So, I personally have lived on a llama farm. Llamas can be trained just like a dog can be. It is amazing how smart these animals are. The do not spit without warning most of the time and they do not do so without reason, just like a dog will bite. The warning is when they tilt their head back and pull their ears back. The llamas on the farm were trained for show. Honestly llamas are just naturally curious and will "inspect" anything and anyone. They are also very protective of their field mates. A lot of farmers will put them in the field with sheep and such because a llama will duck their head and walk toward something that isn't suppose to be there. Most times that will cause foxes and coyotes to run away. You also can use the hair (fur) for making yarn, clothes, blankets and so much more. I personally love llamas and really hope the little one gets over being scared of them.
I am so glad you guys didn't Stop RVing I Love all of you it is so cute to see all you do with your children and to watch you two Thank You and God Bless You All.
It's so funny that you guys made a video about when you started off.... because I have just started a rewatch of your videos. Season 1, 'Can you say Texas?" I love when y'all end up at the park in the rain, and you're the only ones there. Or later when y'all ride 45 mins in the wrong direction, on a trolley car. I love that you showed your ups and downs. Thank you again, for sharing your lives with us. I have loved watching Hensley grow, and now JJ. ❤️ As a mom of a 30 year old, it's fun to watch your kids grow up. And it's nice to see, that normal stuff happens and it doesn't break you. Safe travels, stay blessed.
Stop it!!! My better half and I almost didn’t make it through the video! We laughed until we had tears about the llamas! Sorry JJ is having nightmares but that llama clip was hilarious! 😂😂
I am so glad JJ over came his fears. I can understand why you both had fears while in your first Rv. I would too! I was in fear of camping myself in my brother-in-laws popup when it rained we rocked and swayed with the wind and rain but we never tipped over thank goodness. He had a travel trailer pryer to that and it was fine in the wind and rain.
I completely understand that feeling of is this to us! We started our adventure on the 28th of October 2022 with our class A an we left Pennsylvania heading to Florida. In Wilson NC we blew the water pump! Got to the off ramp of rt 95 an sat there till morning. Finally found someone to help us! We made it to Walmart parking lot, waited till Sunday an the guy backed out on us!!!! We finally found a water pump, an a place to get it put on an Tuesday they towed us to Petro an the TA put it on an we were back on the road! But I wanted to give up!!! I wanted to go home! But we made it to Fl and enjoying the days thus far! I hope you have 20 more yrs of traveling ahead of y’all!
Hi!!! This is so interesting!!! I Love Jellystone. I have a seasonal in NY like 30 min from my house!!! I absolutely love it. I get to take my grandson who is now 7 for the summers. There is so much to do! Actually almost too much! Thank God my middle daughter comes most weekends and takes him to all the activities! Plus my 75 year old mom comes. It’s Great. She’s never driven before and now keeps the keys to our golf cart in her bag and takes James everywhere. It’s hysterical. We bought a new travel trailer end of last season so it’s gonna be fun putting personal touches in it and having more space. I hope to see you guys somewhere out and about in this beautiful country. We plan on taking a few trips with it and eventually packing up with no date to have to be home on! Love your videos and your family. Safe travels to all of you!!!🎉❤
Hey guys we also love the Yogi bear campgrounds. We went to the two parks in Wisconsin we've since then moved to Idaho and our children have grown up and we now have grandchildren but some of our best memories in our popup camper in Yogi bear. Glad you pursued on and enjoy the journey.
I gave my daughter a spray bottle with water and lavender and other calming oil scents. I called it monster spray. She could spray it and smell it and it put her in charge of feeling safe.
Been watching so long and have seen the growth since the first 5th wheel, i think anyway cuz i remember u guys ruminating on getting that class A- WOW.....just started fulltiming and have hopes of travel nursing/30yrs as a nurse.....anyhow-y'all are my favs, always have been, always will be!!!- LOVE TO THE MOSS FAM
That was either deceitful or unknowing of that couple. How unfortunate for you. Glad you met nice folks in your time of need. We really do enjoy your journey. 🇨🇦
I’m glad you guys decided to pursue your dream of full-time RV living so we can enjoy the country through your eyes! My first RV was a gently used Class A. First time taking it out, we got on the freeway and traveled maybe 10 miles and got a flat tire. Called a roadside RV service that brought and installed a new tire for a ridiculous price. We drove another maybe 5 miles and another tire blew out, this time tearing out the black tank, which had been used more than a few times. So, I call the same roadside RV service and requested they bring 5 of the same tires they just installed 10 minutes ago, as I didn’t want to take the chance of another blowout with my family and friends in the RV. So 8 hours later, the tires were installed at a substantial price, but we were finally able to get to our destination. The tires were rotted out as the prior owner rarely used the RV, and did nothing to protect the tires. If I inspected the tires, I likely would have noticed the cracks in the sidewalls, but at that time, I didn’t even think about inspecting the tires as I never had tires rot before. Lesson learned!
I’m reminded of the story in the beginning there was nothing. Void and darkness covered the earth. Then God said let there be light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better. Like the earth, look at how far you have come. Your family is such an inspiration to start in darkness, but oh the blessing of light you have given the world. Thank you for sharing your incredible story. Love you guys.
My heart went out to you. You can’t imagine how people sleep at night, taking advantage of you all the way they did. We love your videos. Glad you didn’t give up. Continued safe travels!
Wow! What you both endured first time rving. Glad you got the Rv fixed but sorry you had to keep going back and forth to Tennessee, and North Carolina to get the Rv fixed.
Oh my goodness Nathan got me with the “I’m going to be a financial failure for my family”🥹I love that you guys share your journey with us. The good, the bad, and the ugly❤️
I love hearing how people start out…all the scary memories & the good times. Keep on making those memories & sharing them with us. We are living it with you!!
Such a sweet memory, even though at the time it must have felt like a nightmare!! And a hurricane to boot😳 I think kids are always afraid of something. I don't know if I was afraid of anything at JJ's age, but boy at Hensley's age I was afraid of the opening credits of Rifleman😂 I'm totally dating myself! Ha!
Oh my goodness thank you for sharing your story!! The vision vs. Reality is so true and it's both more chaotic and wonderful than you expect lol. So glad you guys stuck with it through the chaos. Your maturity and joy really shows!! Thank you again for paving the way and allowing others to join your journey!! We adore you guys!!
What a beautiful story and they editing on this video is amazing. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe, safe travels, and God bless love ya Nancy
Our first 5th Wheel we purchased I thought we had did a good job inspecting it. We had it on our land for 3 yrs. before we decided to take our first trip from WI to OK. Half way through the trip the fiberglass on the passenger side of the hump started peeling off the rig. We stopped at a truck stop and ducted tape it. When we got to OK we went to a hardware store and purchase some liquid nails and fixed the problem. Turns out sometime from the date of purchase and within the 3 yrs we had hail damage to the roof. It was a tiny hole not even visible by the naked eye that had been leaking. We had paid alot of money for our 5th Wheel and were discouraged from traveling with it but we didn't let that stop us. I am glad you over came your fear and didn't let it discourage you either. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Please keep these kind of video coming. WE SET A DATE and it’s 2 years away still and I am getting scared already. This is encouraging for me that there is good and bad and everything will work out with some work.
Man Nathan and Marissa, after this weekend this video hit us hard! We are having the same thoughts that you were having. Especially since we left our RV at the shop in Chattanooga and came back to our place here in Whitleyville. There are so many unknowns at this time and things are scary. This video gives us a little bit of hope and encouragement.
We have had so many thing go wrong over the years. We were sold a truck with the no suspension, our water leaked RV, the list goes on. The thing we remember is the adventures are worth it.
Been watching almost since the start and was so awesome to hangout with you guys in Grand Teton after the solar eclipse (I even made it into the video after that) in that amazing camping area. I remember how much Hensley loved walking my dogs...special memories. I started watching you guys as I knew i was moving into an RV in 2017 but then in 2018 I moved to the UK after only 1 yr of RV living...it was a sad moment but also important to be with family as they got older and to make those memories before they were gone. Anyway, if you ever make it to the UK...would love to see you again and I think Kye would love to see Hensley again
Just got to my winter job in Florida, coming from Ohio. Did spark plugs and wires in Berea, Ky. Locals helped with a 2 day fix.... then weld on Hot water heater inlet broke in the panhandle.. Get an extended warranty, I did.. But when stuff happens, you find people willing to help you out... thats a good part of the RV community. Great video. Its ok guys to cry, as long as it's RV related. 😁😁
Y'all were so respectful not to put the "old people" thru the inspection, but now that life lesson is behind you. So far, for our first year out, we experienced a tornado "touchdown" 10 miles to the north of us in Orlando (our first night in the Airstream) and then evacuated Charleston SC during Ian, to only be in the cone in NC. And recently evacuated from Nicole to head back to Charleston SC. Thank you for the encouragement thru out the years of your Journey ~
I definitely get it about why that moment was different Nathan - that just says how much pressure and weight you put on yourself to take care of your family. I’m sorry you had to go through that but you guys have sure turned it around in a big way! Beauty from ashes!
I’m wondering if you happened to contact the folks that sold you the trailer and told them about it. I looked at one of them but I turned it down because our truck wouldn’t have towed it. Plus I wasn’t crazy about the layout. But I had the advantage of the internet and being able to research. Marissa do you think Nathan has learned to give up control?
I love how far you guys have come with the RV lift. I was so glad to get to work with you on your visit to our campground. Safe and happy travels to you guys. Let us know if you are in our area again :)
Thanks so much for that awesome story! I believe anyone who Rv's has had "that" day happen to them. I know we've had several of them. Its not the destination, its the journey!
Your kids are so great Little fears big fears. The wonderful thing is, they’re honest and they’re not sneaky and you know what’s going on. I love the last couple seconds of Hensley pretend crying. She cracks me up.
Ok, maybe I missed it, but what happened to the original RV? Did you just get it back and sell it after the repairs? If not, how long did you use it? You can't leave us hanging here!
I am 71 years old and married but we do not travel. I have thoroughly enjoyed traveling with LJMJ and seeing the country thru you and your children’s eyes since your season 20. I look forward to every Sunday watching your next adventure, seeing your children grow, how you handle your RV problems, the memories you are making, the people you meet and encourage along the way. It is all wonderful, thank you, Nathan and Marissa for sharing your lives.😊
Wow, what an experience! I too got burned years ago by a “sweet elderly couple” so I know the feeling. I assume you spoke to them about the problems but just chose not to say any more about it in the video. If ever there’s a time for a real man to cry it’s that hollow feeling that you’ve failed your family. It’s inspiring to see how the two of you worked through it and now here you are.
That is a very encouraging event in that you didnt give up and others came along side you folks encouraging and possibly giving direction. I could see how that scenario with the sellers could have easily caught anybody by surprise.
so doing your fudge striped cookies with cooked marshmallows over hot colas in my wood stove and well delicious and my waist line is going to pay a heavy price LOL
Thank you for sharing this story and your journey with us. A lot of my family and friends love Daddy Joe's (Jellystone) in Tabor City. It's convenient (within 1-2 hours for most of them) and the quad sites are wonderful for group camping. Safe travels.
Ok, I’m in my new to me RV watching different people on the RV TH-cam channel and I came across this episode where y’all are at Jelly Stone RV park. You are talking about JJ being scared of different things and as soon as Cindy the FIRST THING YOU SAID TO JJ was Are you scared of Cindy the bear, and of course he said yes, because you put the word “scared” in the first sentence that you asked him. Just don’t use the word “scared” when talking to your kids.
That’s awesome I never Knew that your journey started only 45 minutes from us. Daddy joes is where we developed a love for rving too. We have been many times and have always had such a great time there! We will be starting our full time journey in March and we can’t wait! You guys have been a big inspiration for us to get on the road and show our son this beautiful country!
It is great to hear about your first experience RV-ing and how the other campers helped you out. You make wonderful videos that show how you felt and what you were going thru. Thank you! FYI our niece borrowed a campervan from someone who assured it was in excellent condition --it was, and the mice that joined them on their trip thought so too ....hahaha. Scott and Julie
My wife and I watched this episode last night and can absolutely relate to JJ and his costume episode. Our youngest is a 4yo boy also! Our question for you is have you ever talked to the folks that helped you out on your first night? Looking at where you are now and how many people you have inspired to travel and chase their dreams since you began your journey to think that without their kindness it may have been a very different journey for you. Thanks again for all you and your family do and have a great day!
Wow I remember this video I remember you guys pending the for goal can’t believe I’ve been watching your channel that long and you’re one of my favorite channels you have such a good contact on your channel keep up the good work
God bless pure hearted JJ. It’s so pure and innocent that he was afraid of Halloween. God bless your sweet family. Y’all are truly blessed.

Thank you, we hope so too. So far his stuffed llama friend is helping. 😀
I am getting teary eyed listening to the end of video of the tremendous support.
❤❤❤
Awesome sharing the life of your Tennessee Family on the road!

Life's a helluva ride!!! Enjoy the ride and get out and climb those mountains!!
Best video ever!! Funny, serious and real life honesty. 👏👏💖
Sweet and funny episode! RV is the greatest movie, too!😂😂😂
Stop it!!! My better half and I almost didn’t make it through the video! We laughed until we had tears about the llamas! Sorry JJ is having nightmares but that llama clip was hilarious! 😂😂

Another beautiful video about your family and experiences!!
Thank you so much!
Great story. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
Jellystone is our kids favorite campground we have been to. We had so much fun there for a week this past summer in Massachusetts
Thanks for sharing that! I appreciate your vulnerability Nathan!
❤

Life is always more interesting and exciting than the "perceived" perfect moment. Grab that brass ring and go for a ride!
I gave my daughter a spray bottle with water and lavender and other calming oil scents. I called it monster spray. She could spray it and smell it and it put her in charge of feeling safe.
Good one.
As always love watching your videos. Camping isn’t easy and cheap in anyway but the experiences you have can be awesome if you are open to it.
Very true!
Life brings education!
very cool vid
Funny stuff, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
That was either deceitful or unknowing of that couple. How unfortunate for you. Glad you met nice folks in your time of need. We really do enjoy your journey. 🇨🇦
Hensley: “Give him a Go-Pro.” 😂😂😂. Definitely takes the cake!
Right!!
I’m glad you guys decided to pursue your dream of full-time RV living so we can enjoy the country through your eyes!

I cannot believe you were just in Tabor! 2o minutes from my house. 2 young men from our church work at Daddy Joe’s. Wow!
I can’t believe I’ve never heard this story before. Very interesting! My husband never ever cries either
Thank you for watching. We have plenty of old stories. 😀
This was fun to hear your start story as I’m a fairly new watcher! Up here in Canada we call it mini-putt not putt putt lol
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
My heart went out to you. You can’t imagine how people sleep at night, taking advantage of you all the way they did. We love your videos. Glad you didn’t give up. Continued safe travels!
Thank you so much!
have you heard about Gypsy Guide? I just learned about it today, it's really cool.
Do you remember what TH-cam channel it was that you saw the fulltime rv video that inspired you?
The first rv channel that caught my attention was The Freedom Theory with Josh and Kailee.
Could you have used the lemon laws? I would have cried too!
Not sure since it was a private sale.
we are enjoying full time life in retirement we haveseen a good bit of our country more to come
I love hearing how people start out…all the scary memories & the good times. Keep on making those memories & sharing them with us. We are living it with you!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Such a sweet memory, even though at the time it must have felt like a nightmare!! And a hurricane to boot😳 I think kids are always afraid of something. I don't know if I was afraid of anything at JJ's age, but boy at Hensley's age I was afraid of the opening credits of Rifleman😂 I'm totally dating myself! Ha!
how sweet
Oh my goodness thank you for sharing your story!! The vision vs. Reality is so true and it's both more chaotic and wonderful than you expect lol. So glad you guys stuck with it through the chaos. Your maturity and joy really shows!! Thank you again for paving the way and allowing others to join your journey!! We adore you guys!!
You are so welcome!
What a beautiful story and they editing on this video is amazing. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe, safe travels, and God bless love ya Nancy
Thank you so much!
Where do you get your music from!? I LOVE IT. Your definitely not doing the same sound tracks as everyone else on TH-cam.
No, we get music from many different sources. 😀
So glad you decided to tough it out. Y’all have entertained and educated your followers for years. Thanks!!
Our pleasure!
Ya‘ll are making us misty over here.
😰
What a fun look back. The things that don't kill you only make you stronger!
That is true.
One of the reasons you inspired us getting an RV is you didn't let fear stop you guys. Great video!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Man Nathan and Marissa, after this weekend this video hit us hard! We are having the same thoughts that you were having. Especially since we left our RV at the shop in Chattanooga and came back to our place here in Whitleyville. There are so many unknowns at this time and things are scary. We have had so many thing go wrong over the years. We were sold a truck with the no suspension, our water leaked RV, the list goes on. The thing we remember is the adventures are worth it.

buying a rv saved our marriage almost called it quits brought us closer
Great news.
I didn’t see any teleride videos. Must have started after.
Great story! What ever happened to the little old lady who swore it was all ok?
Just got to my winter job in Florida, coming from Ohio. Did spark plugs and wires in Berea, Ky. Locals helped with a 2 day fix.... then weld on Hot water heater inlet broke in the panhandle.. Get an extended warranty, I did.. But when stuff happens, you find people willing to help you out... thats a good part of the RV community. Great video. So loved your backstory! Thank you for sharing.
I love how far you guys have come with the RV lift. I was so glad to get to work with you on your visit to our campground. Safe and happy travels to you guys. Let us know if you are in our area again :)
Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time and we will certainly be back. 😍

What a nice story! Thanks!
I’m so glad that you didn’t let first impressions detour your passion.
So glad you didn't give up. Love following you guys. ❤🇬🇧
Ok, maybe I missed it, but what happened to the original RV? Did you just get it back and sell it after the repairs? If not, how long did you use it? You can't leave us hanging here!
so did you contact the old owners and see if you could get some of your money back?
Love the fear story!!

Your so calm with your story. I would have went back to them people
Love your over-exaggerated snippets 😊
We had fun with this one 😂
so doing your fudge striped cookies with cooked marshmallows over hot colas in my wood stove and well delicious and my waist line is going to pay a heavy price LOL
Wonderful story… You’re such good parents to expose your children to such wonderful experiences
Thank you for sharing this story and your journey with us. A lot of my family and friends love Daddy Joe's (Jellystone) in Tabor City. It's convenient (within 1-2 hours for most of them) and the quad sites are wonderful for group camping. Safe travels.
But Daddy Joe's has such delicious ice cream in their store! And my wife beat me at that terrific putt putt!
That is good insight. Thanks for sharing.
What was the phone call like to the couple who sold you the RV after you realized what had happened?
Why didn't you stop payment on the check, and take the RV back.
Glad you prevailed and didn't give up. Quite a life you have made for you and your family.
10 out of 10 for effort guys, loved following you on your journey, Here's to many more years to come, safe travels.
Thank you.
Thanks so much!
We have a jellystone park here in california. Fun fun. Fun ..!
Great story. Glad you kept going.
Wow I remember this video I remember you guys pending the for goal can’t believe I’ve been watching your channel that long and you’re one of my favorite channels you have such a good contact on your channel keep up the good work
What a great story! God's plans for us are so beyond what we can imagine and He does provide in spectacular ways!
My red flag would have gone up immediately with the elderly lady's comment. Gotta watch out for sweet little old ladies...LOL!!!!
😂
Wow you are strong. After that I would have cried too. Glad you stayed with it because I love your journey.
