The only thing more deadly that swordsman Jiraiya is Shion's cooking, they were naive not to wield such a mighty weapon against him.
I think they tried that for a split second upon which he literally faded into the background.
They should have brought 7 different warriors controlled by the same man.
Last time he met with Shion's cooking he straight up erased his presence. Dude has a plan against everything.

Sonido and Hirenkyaku are fairly uncommon to be used. So those could actually be considered more Bleach original skill if anything

Fun fact: Hakuruo's grandfather was a human transmigator. He was presumably a samurai who gained the trust of the orc village by protecting them from monsters and even saving them from a dragon. He married a female orc and had children with her. He also taught the orcs his sword technique and became his grandson's master. Maybe that's the reason why Hakuruo is the only orc who have never being discriminatory against humans and is willing to teach his swordsmanship to anyone willing to learn regarless of their specie.

We need to give props to Gobta he was the only one fast enough to turn around to face Hakurou and couldve blocked if he had gone for it, meanwhile the other 2 barely managed to turn their heads before receiving the attack. It shows that Gobta is a lowkey badass in the making, he's just often overlooked for comedy purposes😁

The first two are mostly fanservicey side stories so you can skip them if you so desire. The last three, are more story-focus and introduce some side characters that get mentioned and show up in season 2.
