, there always something ya know?

At least these days it seems all the new procedures are subtle and aimed at enhancing appearance but not altering it drastically. Like before cosmetic procedures indicated a change but now it's like you're slightly enhancing yourself, not trying to look different. Like you would with professional makeup and lighting tricks. Which I think is a good thing, people don't really wanna create a new face or body, and they seem to want to keep their unique appearance. Madelyn is the perfect example because honestly, as an amateur who's had no experience with cosmetic surgery, I never would have noticed any of these things, I'd only think she was doing her makeup in different ways. I think it's because she still looks like herself in all of these photos and she's always recongizable.

6:39 i really don’t believe she’s touched her eyes. she’s always had beautifully elongated hooded almond eyes, and while her eyebrows may have changed slightly in thickness, her lid-to-brow space hasn’t changed at all. if you take a closer look, it’s just the makeup. in 2020, towards the center of her eye, the liner was done really thick & heavy. in the 2021 photo it was done thick towards the outer end, but thinner as it gets to the inner corner. this illusion w eyeliner can make hooded eyes look even more hooded. i know this because i have hooded eyes & need to be careful of my liner placement & how thick i make it towards the center/inner corner of my eyes. for reference, her eyes in the 2018 photo look exactly the same as the 2021 one besides how the makeup is done. (i agree her lips, nose, and cheeks have been altered tho)
