John Deere 110 Cleanup Project Part 24, The Mower Deck

I stumbled upon a John Deere 110 garden tractor with a mower deck, it was at an auction and I got it for a good price. I plan on cleaning it, fixing what's wrong with it, and taking it to display at a few farm shows. If I like it I might keep it. I usually have one or two other brands at the end of our vintage Wheel Horse garden tractor display.
This is part 24 of a multi-part series. In this video I clean and install the mower deck.

Those spindles sound horrible. Why did you not address those bearings and get the bailing twine out?

You're right, and I didn't talk about that. I couldn't find any grease zerks so I couldn't get any lubrication in there without taking each spindle apart. I don't plan on mowing with it so I didn't think it was worth it. I left it no worse than I found it so the next guy can fix it if he wants to.
