      I saw don frye in Phoenix a few years back. We both were running in each others direction and as we were approaching each other we made eye contact and let me tell you that his stare is absolutely intimidating. Not 1 word just a stare! He looked like he would eat me alive and that's the day I became a man. I I instantly grew hair and my voice deeper

      @@joeblack7660 frye is not being fair. tank got worsham in the 1st round but he would have had to fight ken shamrock in the 2nd round if ken would not have broken his hand in his 1st fight. tank got lucky but so did don because kimo (not a brazilian) was injured also in his 1st round win. i think watching the video of frye vs. mark hall it's pretty clear the fight was fixed.

I loved to compete in contact sports in my late teens and 20s but earning very little money I had a very blessed career as a commercial fisherman..in it's own way a life of a very few people..I saw that ultimate ultimate 96. For the first time I can say first hand that was when men were men and women were women and new the Frazee ride or die the generation that grew up in the 80. Well let me say..THE LAST OF THE V EIGHTS..Really hate to say it but you're never going to sea men like that again. I was there thank you God

      I met dan and ken shamrock at a wrestling event in Australia a few years ago thay both wrestled and spent over an hour with the fan after the show doing selfies and signing autographs actually got a few minutes with ken and just talked about wrestling highlight of my life

    I feel blessed to have been around for the birth of ufc. To watch these legends fight live in real time was amazing. The tournaments were so exciting. I wish they could do one night tournaments agian. Its been a fun ride to watch the fighters and the sport evolve over the years.

      He claims he ran three marathons. I call BS on that. We've all seen him gasp for air in his later fights sometimes within one minute. I like Tank though post surgery. He seems to have humbled a bit.

    Tank was paid to come to a dealership here in Las Vegas for a meet and greet that I worked for. His request was to have 2 cases of beer and as he signed autographs he sat there getting a buzz on and enjoyed his day talking to fans. It was a month before his fight against Cabbage. Tank was a great guy to shoot the shit with..Awesome guy..
    Then in addition at another dealership I had the honor to meet Baz Ruten ,And a couple other fighters that I could t remember but Baz was a nice guy and very humble.

    The first time I saw the original UFC 1, I was 30 years old and remember thinking I didn't know humans could be so savage and so tough. Back in those days they could head butt. These guys were some of the baddest guys on the planet, the scary thing is some of these guys looked like an average joe on the street until the cage door closed and their inner beast came out.

    Don Fry was supposed to fight Kimo who had to pull out because of the brutal fight before over 10 minutes long. By the way both Tank & Fry said Haku was a legit tuff guy. Fry even said he was freightning & a scary human being.

    I saw don frye in Phoenix a few years back. We both were running towards each other in each others direction and as we were approaching each other we made eye contact and let me tell you that his stare is absolutely intimidating. Not 1 word just a stare! He looked like he meant business and that's the day I became a man.

    Tank was a fighter who barely trained, would drink heavily before a fight and typically gassed out after 90 seconds. Yet I'm supposed to believe Pat's "story" that Tank ran 3 blocks to the hotel to get away from him? That's the most highly unlikely shit ever. Even if it did happen that way, the fact Pat got outran by Tank Fuckin Abbott's hilarious.

    Man how i wish to go back in time in the early 90s and mid 90s to see Abbott, Frye, Coleman, Severn, Gracies, and the Shamrocks, to see them all fight again man those were some of the bloodiest and gruesome fights you would ever see.

    I met Colman at the UFC in new orleans in 98 or 99. the one that Frank Shamrock ko'd igor with a slam. talk to Coleman for a few minutes. very nice guy. i asked him about Don Frye and he said thats a tough SOB.

    Dan Severn seems like such a kind cuddly uncle at a church bake sale! Unbelievable! I remember him as even more frightening than Don Frye back in the day. He was stone cold, imposing, menacing. But I remember admiring him for never fighting dirty, which would’ve benefited him more on many occasions. So now I know that inside he’s such a cuddly quirky uncle.

    I was at a restaurant in Huntington Beach that Dan Severn was at (years ago), dude was just large. Head, hands, bones, just a big tough looking dude, I combined that with my knowledge of his history and he was one scary sob.
