As a high school kid who wants to be a film director, and is also a Christian, I have an insane appreciation for this series. Yo same. We're literally the same person. I'm in highschool right now who is dreaming day by day to become a professional director to make good Christian based films. I'm in 10th grade. My plan is to make a Bible Cinematic series from the Beginning of Time till Revelations. And who knows, maybe my studio will team up with The Chosen and make their series connected with mine.

I was thinking about a show like the Chosen but about Paul like a week ago, then realized it wouldn’t be prime entertainment since he was stuck in jail half the time, lol. It’d still be cool to do one day. Glad to know I’m not the only one out there!
This set would be the COOLEST to walk through.

@@leighgasp It was really cool. You could really feel the spirit of God on the set. The set even has Olive trees a few hundred yards away to be the Garden of Gethsemane.

It's going to be so hard to watch the crucifixion.I know I'm going to cry. I already adore this man who plays Jesus..He's got such a geniuneness, warm and humble personality that comes across the screen as if you have met him in person...I have this feeling when he does comes time to act out the most difficult parts,like the whipping and Jesus being crucified,he's going to weep himself.
As is the entire world I think that know Jesus and this beautiful cast.
Why?, Jonathan already filmed it on "The two thieves" with the guy who played Moses on this series.
Besides, it isn't real and I doubt anything would come close to The Passion. Is way harder to watch Shmuel schmuck around until he gets pressed and becomes a scary Tyrant, like in his last scene with Nicodemus on Season 1. Although when I second think about that, Schmuel's attitude and the crucifixion do go hand in hand don't they?
@@einarabelc5 yes he did already do the crucifixion, but this is a whole different ball of wax. I watched an interview between him and Dallas and they talked about it. If you haven’t seen it, it’s on the app under “deep dives”. A wonderful exchange between the two.
The Passion was amazing to be sure and I remember when everyone left the theater it was quiet. No one was talking. A unique thing to happen after a movie let out.
I think you are right, it is going to be so emotional for me too, this will be different from passion of the Christ, cos this seems to be more intentional towards salvation of souls.
Agree, those scenes will be so hard for me, I’ve become very emotionally connected to this Jesus

I’ve watched season 1 and so excited to see season 2 as well!! I can just imagine this being dubbed or captioned in Korean language, too! It would truly be great to have my children who only speak Korean, to be able to watch it.😍

God bless you all. We live in Sheffield, England, UK and I can honestly say that ‘The Chosen’ has breathed new life into the love that my wife and I have for Jesus. It’s caused us to read the Bible more, brought us to our knees in prayer and we have become real advocates of the show. Bless you all for this. The acting, soundtrack and filming is also second to none. Thank you a million times over for pursuing this dream.
Everything about this series is FIRST RATE. From the set design, to the costumes, to the PHENOMENAL actors, the writers, production crew, etc. etc. etc...It makes us feel as if we are THERE! Immersed in the first century, experiencing it first hand. An amazing feat in itself. MANY thanks to Dallas--and to all involved.
My prayers are for this series to become a global phenomenon.
You guys are such a blessing to the world! Thank each and every one of you for your sacrifice, dedication and commitment to telling the world THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS!

I would like to extend a personal Thank You to the crew, the production company as well as the actors. This show has had a significant impact on myself and my husband who has been struggling with alcohol. We binged watched the whole first season and he cried through the whole thing, I believe it had a MAJOR impact as he's been in a much better place since we watched it at Christmas time (we've watched it again since) and cannot WAIT for season 2!! You are SO right when you say it's impacting lives!!

I remember when I was looking for a Bible story to watch and couldn't find what I was looking for, then out of no where I found "The Choosen" and I was in shock cause it said "free" I watched the whole season one, now more than once. Truly inspiring! I feel bad cause I want so much to pay it forward and maybe some day I'll be able to. I hope so 🙏 I can share and try to do things like that to help, for now. Im from nepal and I'm really impressed by the efford of the choosen team . Its really a complete different and realistic perspective on jesus story. I loved the different perspective of son of god movie before but the choosen is really higher than other movie since i watched. Thanks for your effort. God bless you all. Please don't stop.

The Chosen just really is a blessing. It just gives you so much hope and faith. The other day I was just thinking and just saddened about the fact that its so hard for born again Christians to become actors without entering an environment where almost everything goes against The Bible. projects like these are just a blessing from the Lord and I know that He will make a way for those who seek Him. Knowing that The Chosen has been done in the face of a CoVID-19 pandemic is already impressive. Furthermore, the authenticity of the diverse actors who continue to portray their characters in flesh, the texture of the props from thousands of years ago, the stress-free relationship between and among the actors, and the exquisite hidden figures all contribute to the show's charm. I enjoy and appreciate each episode because you provide us with the other viewpoint while maintaining the integrity of Scripture. Overall, KUDOS for putting on such a show for us.

I can't wait for season 2! This has brought the gospels to life for me. Puts a real life human feel to everything. Makes me really think of things differently. It's made me connect to the human side and spiritual side of it all. There's not such the disconnect any longer.
