29/04/2024 UPDATE: Hey everyone, TH-cam has glitched out on this video and for some reason restored the merch promo I cut out at the beginning, but without restoring the audio and so the entire video is majorly out of sync. I'll be in contact with the support team to hopefully get this resolved soon!
30/04/2024 UPDATE: I've fixed it now! Still have no idea why it happened, but I was able to revert to the original in TH-cam Studio and then cut the promo out again. Enjoy :) Also, 5 years?! How time flies...

Level 2 was one of my favorite levels ever...
Then level 3 happened.
At first I didn’t have a memory card so nothing saved but my brother and I tried our best to get as far as possible any time we could. Level 2 was a blast, but Level 3 was absolutely nothing we’d imagine. It’s just so beautiful.

Not even a little bit of an exaggeration, my PS2, was on consistently for over 30 months straight. I did not turn it off, at all. And it ran, perfectly the entire time, and works JUST as well, to this day. True fact. The original xbox and PS2 Are 2 of the best and hardiest consoles ever made.

Did anyone else feel like the smartest kid ever for figuring out that if you kick Carl into the Plant before talking to him, you start inside with the door sealed, thus giving you a shortcut to the end?
I felt like the smartest kid alive when I figured out I could use the monorail as a vehicle lmao
If you reset your car near the Plant, you respawn inside of it.

I never watched The Simpsons, but when I was younger, this game had such a profound effect on me and was (and still is) one of my favorite games of all time. And despite not really watching the show, I still knew the characters, got attached to them, and loved all the references that I did happen to know from the show. The soundtrack and gameplay were so enjoyable and I could play this game constantly.

I feel the same way about the movie. Never watched the show but seen the movie 800 times (back in the cd days when we had like 10 movies to interchange) and brings back much laughter and nostalgia.

That was one of the hardest missions ever as a kid took me about 200 tries.
Not wrong side of the tracks that one is easy. Delivering the nuclear waste seemed almost impossible when I was a kid.
I just now realized I could drive a monster truck, the car in the bowling building, a RC car and a quadbike.

Don't feel too bad I only realised LAST YEAR that when you get 100 percent in every level you can go to the phone booth and press r1 (for ps2) and bring up a new menu that lets you drive any car in any level. For example you can use the toy car in level 1
By the way, Grandpa Simpson wasn’t the only one sacrificed in the end; Frink and Snake also died

I'm Italian, I played this game 20 times when I was a baby but I always played it in Spanish because for some reason there was no Italian language on he game and as a child I did not understand English (Spanish is the most similar language to Italian). It's funny because I did not understand the plot of this game until now you're explaining it to me

I loved Hit and Run. I'm 20 and I still love it. I remember as a kid, playing this game. It's such a nostalgic game. All the levels, the characters, cars, clothing, gameplay was amazing.
They should bring it to the PS4 and PS5. Maybe update the graphics a tiny bit, not too much as it'll ruin the nostalgia. I miss playing this so much. I think I got it the same year as you back in 2005 when I was 5 years old.

That last level was complete bullshit. Having to do it all 3 times and starting from the beginning if you fail. I was 2 seconds off of winning on the last one.

I used to play this game as a kid and I finally found all my game discs. I love the cars in the game, although I always wondered why Homer's car was a convertible. Now that I'm older I can recognise some of the cars in the game; The comic book guy's car is an AMC Gremlin and Snake's car is a 1970 Dodge Coronet convertible. I never knew there was such a following for the game!

Oh my god, I dedicated so many hours of my life to this game, I also didn't have a memory card for the longest time lol, the only way I was ever able to beat any game was if me and my siblings got up early, and played the game all day long until we finally passed it, now that was true gaming, not this micro transaction shit that we have now a days

There are cheat codes for this game one which grants invincibility to your vehicles for instance. There is one which grants access to the game's debug menu which is really a complete list of all vehicles including some you normally can't drive but this requires you to have 100% the game first
In 10 years this is the first time I’ve actually known the story holy shit
funny thing is, this game was meant to be a road rage sequel, but the lawsuit from sega caused them to decide to create all the cut scenes and the story. So this game is only as good as it is because the first one caused a lawsuit. i also notice how many of the voice lines revolving around the car were reused from road rage.

Really the GameCube is just a better alternative, Simpsons Hit and Run and other third party games actually run properly on that platform (Hit and Run on PS2 is a blurry, laggy, 25FPS mess and the same applies to other games, such as Sonic Heroes which barely functions)l

I liked the game but for some reason, as was originally the case with Hit & Run, I could never finish the last mission

@@SWAGGER573 I thought it was amazing when I was a child but when you go back to it you realize it wasn't as good as you thought. Its a good game, but not amazing...🤷 I guess as a child you let the fact that Simpsons are in it blind you!

Tbh this and The Simpsons Game are my favourite games to come from the Series. Xbox 360 Version for The Simpsons Game specifically, Hit and Run was good on everything.

I saw this in my recommended feed after I got out of work today. I have to agree with you that is an amazing game. I absolutely LOVED it as a kid, and I 100% this game numerous times.
Man this game gives me great nostalgia I remember being young and finding it at GameStop in one of those BARGAIN bins it was 2$ I've watched this particular video 4 times in the past year just to reminder of how great this game was on my childhood. I set up a games room in my shed and it got me playing hit and run again. Never completed it before and i’m currently on Apu’s level and I’ve 100% every level so far. This will potentially be my greatest achievement to date

@@omegamanGXE oh god the shame!! I think I got stuck on the last race of Apu’s level. Then sent my rocket ship ps3 to be cleaned out my a mate, got it back recently so will take another crack and let you know if I make much progress!
1:27 I don't think anyone had a memory card back then.
I remember having the same issue cause I lost my memory card so I just had to binge play the game for 32 hours straight to finish it
