Can we reword this from "He's just not that into you" to "he's emotionally unavailable and has issues, it's not personal, it's a projection?" because that narrative insinuates that "we are not good enough for him?"
I take it as the guy seeing me as not good enough for him, not like I'm really not good enough. But I need to be realistic and accept that this is how he sees me. And that makes it alot easier to cut him out completely because I would never want to be with someone who sees me like that. If I just say to myself that he has issues, problems etc it actually makes it more complicated cause you just keep trying to 'fix' him instead of a clean cut.

I read the book "hes just not that into you" when I was 15 and I never liked that saying. To me, it always felt, icky. It felt like it was saying you're not good enough for him. After every break up, I would hear "Oh honey hes just not that into you" as if it was supposed to be healing or something? But really it was like rubbing salt in a wound. I also think it is a very disempowering statement. It gives off the impression that YOU as the woman need to be doing what makes HIM want you and if HE doesnt WANT you then YOU didnt do good enough and arent good enough. Nope. Never liked that.

I am so glad l found your channel. I was like you back in my 20s and 30s. I am in my 40s and happily divorced. I met a man after my divorced and fell into that trap because I was venerable for affection. Everything you mentioned l went through with him. Finally he told me that he loved me but he didn't not want a relationship because he was afraid of being hurt.. I used my FBI skills and found out he had a "friend" who came over late at night and left before the sun came up. I asked him about it and he claimed they were just friends and not having sex. I knew he was lying. He said l was the only person he wanted to be with sexually and wanted me to have his baby and we live together. I did not yell or get mad. I started laughing because i was hearing some HOT BS.I told myself "I am just not into him and l could do better." I simply stopped taking his calls and responding to his text. I allowed myself 24 hours to cry and feel the emotions because I ignored all the red flags for 2.5 years and l was in love with him. I had to retrain my thoughts back to how l handled men when l was in my 20s and 30s. So my focus is to be successfully single and multiple date until I am my head tells me I have found a committed relationship.

I was involved with a guy like that . He would talk to me every day and tell me about everything he was doing or his plans . He got back with his ex who also blocked him after a few days .I didn't say anything until he came back to me explaining to me about his hurt . By then I have decided for him to be just a friend of mine . So I treated him the way a friend treats another friend . He got mad about it and was angry with me so I blocked him.
