We took our son to Hershey when he was 8 he's 31 now and still talks about it. Lol. The memories your making is life long. I love when you plug in old footage. Thanks for sharing.
I relate to your message about set-up and tear-down, prepping to move, moving, navigating narrow roads, and the relief that comes with staying put for a few days. I really like your videos and appreciate being able to armchair travel with you. Love it and live it!!
JJ made me LOL in the chocolate factory. He became obsessed! Haven’t we all. He is so fun to watch as he gets more verbal. You have a great family. Thanks for sharing.
If you're still in Hershey check out the Milton Hershey School. Before covid they used to do tours around the school and explain what the school does. I'm not sure if they still do tours but it's really cool! My kids graduated from that school. They take less fortunate children and provide everything for them. It has 7 farms. Once they find out that a child is interested in helping animals they put them on one of the farms. They have an ice skating rink, like 8 pools, And each child has an opportunity to graduate with $85,000 scholarship for college. Which my kids are taking advantage of right now. Milton and Katherine Hershey couldn't have children so they started adopting children and a grew into the school that it is now. So each kid that graduates from that school is an heir to Mr and Mrs Hershey and kind of like a part owner of the Hershey Park and the Hershey factory, etc.
When I was in high school , our home ecclass showed us a film strip that showed us the Hershey factory, & I was in love with Hershey chocolate 🍫from that moment
OMG! That JJ just has so much energy and if I haven't been watching you for so long, I would think it was all the chocolate. He is so cool! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
I totally agree- moving all the time is exhausting. I can’t wait to get to Florida and stay put for 6 months. Love watching your kids enjoy all the new adventures. JJ was so cute in the chocolate factory. Hopefully no one got sick eating that humongous chocolate bar! 😊
Nice you have the Rv trip wizard. Those look nice to use to help you navigate. Nice you are staying at Hershey Park Campground Resort. And you went to the chocolate factory. Yummy Hershey’s chocolate. When I think of chocolate I think of s’mores. Lol! Chocolate is my down fall. Lol!
This episode brought a smile to my face. I went to the Hershey RV show last year and stayed an extra week to enjoy the area. I ate at that same restaurant. The people were wonderful and the food delicious. I also enjoyed the tours at Chocolate World and loved making my own candy bar. You'll have to go back and take the kids to Hersheypark. The rides were great.
I have lived about an hour and fifteen minutes from Hershey all my life, it’s a wonderful place to visit and the park is great. When we were kids my parents would but a family pass for the season and we would go all the time. I can remember being old enough to drive and my sister and I were both working. We would finish up work in the afternoon, drive to the park and stay until closing and drive home again, get up the next day and do it all over again. Wonderful memories!
That was so nice that JJ got to have fries when they said they didn’t have any. Yummy crepes. Sad you couldn’t use the shuttle bus to go to the amusement park.
We enjoy being a part of your family adventures week after week. We have grandkids the same ages as Hensley and JJ so we get a kick out watching them grow up right before our eyes. Beautiful family! God bless you all! 🫶 Rhonda and Stan
I used to teach kindergarten and taught my students to make hearts by making a lower-case "m" without the line and then put a "v" on the bottom.😊 I think Hensley made an awesome heart!!!
Oh and have you guys done the Herr's chip factory tour? That's pretty neat too. They have a beautiful free Christmas lights tour starting after Thanksgiving as well
You guys have me do except to start traveling. Our one issue is our Husky is 6 and he is a big talker. Do you hear a lot of dogs in the parks. I can just imagine we would be kicked out before midnight. Lol 😂
Just want to express my gratitude for all that you share on your channel. What a wonderful way to raise a family. So happy you were able to visit our hometown! Born and raised in Hershey, my father and his extended family owned land that now houses the Reese plant that makes those Reeses Peanut butter cups and KitKat bars. My great-grandfather operated a mill that was on the creek very near the new Candimonium Coaster in HersheyPark. The Hershey Campground is a stones throw from our present home on Swatara Creek. Please continue doing what you do, you are a blessing to us all! Be well and enjoy the moment!
Just love Hensley's hard to contain excitement with that huge Hershey bar to surprise her Mom! Your kids' joy makes my heart sing! So pure...brings me to happy tears so often-just like Marissa's joy of climbing Half Dome-another favorite vlog!
As a registered chocoholic........I LOVED the Hershey Factory. I was like a kid in a candy store and I was almost 70 years old. Loved it!!! Something comparable is the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, California. Next time y'all are in CA, you need to put it on your bucket list. It is great experience.
Love that area. I have many relatives that live there. We live closer to Philly and NJ. Also about 90 minutes from the Pocono Mountains. Surprised you didn’t hit all those great areas.
Hi thanks for sharing we actually live on east coast in Bath PA. WE ARE GOING TO HERSHEY CAMPGROUND WEEKENd of 11/13. For hershep park sweet lights unfortunately we are already winterized. So we are usin only our black tank. And showers at campground facilities?🤪😂. Love to hear about harvest host/boondocker welcome. We are members. Have use harvest host and we are going to use boondoers welcome next year. We have trip scheduled in April for Disney ft wilderness and plan on stopping in South Carolina at a farm. Cannot wait!! Hopefully will run into you guys somewhere along our travels!!
oh my heavens you are in one of my favorite places .. we usually go there every summer , haven't made it there this year ... The zoo is is awesome zoo too its on the backside of The Hershey experience ... and we have stayed at the campground you were at the second time !!!!!! and kinda a fun fact when I was in 4th maybe 5th grade we went thru the factory when it used to be the actual factory you could tour ... was so awesome
I was at the Hershey RV Show a couple of years ago when I was shopping for a rig. I've since bought one but I really want get back there and see the chocolate factory, maybe take the grand kids. Sounds like you're having fun. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.
At least you only had the deer and turkeys to deal with in the last few miles to Virginia Landing. You could have weathered the storm there. It was the storm we had 3 days after Ian that produced the worse weather.
Oh how fun thanks for sharing! I remember gong to the hershy factory and amusement park when I was 8 or 10 years with my grandparents! And amazing adventures summer! And now..I am now a chocoltier at the San Francisco Chocolate Factory in Phoenix Arizona 🤣 talk about full circle! Wow, I think my grandmother in heaven is proud ❤ thanks for bringing back my memories and reminding me of a very special time in my life, with your alls Journey.
My niece had twin girls, and feeds them organically! She and her husband do not give their twins sugar! Only on rare occasions do they get those types of items! As an Grand Aunt, I now know to never give my baby twin girls sugar ever again! Their father is a Soccer couch p/t, and works for Discover Channel, and my niece is a yoga instructor, as well as employed with Discover Channel! They eat things that are healthy an low in fat and sugar! The girls love Tofu taco's, as well as fruit, avocado's!
Please! When I leave for Florida you show up in PA! So what TT campgrounds is your favorite and why? Do you have the trails collection? I can’t wait till I meet up with y’all one day!
Always wanted to go to Pennsylvania and to Hershey. I understand it’s a beautiful state. I find it amazing that Hershey basically built an entire town for his employees. Too bad he made two huge mistakes that helped catapult Mars to be the largest confectionary in the world. I guess it’s good for us as we have a large selection of candy bars, but LJMJ has one very large Hershey bar! Wonder if they’ll eventually finish it off?
That was a fun video for your family and friends. I've been to Hershey World several times and each time I am drawn to that 5-pound bar, but never got one. Now that I've hit the 73 age bracket I really don't need it, but I still want one so I can check that bucket-list item once and for all. How was the parking experience at the Hershey Campground? It looked a little tight to maneuver into and we have a similarly sized RV (42 ft) as you do and were thinking about planning for that trip next year.
We've only been on the road a year and a half BUT today you went somewhere we've already been and the kids were so excited :) Thanks for sharing your journey And my 15 year old would like to know if your kids are allowed to stay in their pajamas all day? :)
JJ with the animals! ❤❤ you should let us know how long it takes your family to get through the 5lb chocolate! 😆 seeing you and The Flipping Nomad navigate through the east coast makes me SO GLAD my 5th wheel is 30’ and only 12’ high. My home base is in MA and I-95 is my typical work travel territory. Not the least expensive way to Full Time. 🤷🏼♀️
i was very confused by you saying KitKat is made by Hersheys as here they are a Nestle product. looking into it it seems hersheys have some sort of license agreement which allows them to make their own version of KitKat. in the us you guys have a completely different chocolate which i assume makes kitkats taste very different over there than the rest of the world. little fact for the world.
I do construction. I have a customer whose great grandfather was the man who loaned the man who started the Herseys empire $5000 to start that business. The banks wouldn't loan him the money.
I worked in a Hershey Chocolate Factory in Pennsburg, Pa. There are factories all over that produce different types of their products. We made the Pot of Gold gift boxes as well a plant in Canada. Welcome to the northeast. You are in my backyard. The fall foliage is beautiful right now .

Thank you so much.

Since you are heading west you should check out Santa Claus Indiana. They have a campground called Camp Rudolph
Hershey looked like a really fun outing!
It was great fun.

Love JJ excitement with the Hershey's chocolate and the animals. Looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for sharing ❤❤🇬🇧
Love Hershey PA. The smell is to die for. Lol.
Love the Hershey and Lancaster County area of PA. You passed through Lancaster County on your way down into Delaware which is my home state.

Give Carlisle PA a visit -- they have the War College, yes, but they also have the Lindt Outlet Store!!
I’d love to go visit Hershey some day! I’ve heard that the air even smells sweet. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching.
How did I miss another meet up?! Geesh. Been watching since Hensley was a baby ! Waving hi from Lancaster!
We don't know if you follow us on Instagram or Facebook but if you do that might help keep more in touch.
@@LessJunkMoreJourney I'll go do that now! Hardly on social media much but I'll try to make sure I'm at least keeping up with you guys!!

We took the trolley tour a few years ago, and we loved it. It is very interesting and informative.

I was in Hershey when I was about 12. It’s been a long time ago. Thanks for sharing. Your children are absolutely adorable
Thank you.
Sorry you couldn't get to Hershey Park...I used to work their in the summers during college. I grew up just outside Hershey.
Omg, you were in Delaware! That's where I live. In the northern part though. So glad you had a good experience!
Love that area. I have many relatives that live there. We live closer to Philly and NJ. Also about 90 minutes from the Pocono Mountains. Surprised you didn’t hit all those great areas.
We have and we will again. 😀
You stayed at the Hersheypark Camping Resort where my dad works 🙂!! You may have seen him riding around on his golf cart!!
Awesome, we probably did.
Such a fun video. Wasn't Milton Hershey an extraordinary man.
We learned so many great stories.
sad I missed you on your way thru Maryland and Delaware!
Really enjoyed the kids energy on this one! 🖖🏻😘👍🏻🙏🏻

Yes and yes. We love National and State parks.
JJ and The Chocolate Factory. Watch out for the Oompa Loompas.
Can you please tell me what kind of box you stored your Starlink in - looks like it fits perfectly. We just ordered one.
It’s the plastic portion of the box the starlink comes in. You should be good to go :)
I want that candy 🍬 bar
Know what you mean about being tired. I work 60 hours a week. Times are crazy...

One place I recommend is Wilber chocolate. It’s in Lititz, Pa.
I second that!! Lititz is a lovely small town and the Wolf Sanctuary is so worth the trip!!

I visited the Hershey factory in 1972...it did not look like that😂 But it was fun! The huge candy bar though!

it was a little tight but fine.
We loved Hershey. We stayed at that same Thousand Trails also. We are considering joining Harvest Host.
We absolutely love it! We find it really helpful. Our code offers a percentage off if you find that helpful. We use ours all the time.
What thousand trails membership do you have?
I love Hershey. We go there a couple times a year. Always a fun day. Can’t wait to see how long it takes you to eat all that chocolate. 😂
An embarrassing amount of time. Like 4 days haha.
There seems to be a shortage of dark chocolate available on the store shelves of late. Wondering if this is also the case in Hershey PA?
Not that we noticed.
We've only been on the road a year and a half BUT today you went somewhere we've already been and the kids were so excited :) Thanks for sharing your journey
And my 15 year old would like to know if your kids are allowed to stay in their pajamas all day? :)
Our kids get to often pick what they wear but not pajamas all day. 😀
How do you tow a fifth wheel with a short bed? I was always told that you can't do that.
We use a slider hitch, no problem.
Can’t seem to find the RV trip wizard. Can you share a link?
Here you go.

Hey from San Antonio
Hello Georgeana!
i was very confused by you saying KitKat is made by Hersheys as here they are a Nestle product. looking into it it seems hersheys have some sort of license agreement which allows them to make their own version of KitKat. in the us you guys have a completely different chocolate which i assume makes kitkats taste very different over there than the rest of the world. little fact for the world.
Lol,Jj, you’re so cute!
Waiting for the Disney world redux.
Did you go down the stairs without tying your shoes? My brother-in-law did that was a huge mistake. Fell down his basement steps and broke his ribs.
Your kiddos have figured out your dad jokes! Now what?😂
😂
I do construction. I have a customer whose great grandfather was the man who loaned the man who started the Herseys empire $5000 to start that business. The banks wouldn't loan him the money.
That is so cool.
So…….how long were Hensley and JJ amped up from all of that chocolate? 🤪🤪. We think everyone is going to have the chocolate DTs after all of that. 😂😂
Why a crepe restaurant
Why not. 😀
Did you know Hershey moved their
factory to Mexico when did they come back to the United States because they didn’t move to Mexico
I worked in a Hershey Chocolate Factory in Pennsburg, Pa. There are factories all over that produce different types of their products. We made the Pot of Gold gift boxes as well a plant in Canada. no we did not have that experience.
