Road rage was the perfect driving sandbox of Springfield. Lots of Easter eggs, lots of depth to the many maps. I remember fondly doing stunt jumps and hide and seek with friends during head to head, roleplaying the town and characters, etc. Great game, great memories.
Playing hide and seek in Head to Head was the real reason I used to love this game. Forget the Crazy Taxi gamemode, what I used to do on my own in between multiplayer bouts was scope out new hiding spots in Sunday Drive. I only wish that Hit & Run had a multiplayer mode as well. The maps in that game would have been great for hide and seek.

Yeah Simpsons Wrestling isn't the worst game I played but I'm not saying it's good basically if I had to rate it I would say probably a 2 or 3 out of 10 which is still bad but I was able to play Simpsons Wrestling, Simpsons Skateboarding I wasn't really able to play, While I will agree with you that the Simpsons Wrestling had weird controls but you can actually play it, If you want to know a way worse game try playing Dark Castle for the Sega Genesis or Action 52 for the NES. But my point is that you can actually play the Simpsons Wrestling while Dark Castle and Action 52 you're pretty much punishing yourself.

I pulled off the greatest last minute clutch chasing down my opponent, jumping to land on top of him about 10m before the destination and reaching it first. Don't know how this memory has stuck with me so long!

We saw her so much that we made the game hit Sheela (In Sunday Drive). Every time we saw her we HAD to hit her. Sounds cruel but it was really quite fun.
If someone curses me out, so help me God I will go in my grave. Simpson's Road Rage is actually good both PS2 and Game Boy Advance. I dont mind the graphics and gameplay as long as I have fun. I admit though that Simpson's: Hit and Run is better than Road Rage. That was one of my favorite games from childhood.
I still play Road Rage, Hit & Run and Crazy Taxi on my PS2 pretty often. As a single player, I find both Hit & Run and Crazy Taxi to be more fun than Road Rage. But Road Rage has something the others do not: a fun two-player option. Playing head-to-head and trying to steal the passenger from each other as you near the destination makes for some hilariously tense banter.
I wrote to playstation on their section for recommended re makes and explained to them into as many letters as i was allowed as to why they should re make it. That was 6 years ago no reply and as of yet no remakes

Dude when my brother got this game we both thought our game was broken because of that loading screen, we legitimately waited for ages on it and nothing happened. Finally our parents just returned it and we got the GBA game instead.
This game was my childhood! Me and my sister played this for hours on end. We didn't even play it like you're supposed to. We just pretended the people we picked up were our friends or family and we would each pick a house to live at. We would try to drive like normal people and stuff too. We rented hit n run a few times and that game was miles better and I always wanted it, but never got it. It blew my mind when I was a kid.
The game was genuinely fun in Sunday drive mode. It was the first game I ever played with destructible objects and reasonably good physics for said objects. Of course now GTA does that even better.

I mean. If the game is old, it doesn't mean you can't criticize the graphics. The whole graphics debate is interesting. On one hand yes it's weird, back then capabilities were limited. But. Old graphics can be aesthetically pleasing at least. My favorite example is system shock 1 and 2. While the first one was pixelated, and stylized, almost timeless, I couldn't play the second game because the early 3d is abysmal. Back then maybe it was cool and groundbreaking, but looking back on it, there were even better games done in 3d. And here it's even worse, 2d animated series ar translated to 3d environment and it just feels wrong and weird
