The moment I saw that guitar I was like "He's still working on that one song isn't he?" 😂 One day we'll see a finished product of this soon-to-be masterpiece!
just from you mouthing it "The Slow Decay" immediately started playing in my head, which is a song i haven't heard in years. happens to me all the damn time.. get an idea, then have to cross-reference my brain-library to make sure I'm not ripping anything too much.. but fits perfectly in context, so then have to find a way to differentiate it enough to cover my tracks LOL.. then I change it so much that it births a bunch of other ideas to come after/layer on-top, and then I start questioning if it's even still the best riff for the song I was originally working on.. before I know it, I've started working on 2-3 other songs/ideas, and am completely disconnected from the original.
Since you started the first riff I knew this was a keeper as a song. So stoked you are still adding to the initial riff and becomes even more greater of a song🤘
Man I still don’t understand how you only have as many subscribers as you do. Absolutely sick riffs and informative as always. All we’re missing is that spicy water cameo and we’re there Nick
As a songwriter I totally relate to this, when I was trying to write a riff I didn’t know what to do so I just went to bed but there was just one idea that was constantly playing in my head and I was like “Ok, I gotta use that.”
I judge a guitar video by how bad I want to pick up the guitar. I’m done playing now and needed to comment. Congrats on extracting your imagination. It’s only just begun for you now.
hey, i see your shorts quite abit and stumbled on your channel. can you go over your recording set up? i want to specifically know how you do the drums, i can never really get that kind of sound you have here.
Nick I'm so sorry, for the first time in months I'm watching a TRT on... a Friday! I've failed nooooooooooooooo Jkjk br0ther, keep it up love this series so much!
I find songs/riffs that come together easy are usually my best by far. Things that don't have anywhere to go, or are hard to figure out exactly right are usually just meh.
It's kind of strange, I can hear what I would play on drums to this in my head, and it's so different from what you played lol. Sounds sick tho. Great episode as always! :)
all they have is just bow-nuh bow-duh-da-dow we-donna-wow-nee-nah
veil of maya moment

If you let that ambient run out as a bridge and then pick up again you got a great bridge

Also is this song going to be on spotify? It's killer
Deserved to be its own song.
Simply awesome
Would be cool to hear your take on the F1 theme song, especially a metal/djenty version
Ohhh I'd love to hear that, it has the potential to sound massive

You deserve more subs
I expect you've often been told you remind people of Hughie from The Boys.
That's a new one actually. Usually it's Bill Hader or Elijah Wood
🤩🤩🤩
so uh...when's this getting finished young nick?
I was starting to worry there wouldn’t be an episode today 💔 Don’t scare us like that!
Whats the drum plugin?
Nick uses ggd Pv kit and modern & massive kit mostly
What daw are you using?
Logic Pro X!
What if I don’t have any riffs in my head? 😢
Use your 🙌 imagination 🙌
i never clicked on a video so fast
Essentially, conceive a riff, create a voice note to ensure you do not forget it, and then proceed to record it.
pretty much

I feel like most of my best songs are ones that I end up finishing in a single afternoon
