I bought my Logitech g303 4 years ago after watching your video and as my first gaming mouse to enter into the pc FPS world it was honestly the best mouse you ever could have recommended. I got 4 long years of great gaming out of it but now the mouse 1 switch is finally crapping out on me and I’m back watching all your videos and looking all over the internet for my next mouse. It’s a shame they never updated the g303 or continued making one in its diamond spirit because I’m yet to find a mouse that will fill his hole. I hope I can find something but thank you again for making these videos that help people like me have a great experience with our mice. Edit: I do think I will give the m42 a try because last time I listened to you on a mouse I fell in love with it and the fact you reviewed the m42 so highly and your gameplay reciprocated that I’m sure it is an awesome mouse.

I'm using a Logitech G305 with a Varta Lithium AAA battery and an AAA to AA adapter. This is my second one, got it from the RMA of the first one. The first one developed double clicking issues on the left button in less than a year (roughly between the 10th and 11th month after purchase) and it wasn't even heavily used.
The previous mouse I used was the Roccat Kone Pure Military Optical. That one lasted a few years and is also lightweight. Replaced it because it stopped remembering my DPI settings, but it later turned out that was a software issue.
The SpeedLink Kudos before that lasted 5+ years. At some point it started double-clicking, I opened the switch and repaired. Still works (11 years!), but haven't really used it since I got the Kone Pure. Replaced because I wanted a lighter mouse with a better sensor.

I returned the Viper Ultimate as the shape felt extremely awkward to me but the Mini was smaller and had a bigger back bump so it felt way more comfortable. I've been using mice since my Amiga 1000, back in the 1980s. Some things I've come to depend on are not even mentioned in this list. All you have is a list of clones, each with five buttons plus a DPI changer. There is not ONE mouse on the list with extra, programmable buttons. WTaF? At the VERY least, a "double click" (or, as my teenager calls it, a "SPAM click") button is a MUST have for me. I keymap it as a "Reload" button, and it quickly became a necessity, once I got used to it being there.
Next, the "ten gazillion click switches" are just so much BS. Notice that each of the guys reviewing mice is talking about the several different mice they've used recently. At that rate, with new models coming out all the time, no one will EVER wear out any of the switches, so why does it matter? HINT: It DOESN'T! I am on my computer for over eight hours per day, every day, and have NEVER worn out any mouse switches. I've worn out a lot of sensors, but not ONE switch. That's been true of the high end Logitech and Razer mice I've used and even true of the mice I've bought from flea markets (I'm looking at you, Sharkk) and online from China.
Likewise, DPI is pure BS as well. I use the Windows "Mouse Properties" window to adjust the pointer speed of my mouse across the screen. That being done, the ONLY use for DPI is the precision of stopping a mouse directly on ONE CERTAIN POINT on the screen. Since my hand and arm are NOT digital, I can't stop my mouse on a certain spot with ANY chance of success. The closest I can get is maybe 1/64 of an inch, and only if I get REALLY lucky. That being true, anything over a 64 DPI mouse is a TOTAL waste. Why people are talking about thousands of DPI like it's important just shows their ignorance of how a mouse works. Digital electronic devices used by "analog" humans are ONLY as precise as the humans using them, PERIOD.
It's the same as someone wanting a 4k display at a distance father away than their eyes can discern the difference between 4k and 1080p. If you have a 32 inch display (31.5" diagonal) like me, and are farther away from your screen than about 27 inches or so, your eyes physically can NOT discern individual pixels on a 1080p display, which renders the use of a 4k display totally moot. In fact, it can hurt your game performance. If the game renders extremely distant enemies as single pixels, at the same maximum render distance no matter what the resolution (as most games do), having that same pixel rendered at 1080p rather than 4k means it's FOUR TIMES LARGER and you are that much more likely to see that enemy sooner. I've known guys who played snipers in war games who were famous among the player base for "single pixel kills." It turns out they were turning their displays down to 720p and seeing the enemies as single moving pixels at the maximum render distance, before anyone else even knew they were there (and before the enemies saw them).
Having a 1080p display rather than 4k means you can have lower display lag, faster response time, higher display settings and a higher refresh rate and framerate (by buying a better quality display and better computer components) for the same amount of money. That's another point of contention. Beyond a certain limit, a higher framerate is also useless, as the human eye can not discern the transitions between frames. If you're capped at 144 Hz/144 fps, you're really at the point of diminishing returns. Unless you're a professional esports gamer, you're more than likely at or beyond what detail your eyes and brain will be able to notice from cycle to cycle, especially in a game where every pixel on the screen is moving at once, as your character moves and turns.
Spend your money wisely. Learn what's important and what isn't. Get more kills. "Get gud!" 😉

I currently use an older Razer Deathadder. I think it's the 2018 version. I can NOT say anything bad about the mouse, legitimately. I have a resting palm kind of posture, and the thing just fits perfectly. My hand has NEVER cramped on this mouse (I must say that I do landscaping and lawncare, so my hands are used a lot for work), it shows zero signs of wear and tear, the lighting is noticeable but not overdone (and still works perfectly), and the buttons and wheel still work buttery smooth. I have, on numerous occasions, been tempted to get a new mouse for a variety of reasons, but none of them have been able to woo me from my Deathadder. This thing feels like it will last forever. Which is an oddity as my setup, peripherals and PC components, are Corsair-centric. I want to get a Corsair mouse for that uniformity, but until my Deathadder dies, I will not being going full Corsair. Sorry Corsair.

for right hand people do you like ambidextrous mice? and also if you’ve experienced both which is better the model o or d-

I prefer ambidextrous mice, most right handed mice don’t fit my hand but universal mice work better.

Razer Viper. It's ambidextrous, but I wish the right side buttons were above the wheel instead. Can't really hit them easily when in fights, so they're only used for things where I can change grip to push them. Do prefer the Roccat Kone Pure Ultra which feels a bit better in the hand and has the two button above the wheel instead of on the right side. But I have a thing I need to use Razer's Synapsse 3 for with lights, so I got the Viper, which is very good, just that the Roccat is a tiny bit better for me.

I was just looking for a video like this as my local store had some good black friday offers on a few of these mice. Perfect timing!
