That looked simple and easy, thanks for sharing this recipe with us. You all stay safe and keep up the great videos and fun you have preparing then. Fred.
Neal - Can you always mention your flat top griddle IR starting temp when you throw something on (for new viewers) so they know where to start from? I love sauerkraut too - especially on hot dogs! - Cheers!
Cool shirt!! I make crack slaw (gr pork and asian persuasion) and absolutely love it. Quick and easy. Have to try this one. It looks absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing!
I didn't know what a Rueben sandwich was before your channel! It looks like something I'd enjoy. This slaw, I KNOW I'd enjoy, but with extra kraut, as you mentioned. Thanks Neal and Amy for another great video. Given we are coming into Summer, it's something I'm really keen to try.
This is the best low carb recipe I've seen in ages. You may be onto something with making croutons though. It would still be less carbs than a full sandwich, and that crunchiness on top would be a tasty addition😊
I just started the Video and thank you for the addition of the caraway seeds, that’s the flavor that I miss from a Reuben but being on keto I can’t have the bread. But I do say that for all of us German immigrants that grew up eating sauerkraut that not enough sauerkraut to slaw, it needs more
That cook is spot on. Any thoughts on doing a chopped ham, or bologna, or spam sandwich? Just cube the meats and cook them on a griddle with onions (opt) and add lettuce tomato, cheese, or whatever.
Yes. Yes. And more Yes. I was initially thinking. "Hmmm, needs horseradish, large ground pepper, red wine vinegar" , but after seeing the final product, pretty sure I will do it exactly the same.
Totally off topic. Looking to replace my 36” black stone. Remember on your camp chef video a few months back about a head to head with Weber camp chef and I believe trager. Did I miss that video. If not. Is it coming soon.
I love a reuben. Corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, what's not to love? Thousand island dressing. Can't stand it. That's why I use horseradish sauce instead. If you haven't tried this yet, I encourage you to. You can thank me later.
@@Goodnitetx I wouldn’t say that… I have 7 griddles. It’s extremely hard to use different ones all the time. I just recently switched to my Weber again. Being a table top and a full roller makes it hard as well. When filming my other channel Pellets and Pits … I need that table this would sit on. This is more for a built in. Extremely heavy and hard to just more often. That being said… I don’t have experience with other stainless brands on the same category. I wasn’t that impressed but not disappointed… kinda thing.
@@vetlager4765 Definitely in English! If you watched on your TV check your settings because someone else mentioned on the TV it was in German or something, but was OK on their other device.
I am sorry maybe I just run against the grain but you cannot call that a Reuben in anything. A Reuben is corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing on rye bread. I agree with a pastrami Ruben but pastrami is just corned beef that has been smoked with extra seasoning on the outside. Just call it something else, but it looks great.👍
I DO love a Reuben, especially the "...greasy, fried in butter on the griddle...", as you so aptly put it! But this looked absolutely delicious! And I have to agree with @michaelshuman3319's comment that the slice of rye bread on the side was a great touch! Nicely done...
Like the recipe, this is a good work up on the griddle and a great meal. We love kraut!!

Awesome idea Neal! Looked great , thanks for the idea! Cheers brother 🍻

Glad you like the slaw, I'm with you on the kraut!
That looks great. We love Ruben’s also. Great creation. GBO.

That looks delicious!
Right?! It’s pretty darn good.
I love sauerkraut. awesome recipe!
LOVE IT!!!
Great idea! Thank you :)
Glad you like it!
I bet this would make a delicious Philly style reuben!
Now that's a great idea!
I love a Reuben in any form! One regret I have in life is not going to Katz Deli when I was in NY a few years ago.

You’re right, sauerkraut is the star of the show! i think i mentioned that I thought it needed more...
@ yes you did but after I made the comment lol
Boss, all the cool kids like sauerkraut. Looks like a great dish. Good idea.
Damn that looks good 👍
Yummy yummy!!!
And a slice of Rye bread on the side ..
hahaha We mentioned that....

Absolutely
Damnit boy!! That looks amazing!!
Yum!
You have to have the grilled rye bread
Neal , Have you ever thought about using dry mustard seed in your sandwich
Millie mustard look it up
I have...not as often as I would like...but absolutely
Yes. Yes. And more Yes. I was initially thinking. "Hmmm, needs horseradish, large ground pepper, red wine vinegar" , but after seeing the final product, pretty sure I will do it exactly the same.
I would have put more kraut...just me...

I tried to watch this last night on our Tv and it was dubbed in Spanish. lol. On my phone it's normal.
Oh wow! That’s so weird! Just watched again..definitely in English on my end....

Same Thousand Island revulsion. I do Mustard instead though. I should try horseradish
It looks delicious but it’s about 1000 islands short of a Reuben
Yippee, getting back to low carb?
I wouldnt say that...but we definitely watch what we eat off camera
Can't help but notice you don't use the le griddle anymore. Having regrets getting it?

Did you turn Japanese?
??
@ your video is not in English
@ definitely in English…

Why am I hearing the Spanish version?? Idk what I did wrong lol
Something todo with TH-cams new feature...I need to not allow other languages...

It really does make a huge difference!
